    Good Morning,

I do not have any pix of the underbody. It is mostly covered and protected from the factory with a removable under body lining. I have seen it while in for service and there is no rust that I can recall. The underbody lining really protects it kind of like a shell.

Re: small oil leak. I asked at the time if this needed to be investigated further and the shop said no, the oil was more of a stain than a seep but they wanted to noted it in the report - they are very thorough . I think they took a picture of it. I called them to see if they could send it to me if they still had it. If they do have it I will add the pic to the listing

  • Peabo (registered bidder) 5 months, 1 weekago

One of the receipts mentions a small oil leak and suggest a main seal or IMS bearing. Has this been addressed?

  • Kodiak1 (seller) 5 months, 1 weekago

Also to clarify, the incident occurred 10/15/2009. I purchased it in 2022. I did try to get the specific details but was unsuccessful. I also had 2 body shops and my service shop look at it, while on the lift and no one could find any sign of any issue or repair . I wonder if the rear bumper cover had been replaced although the paint matches perfectly. This vehicle was maintained with an open checkbook - If it needed any service or repair, it was done without hesitation.

  • Kodiak1 (seller) 5 months, 1 weekago

Thank you for your question. The report shows states that the issue was in the rear and was "Minor and Cosmetic". I suspect a parking lot issue. I assure you, there isn't a dent or ding or even a scratch on this vehicle. No idea why the report shows the way it does unless it was done in error.

  • Tripin6 (registered bidder) 5 months, 1 weekago

What was the damage to the car as stated in the Carfax report? It shows damage around the entire car.

Thank you for the question, I should have mentioned that re: photo 35. It is the black trim piece in front of the next and under the grab handle.

There are usually some for sale on ebay for $60- $90 price range.

It was that way when I got it. I'm not sure what would cause that. Something hot put on it? Something spilled on it? I have looked into replacing it and it is available, but never thought about it again after initial purchase. I guess it something that I didn't focus on due to its location. It's really only noticeable when you are sitting in the seats and turn around completely.

Thanks for your kind words. It really is a great car, if it didn't take me 5 minutes to get in and out of it, I would keep it. It really needs nothing. My wife keeps saying keep it as well, but we have 3 other cars besides the Cayman S , including a Porsche Macan Turbo.. the silly thing is, between the wife and I, and all 4 cars, we only drive 4000 miles a year or less in total!

  • needanothercar (registered bidder) 5 months, 1 weekago

I enjoyed the background in your photo 35, great positioning of the car. On photo 35, what does the photo represent and what is your estimate of the reason for broken surface?

  • KCRiley (registered bidder) 5 months, 1 weekago

I have seen this Cayman S in the flesh, very solid driver quality with a good maintenance history and the sport exhaust option provides an extremely satisfying soundtrack. The seller is an enthusiast with similar taste in vehicles to mine and were it not for a decision to step away from the two door world following the sale of my 987 Boxster I would have this beauty in my driveway today.
    Bid with confidence.

Like it a lot.......as long as you don't need a back seat. it'll do it all.......canyon carver, HPDE, daily, adverse weather, tourer.........can't think of anything other than off road or Home Depot duty it wouldn't be fantastic at. Drive it, maintain it, improve it....and watch it appreciate!

  • Kodiak1 (seller) 5 months, 1 weekago

    Hi All,

Thankyou for looking at my posting. I purchased the Cayman S with hopes that it would be retirement fun car. Due to issues with my left leg , I have not driven it much but when I have it has been a treat to drive. Very tight, balanced and responsive. I am hoping it goes to a good home where it will be enjoyed .

I have been involved with Porsche's since 1982 and have owned several. This is a good honest car, clean, un-modified and well optioned. Please ask any questions that you'd like, I will respond honestly and quickly.
