Like its predecessors, the 997-generation GT2 was designed to be the fastest and most powerful road-going 911 yet with a twin-turbocharged Mezger engine driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. This 2008 example is one of less than 200 sold in the United States and is believed to be the only one finished in Midnight Blue Metallic. The cabin showcases premium Dark Grey Natural Leather upholstery and includes a host of amenities like BOSE Surround Sound System, Navigation for PCM, and illuminated carbon fiber door sills. It was acquired by the current owner from a Porsche dealer in late 2020 and is now being offered for auction out of New York showing just over 19k miles on the odometer.
The GT2’s bodywork is based on the contemporary 911 Turbo and features a revised front spoiler lip along with titanium exhaust pipes, side skirts, a fixed rear wing, and a rear bumper with finned air outlets. This example is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with optional red taillight lenses and factory 19” GT2 alloy wheels mounted ahead of yellow brake calipers. It currently rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and an additional set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires is said to be available. The full front end and rocker panels are preserved under clear paint protection film and the seller reports one day of track use during their ownership at a driver education event. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The driver is greeted by a Dark Grey Natural Leather and Alcantara interior with full carbon fiber bucket seats, optional illuminated carbon fiber door sills, an aluminum footrest, and a “GT2” logo storage compartment lid. Other options include self-dimming mirrors & rain sensor, floor mats in interior color, BOSE Surround Sound System, and Navigation Module for PCM. The seller notes the plastic inserts on the bucket seats have been custom painted to match the exterior.
The GT2’s 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine is paired with twin Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers and features titanium connecting rods as well as a titanium sport exhaust system. Up to 530 HP and 505 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, providing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3 seconds and a top speed of over 200 MPH. Standard performance features include Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and a limited-slip differential. The seller states that routine maintenance has been observed and the CARFAX report shows a visit to Porsche Huntington in March 2023. The car had performance modifications previously installed by TPC Racing in Maryland that have since been removed, although steel brake rotors have been installed in place of the original ceramic composite discs. @yoojeankim I can get exact date from Porsche in Freeport, NY on when I did the flash tomorrow. I haven’t driven the car much either, the miles will show, and I certainly don’t abuse my stuff either, i put a lot more miles on my gt3…The clutch was done within the last 1500 miles by south shore performance in Freeport. The “flash back” was done similar time, about a year n half ago I’d say.
also another question because having these mods, you'd want a tune to match what modifications were done. When did you flash the ECU back to stock? How many miles were put on? How hard was it pushed after the flash?
Usually a GT2 with mild mods and a tune, the stock clutch can hold out but with your mods the clutch should have been swapped as well.

@vengerider sorry I missed the brakes, and that it’s not listed in the write up, but the car will come with the stock pccb’s - i originally intended to hold the car a lot longer than a few years, and invested in a steal set up almost immediately.
This was my car previous to the current owner. I traded it in a few years ago at Flemington Porsche. I installed the EP exhaust and did a bunch of other mods to the car. It’s certainly broken in right, had lots of fun in the car as the DME will tell you. GLWA.

@vengerider - from the bes tof my knowlege the car had the below modifications, however I did have the ECU flahsed back to stock by Porsche South Shore, located in Freeport NY. The mods that im aware of were performed by TPC Racing in Maryland. The 775hp Blitzkrieg Package included a new tune, turbos, headers, 127mm intercoolers, and Red Line synthetic fluids for the engine and gearbox.
Car has Akrapovic mufflers (not exhaust)
TPC also installed GT3 toe rods and Cup rear lower control arms with all new shims
TPC also upgraded the clutch packs and ramps with heavy duty items along with Red Line 75-90 gear oil to deal with the added power
Performance Modifications consited of:
TPC Racing Blitzkreig turbo set - (these are just rebuilt stock turbos)
TPC Racing Blitzkreig turbo header set - (still on i belive)
TPC Racing intercooler set 127mm
Blitzkreig tune (now tuned back to stock)
Denso race plugs DPP - (new spark plugs since i have the car)
Redline racing fluids - (all new fluids since ive aquired)
TPC Racing GT3 toe rod set (still on)
DSC ecu
GT3RS rear lower control arm cup (still on)
Ramp set & Clutch pack - (Clutch was done within last 1500 miles by Bill Rudtner south shore performance)
@mmonchik Can you provide a list of the mods that are currently on the car? Very confusing and not your fault. Do you have any original parts? PCCB's, exhuast, etc.?

Car looks great! Noticed Europipe exhaust is installed - great choice. The body color matched harness seat inserts is a nice subtle detail.

@DJATL just confirmed that these are the panels with PPF.
10-11 paint meter readings are normal with PPF on any panel.
I have PPF on several of my cars and those readings are consistent related to other areas without any film.
@DJATL I live local to the P Car Market headquarters in NY and they did the meter for me… so my initial assumption would be PPF, but I’ll inquire and follow up. To my knowledge car has never been repainted.

Wow... just, Wow! Stunning specimen. While the GT3's get a lot of attention, the GT2 is a total beast. Best of luck to the seller and the lucky new owner. I wish I was a viable candidate.

Have the same in a 2003 996tt.
Don't see it often since most that go up for sale are either black or silver.
Very rare color other than Speed Yellow.
