We are pleased to present this 2008 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S Cabriolet finished in GT Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior. Having remained under the meticulous care of its original owner since new, this low-mileage 2008 example is said to be in exceptional overall condition with several PCA concours awards earned throughout the years. Showcasing Porsche Exclusive side graphics, 19” Carrera Classic wheels and a 6-speed manual transmission, this Carrera 4S is now being offered by its seller in California while showing approximately 20k miles on the odometer.
Reported to have always been garage kept and covered when not in use, the GT Silver Metallic finish on this 997 is said to be in outstanding condition (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). 3M paint protective film is applied over the front bumper, hood, partial front fenders and mirror covers. This 997 features a factory optional painted rear model designation as well as dealer-installed genuine Porsche Exclusive side graphics that read “Carrera 4S”. The Cabriolet top is said to be as new and the factory optional 19” Carrera Classic wheels are also said to be in excellent condition. This Carrera is reported to have won several concours events including a First in Class at the Spokane PCA national concours.
Inside, this 997 is appointed with a black leather interior featuring heated front seats, metal door sill model insignias and the power seat package. All factory specifications are retained, and the cabin is said to be in pristine condition.
Power comes from a 3.8 L flat-six engine which is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. 355 HP is delivered to all four wheels making for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.7 seconds and a top speed north of 175 MPH. This 997 is said to have undergone all routine service at an authorized Porsche dealership from new and the seller confirms it to be in fantastic driving condition.

I have had the pleasure of knowing the seller for years and this car from new. Bidders can bid with confidence as you will not buy from a finer gentleman. And if you are interested in this model Porsche, I doubt that you will find a finer one...

The tires were replaced by Porsche Stevens Creek 5 years ago and 5000 miles ago as well as the TPM sensors. Bluetooth or Carplay were not available during 2008, sorry.
I don’t know about Sonos, I never listen to the radio or sound system - I prefer the lovely sound of the 3.8 at the back! Jf

@JakeH It's a legit question that needs to be answered as I bought my first 2002 Boxster S and no one told me about the recall (nor did I do the research). I didn't know and should have been told. Now I wonder every time I drive the car if the bearing is going to go out. My car only has YTD 27,000 miles on it, but that's not the point. I'm not doing this to try to keep the price down on the car, but wanted to know....... Keep on Keeping on!
@Snobird58 There is no recall on this model year as I checked last week with the Porsche service dept while doing the service maintenance - I asked this question about replacing the bearing, 2 separate dealership assured me it was not recommended as they have not seen a failure with this model year.
@Snobird58 - It is exactly this question that will limit the true value of this year and model. There is obviously those that say it's a very very small chance that this can happen - but there are those that also say - if you buy this car also reserve the money to get the IMS replaced.

@Jfbulycz has there been a recall on the IMS bearing, etc. I heard that this year has experience failure
@FLCarNut as a fly on the wall here, It is apparent that you’ve never operated the navigation system in one of these cars. It’s completely and utterly useless, better off without it. Would you like an cell Phone from 2008?

I am Jean Francois and I have owned this beautiful C4S cab since new, in March 2008 when I took delivery. It is with sadness that I am parting with her after all these years of caring for her. For all the meticulous attention to her appearance and mechanical health, she always rewards me with that deep throated flat six sound, precise feel of the road via the last of non-electrical steering and that deep down feeling of safety at any speed thanks to the grip of her 4 wheel drive and fat rubber. It all amounts to an instant smile soon after sliding in that hugging driver seat!
