Up for auction is this low-mileage 2008 Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet finished in iconic GT Silver Metallic over a grey natural leather interior. Equipped with the legendary Mezger engine and unique factory options, this Turbo represents a prime example of what is so special about this generation 911. With less than 1,500 miles driven since purchasing the vehicle, this Turbo is being offered in very nice condition by its seller with just 30k miles showing on the odometer.
The GT Silver Metallic finish on this Turbo is said to remain in very nice condition, however, some scuffing is present on the front lip spoiler, please view the detailed images in the photo gallery. As a Turbo variant, this example features include a factory widebody with integrated air vents, power-operated cabriolet top is finished in grey, and a set of factory 19” Turbo center-lock wheels (that have some slight curb rash) come wrapped in 2017 dated Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Upon entry, the driver is greeted by a grey natural leather interior that showcases desirable options such as a painted rear center console, heated seats, thicker leather steering wheel and extended leather on the instrument surround. An upgraded Sony head unit has been installed with all gauges and accessories stated to be working order.
Originally developed for the 911 GT1 Le Mans car, the Mezger engine is regarded by many Porsche experts to be the ultimate water-cooled power plant. Furthermore, this engine does not suffer from IMS bearing related issues as its oil system ensures constant lubrication. This 997’s 3.6 L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine delivers approximately 480 HP to all four wheels by way of a Tiptronic S automatic transmission. The seller notes that a service was performed just last month with all fluids and filters changed. It is said to be in excellent driving condition.
