We are pleased to offer this 2008 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S Coupe finished in Carrara White over a premium black full leather interior. Featuring wide fenders and a 3.8L flat-six engine sending power to all four wheels, this 997 also came factory equipped with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Adaptive Sport Seats with crested headrests, and the Sport Exhaust System. Additionally, this example has been fitted with Fuchs-inspired 19” Sport Classic wheels and a high-end Pioneer stereo. Sold new from Carlson Porsche of Palo Alto, this 997 remained under the care of its original owner up until 2019 before it was sold to another private enthusiast in California. Having traveled just over 23k-miles from new, this C4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Nevada
The Carrera 4S is presented in the nonmetallic shade of Carrara White. The seller notes only a small touched-up imperfection on the lower portion of the front bumper, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. As a 4S variant, this 997 shares its wide fenders and large red brake calipers with the Turbo model. Noteworthy details include factory Exclusive red taillights and upgraded 19” Sport Classic wheels with black painted centers and polished outer lips. These Fuchs-inspired wheels come dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires and feature colored Porsche center crests.
Inside, this 997 has been appointed with a premium black full leather interior featuring Alcantara headlining and Adaptive Sport Seats. Other options listed on the $105,705 factory specification sheet include a fire extinguisher, Sport Chrono Package Plus, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and Porsche crested headrests. A high-end Pioneer touchscreen stereo has been installed in place of the original PCM, and all gauges and accessories are said to remain fully functional.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine paired with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. As much as 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque are distributed among all four wheels allowing this 997 to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4.5 seconds. The optional Sport Exhaust System also provides an enhanced engine note while the Sport Chrono Package Plus adds variable performance settings for the driver to choose from. Routine service is said to have been carried out by the original selling Porsche dealership in California up until 2019, and there are no outstanding maintenance items reported. The seller has offered to provide a fresh oil change from a local Porsche dealership upon sale to the next owner.
The sale of the 997 will include a clean title. Easily one of the most desirable models of the appreciating 997 generation, this low-mileage 6-speed Carrera 4S makes an excellent investment as well as a fantastic all-around driver.

@jjelosek1 You are correct. Since the car is not at our warehouse I do not have meter readings. As far as we can see the paint looks original. The car is in excellent condition.

@991dream @Chipdahl folks with all due respect why does every single 997 listing have to have the same boring questions. RESEARCH THE TOPIC!!!! There is nothing you can do to an 08, less than 2% chance of failure so you buy it and are probably safe. Or pay $25k more and buy an 09 Good luck

Hello. Is this 997 engine that is prone to IMS bearing failure? If so, has the IMS been replaced? Also what did the inspection reveal?

@coolclassics As you know, I found what appears to be a great local shop for a PPI and tried to communicate with the you, but you were not responsive.
Also, after several requests this week, still no DME report. This leads to one of a few conclusions. Please help us help you. :-)

Prices of 997.1's are on the rise lately. I own an same year in Guards Red over Savannah Beige with 35K miles. Gonna keep a close eye on this one. Those Carrera Sport wheels really work nicely on the 997.1
