We are pleased to present this 2008 Superformance Mark III Daytona Coupe finished in Titanium Metallic over a black leather and Alcantara interior. Officially licensed by Carroll Shelby, Superformance manufactured high-quality replicas of the legendary Daytona Coupe from 2003-2009. These are the only Daytona Coupes officially recognized by the Shelby Registry aside from the six original Daytona Coupes built during the 1960s. Manufactured as a rolling chassis in 2008, this Daytona Coupe was completed by Bennett Racing of Alabama with a custom-built 412ci Dart aluminum block V8 engine mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Showing just under 3k miles on the odometer, this Superformance Daytona Coupe is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
Featuring fiberglass construction over a tubular space frame, the Superformance Daytona Coupe was developed by Peter Brock and Bob Negstad, the designers of the original Shelby Daytona Coupe. The Superformance Coupe shares a very similar appearance to the original Daytona yet benefits from modern aerodynamic refinement. This example is finished in Titanium Metallic and features race-inspired acrylic glass headlight covers, fog lights, side-exit chromed exhaust pipes, a rear lip spoiler with integrated third brake light, color-matched mirrors, and a billet aluminum fuel cap. The seller reports a few small rock chips on the nose, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. This Daytona rides on 18” black alloy wheels with knock-off hubs and polished outer lips, which are wrapped in Nitto NT555 tires dated from 2007.
The interior is appointed with black leather and black carpeting as well as Alcantara upholstery on the upper dashboard and door panels. Features include dual bucket seats with RJS Racing Equipment 4-point harnesses, a three-spoke leather-trimmed Shelby steering wheel, and Stewart-Warner instrumentation. Driver amenities include air-conditioning, roll-up windows, push-button ignition, and an alarm system with remote locks and an immobilizer. The glovebox has also been personally signed by Carroll Shelby. Auxiliary gauges and toggle switches are mounted in the center stack and the seller reports all accessories and instrumentation to be fully functional.
Under the hood, Bennett Racing of Alabama installed a 412ci all-aluminum V8 Dart block with a COMP solid block roller camshaft, an Edelbrock Victor Junior intake, and a Prosystems Holley 4150 4-barrel carburetor. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO-600 5-speed manual transmission and a 3.46:1 rear end with a Hydratrak limited-slip differential. The Superformance Daytona coupe comes equipped with adjustable coilovers, vented discs and power-assisted calipers at all corners, ceramic coated headers and an H-pipe ceramic coated exhaust, power-assisted rack and pinion steering, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The car is said to be up to date on maintenance and ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
This sale will include an owner's manual and operation guide, some featured publications, and a clean title. Considered to be the most authentic modern representation of the Shelby Daytona Coupe, this high-performance replica is not to be overlooked.

@coys There is zero evidence of this Daytona ever being in an accident. The frame is straight, with no signs of anything being repaired. Whoever wins this auction is going to get one heck of a nice car!

@brucekaf .... I dont think the leg room is an issue , I have to move the seat up to drive it , you will need to be plyable to get in but other than that I think you would be fine.
I dont know what the rule in California is on assembled vehicles , if you live in Cali you would need to check or if someone else has the answer for that please chime in.
