Now available at auction is this 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series presented in Obsidian Black over a Black/Anthracite leather interior. Originally introduced in 2007, the CLK63 Black Series was produced until 2009, with only 500 examples produced worldwide, and around 350 cars designated for delivery in the United States. Based on the modified CLK63 safety car used in the 2006-2007 Formula One season, the CLK63 Black Series was equipped with a list of motorsport-derived technology including functional carbon-fiber aerodynamics, a wider front and rear track, chassis bracing, a fully adjustable coilover suspension system and larger multi-piston brakes. This CLK63 Black Series was originally delivered to Virginia, where it remained until being exported to Lebanon 2016 to join a large Mercedes-Benz car collection. In March of 2022, this Black Series was acquired by the seller and returned to the United States. Now showing approximately 13,549 miles, this CLK63 Black Series is being offered at auction by the seller based out of Missouri.
This CLK is finished in Obsidian Black (197U). The exterior is reported to remain in excellent condition, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report and paint meter readings. The CLK63 Black Series features unique DTM-inspired bodywork, including wide carbon-fiber fender flares, a carbon-fiber front apron, a carbon-fiber finned rear diffuser, and a carbon-fiber trunk lid spoiler. The track of the CLK63 Black Series is widened significantly over a standard CLK; almost 3 inches wider in the front and 2.6 inches in the rear. Other exterior attributes of the CLK Black Series include bi-xenon headlights, double-dual exhaust tips, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, silver brake calipers with black AMG script, and specialized 19” forged alloy multi-spoke wheels that are mounted with Michelin tires showing date codes from 2019.
The interior is upholstered in black Nappa leather, including the deeply bolstered power-adjustable bucket seats and matching door cards. The center stack, center console, and instrument cluster all feature high-gloss carbon-fiber trim. The rear seat has been deleted as part of the Black Series package and is upholstered in black carpeting. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather with aluminum shift paddles, a Harman Kardon stereo, a Mercedes COMAND infotainment system with navigation, AMG-branded floor mats, drilled aluminum pedals, and stainless steel AMG door sill guards.
Under the hood, the CLK63 Black Series features a hand-built 6.2L M156 V8, which produces up to 500HP and 465 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via Mercedes’ SpeedShift 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The CLK63 Black Series can reportedly reach 60 MPH in 4.2 seconds and tops out at an electronically-governed top speed of 186 MPH. Enlarged intake ducts, reprogrammed software, and a low-restriction sport exhaust help the Black Series gain 25 horsepower over a standard CLK63. The Black Series comes factory equipped with a fully adjustable coilover suspension system, which allows height, dampening and rebound adjustment as necessary, as well as 6-piston monoblock brake calipers in the front and 4-pistons in the rear, both clamping down on cross-drilled and vented rotors. Other performance features include speed-sensitive power steering and chassis bracing across the engine bay and trunk. The CARFAX history shows dealership maintenance was carried out since new, and the last service occurred in July of 2021 including the mounting of new tires.

@BarryLe too small to photograph, I don't think the clear bra was on the in 2008.
The wheel arches look good but the car has 13,500 miles and is 14 years old, I'm not going to say you cant find something minor.
I've had 6- CLK black series cars and I can say this is one of the cleanest, all original examples I've had.
Dino356987: Please take pictures of the touched up stone chips on the hood. If it had a clear bra, how did the stone chips occur? Any stone chips on the extended wheel arches? Please advise.
@BarryLe It had a partial clear bra on the front but wasn't a great install so we removed it.
Front bumper, hood and entire car is in excellent condition, no door dings, dents or scratches, a few very minor chips the size of a pin head on the hood, that have been properly touched up.
