It is our pleasure to present this 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren "Saks Edition" Roadster finished in 710 Crystal Palladium Gray over a L12 Copper Silver Arrow leather. In collaboration with their Formula 1 racing partner McLaren, Mercedes set out to create an advanced grand-touring supercar that pays homage to the original 300 SLR race car of 1955. Powered by a hand-built supercharged 5.5L V8 engine that sends well over 600 HP to the rear wheels, the SLR features active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a lightweight carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) construction. The “Saks Edition” is an appearance group package, as part of a promotion with department store Saks Fifth Avenue. Sold new out of Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel, this 3-owner “Saks Edition” SLR shows just under 5k-miles on the odometer and is now being listed for auction by its seller out of Florida.
The Crystal Palladium Gray paint is described as being in excellent original condition, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. The styling is inspired by the original 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé and features advanced aerodynamics including an active rear spoiler/airbrake, a streamlined underbody panel, and a rear diffuser. Some other distinctive features include side-exit exhaust, butterfly doors, yellow calipers for the 14" Cross-Drilled Brake System, and signature 19” Turbine wheels.
Inside this SLR sports a unique “Saks Edition” L12 Copper Silver Arrow leather, a two-tone steering wheel with carbon fiber trim, floor mats with leather trim and SLR-logo embossed headrests. From the factory, this SLR features optional X-Large driver's seat and XL passenger seat, as well as standard amenities such as a Bose Surround Sound System, dual-zone automatic climate control, and auto-dimming mirrors. All features and accessories are said to be fully functional including the power-operated convertible soft top. Specific to this model is the M155 SLR 5.5L V8 engine featuring all-aluminum construction, a twin-screw supercharger, and dual intercoolers. Located toward the middle of the car one meter behind the front bumper, this hand-built engine offers excellent weight distribution and an output of up to 617 HP at 6,500rpm and 575 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed AMG Speedshift R automatic transmission with three manual shift modes, allowing this Roadster to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 3.6 seconds while reaching a top speed of over 200 MPH. Stopping power is handled by 14” lightweight/ heat-resistant carbon-ceramic rotors, 8-piston front calipers/ 4-piston rear, and Sensotronic Brake Control. All services have been carried out by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership and the car is reportedly up-to-date with a recent routine service in September 2020.

Tires are original tires, never replaced.
Door struts haven’t been replaced but they’re not really bad considering other SLR’s I’ve seen. Just the driver side goes down from time to time, not always. Passenger side has no problems.
No PPF.

@rocketman No cosmetic defects at all, both interior and exterior are looking like new. Previous owner had 3 SLR’s and a lot more cars and he kept all of them in immaculate shape. As did I since I purchased it.
I did not attempt to get a second key, never needed it.

The title shows exempt as well because the car was 10 years or older when I purchased it.

No history of accident or paint work done on the car.
Prior to my purchase the service was done by the original owner in July 2012 at Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel. When I purchased the car in August I had it checked out by Mercedes-Benz of Fort Lauderdale as you can see on the CarFax report. Maintenance inspection checked, brakes, oil, tires all checked. It has been driving great with no problems since I got it.
All service record are available, also with all the paperwork the original owner had between him and the dealer at the time of purchase.
The car is located in Doral 33178, in my garage.
