The car has been upgraded with a Fabspeed performance package including a high-flow carbon fiber air intake, headers, and an exhaust system. The seller indicates all maintenance records are available since the car was originally purchased including annual recommended services, a brake fluid flush in 2021, and a new airbag sensor in 2023.

@Scp27 Thanks for reaching out. I do not know personally if it was done. However, every service record is in the gallery showing anything that was done to the car. Besides the Fabspeed Invoice, every service and repair as done at the Porsche dealership in Flemington or in Naples.

@carnut Forgive me, I stand corrected, DOT says a recommendation at 7 years, but no mandate (which I am amazed) and most manufactures are 7 to 10 years. Still, your comment is appreciated and correct about the tires needing to be replaced.
@carnut Yes, there is no denial that they need to be replaced by their age. DoT and tire manufactures are every 10 years, not 5, but yes, I would definitely put new tires on this car.
Tires with 2013 date. Dry rot? Supposed to replace every five years, per manufacturer

@artichoke Thanks for the questions. There are no idiosyncrasies with the modification. The car drives extremely well. No blips or hiccups from the mods. The sound systems from 2006 and 2008 would operate the same so I would guess there is no factory iPhone connectivity, however there are several companies that make a plug and play module that will allow Bluetooth and music streaming. There are no IMS issues with this model. The 997 Turbo has a Mezgar Engine which does not have the IMS issue.

@ltcjmramos Is it possible for you to let me know if this is an M 96 or an M 97 engine? Both engines were offered in 2008. If nothing else, the serial number on the bottom of the engine casings at the bottom center seam will have it listed as M 96 or M 97 along with the rest of the part number. There are. Also two slightly different cubic inch designations. If you could justify which one this is that would be helpful. They are only a small amount of displacement apart, but it will help me determine which engine format is included in the sale. Perhaps it’s cc and not cubic inches

Next time pay me and I’ll do the driving videos. Aka the street of Texas at 3 am in the morning. My 650 horsepower 996 tt coupe is in the shop right now, but we are turning it up . This car needs a dyno tune. Still not enough to keep up with 2500 horsepower twin turbos lambos and Mc larens. Now is a spectacle if you are in the middle lane and you watch them drive away lightning flames from their exhausts makes a great driving experience. Go to 1320 channel and watch what all of these is about. It’s real .
Any running issues or idiosyncrasies with the performance upgrades?
Does the control system offer Bluetooth connectivity to I-Phones? I had a 2006 which did not.
Any issues with the IMS bearing on this model, (I remember some turbo cars were not part of this issues).

@Anacapa I do not believe it can unless it's reversible for smog check. FVD software can be reversed via their tool. I don't know about EVOMSit.
@Anacapa In the Fabspeed literature, it states that they will not guarantee CA smog. They don't mention any other state. I have had Ferrari's with the Fabspeed High Flow Cats and they have passed California Smog. I think the issue might come from the ECU upgrade. I wish there was a definitive answer.

@id37833 There is no issue with the clutch. Feels perfect, grabs right and has no slip.
I see the performance mods have only been on for approximately 4k miles. Any issues with original clutch, Being the extra 100+ hp? I believe that hasn’t been replaced by the maintenance records.

@ltcjmramos good question, thank you. The package that is on this car according to Fabspeed, increases the power to 616HP/607/ ft-lbs at the crank. Stock is 480HP/460 ft-lbs. The items that are part of this package are:
HJS, German Imported 200 cell high flow sport catalytic converters.
CNC Mandrel bent, high quality T304 stainless steel polished.

@ltcjmramos Thanks for reaching out. Yes, this car passed smog in NJ Mutiple times with the Fabspeed Package on the car and the car does have Fabspeed Catalytic Converters on the car as well.

OK, doing my homework as I should have done, NJ has adopted CA smog check requirements. I have not gone through your very detailed posting of service records (thank you), but has this car passed smog checks with the Fabspeed package?
What performance increase is provided by the Fabspeed package?
What would be needed to return the car to stock to oass CA smog? Are catalytic converters still on?
