One of less than 200 examples delivered to the U.S. in total, this 2008 Porsche 997 GT2 represented the most powerful high-performance 911 yet with a twin-turbocharged Mezger engine driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. It comes finished in GT Silver Metallic over a black full leather interior with extensive leather trim options and includes heated Adaptive Sport Seats, the BOSE Surround Sound System, Parking Assist System, and Sport Chrono Package. Showing under 16k miles on the odometer, this generously appointed GT2 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Arizona.
This 997 comes finished in GT Silver Metallic and rides on black-painted 19” GT2 wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. While it shares the wide bodywork and rear side air intakes with the contemporary 911 Turbo, the GT2 distinguishes itself with a unique front and rear fascia as well as a fixed rear wing including integrated air scoops on either side. Additionally, the GT2 comes standard with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) including yellow-painted calipers. The CARFAX report shows a damage in January 2022 that is said to have been limited to broken glass, a corresponding repair invoice is provided. The seller adds this GT2 also recently underwent paint correction, ceramic coating, and dry ice treatment, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black full leather interior includes Alcantara-trimmed door panels and seat centers as well as optional extended leather upholstery covering the dome lamp console, rear center console, door finishers, steering column, instrument surround, sun visors, roof liner/pillars, switch panel, seatback coathooks, and rearview mirror as well as the door speakers, PCM surround, seatbelt outlets, buckles, steering wheel trim, and gear lever. Other options include an exclusive aluminum footrest, self-dimming mirrors, heated Adaptive Sport Seats, BOSE Surround Sound System, Navigation Module for PCM, Parking Assist System, and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.
The 997 GT2 is equipped with a 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine that utilizes twin Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers and produces up to 530 HP and 505 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, providing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3 seconds up to a top speed of over 200 MPH. Stopping power comes from vented ceramic composite brakes paired with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear aluminum monobloc calipers. The CARFAX report shows routine maintenance and the seller notes the car has been recently serviced by Porsche Chandler. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors are recommended for replacement.

@atlrvr thank you for the kind words. I think being transparent is the only way to sell a car. Especially a car this caliber and someone paying such high dollar for it. I have bought cars in the past where dealers or private sellers were not very honest. I learned a lesson and never bought from them again. My reputation and dignity is definitely worth more than a car. I have sold many cars over the years and I can proudly say that everyone who has bought from me will give me a great reference! That alone to me is priceless!

Very well presented, beautiful car. Minor-ist quibble is the front plastic spoiler lip is is the part from a .2 GT2 RS (very common when people replace them, they select the RS lip instead) I'd personally swap it back to the .1 GT2 lip to keep it 100% original, or at least wait until it gets scuffed and needs to be replaced which with a new owner driving it like they should, won't be long at all :)

1 day left for this beauty and 1 lucky bidder will take her to a great new home. I have uploaded a start up video, walk around video and paint readings that I found. I did my very best to be very transparent with this auction and here to answer any other questions. I’ll also help with shipping as well. Btw- I drove the car today for about 10 miles to make sure everything was perfect. Such a blast to drive in the Arizona highways and curvy roads.

@MezgerTT the bodyshop and Porsche did inspect and no paint work was done previously and same with detail shop. But I’ll try to get some paint reading as soon as I can. For more questions feel free to call the Porsche dealer and their collision shop. I did everything I can to show the bidders that this car is in top notch condition with recent service, structural and paint inspection along with $4000 detail. Only thing left is the TPMS sensors and I am open to PPI’s at bidders expense. Although it’s has been already!

@MezgerTT I had the car inspected for structural and paint by Porsche dealer and Porsche certified bodyshop. It all came back to factory spec. Along with mechanical inspection sheet and DME report. Documentation is available for all the work.

One of the most underrated of all the modern-ish Porsche, I hope to see a strong result for your 997.1 GT2 as they are truly special machines, and much more deserving of hype than most realize. GLWTA!

Hello all and welcome to my GT2 auction. I’ll be available to answer any questions you may have but I tried my best to supply pcar with everything on here and hopefully it answers most questions. The car is in excellent condition after the service done by Porsche Chandler, structural and paint inspection done by Autobahn Collision (Porsche Certified) compete dry ice, interior and exterior detail by the best in the country ( I am Detail) on Costa Mesa, California. The minor incident on carfax is only for a glass replacement and NO body repairs or paint was done. Full inspection report and DME is available.
