Lamborghini’s flagship model of the 2000s and one of the defining supercars of the era, the Murcielago presents striking bodywork that houses a potent naturally aspirated V12 engine. The updated LP640 version was introduced in 2006 featuring a larger 6.5-liter engine, refreshed styling, and an improved e-Gear transmission. This 2009 example is one of 274 Coupes produced for the model year and comes finished in Balloon White over Rosso Centaurus leather upholstery. It features a front axle lift system, carbon ceramic brakes with Tricolore-painted calipers, 18” Hemera wheels, an upgraded Fabspeed exhaust system, and a Pioneer head unit with a rearview camera. This iconic Italian supercar was purchased by the current owner in 2021 and is now being offered for auction out of California with under 19k miles showing on the odometer.
Designed by Luc Donckerwolke, the Murielago uses traditional Lamborghini styling cues including a low wedge-shaped profile, large air intakes, and signature scissor doors. The LP640 version was updated with more aggressive bumpers, new taillights, aerodynamic mirrors, and asymmetrical lower side vents to accommodate an oil cooler on the left. This example is finished in Balloon White and features Tricolore-painted brake calipers with Lamborghini script mounted behind black 18" Hermera alloy wheels. Other equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, automatically deploying “bat wing” upper air intakes, an active rear spoiler, a glass engine cover, and a rear diffuser with an integrated central exhaust outlet. The car rides on Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires from 2018 and clear paint protection film is applied on the front end. The CARFAX report shows an accident to the front end in 2010 and the front bumper cover was replaced as a result. A pre-purchase inspection from March 2024 also suggests evidence of paintwork on the rocker panels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features adjustable bucket seats in Rosso Centaurus leather with quilted inserts and matching upholstery on the center console and door panels. The black leather dashboard is accented by red stitching, and the leather rear bulkhead is adorned with quilting to match the black Alcantara headliner. Accessories include a three-spoke Alcantara steering wheel with a red center marker, column-mounted aluminum paddle shifters, Murcielago-branded floor mats, carbon fiber door sill guards, automatic climate control, power windows, and a Pioneer head unit with a rearview camera. The car is also equipped with an optional front axle lift system.
This Murcielago LP640 is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine rated at 631 HP and 487 lb.-ft of torque. A 6-speed e-Gear automated manual transmission sends power to all four wheels and the braking system features cross-drilled carbon ceramic rotors. An aftermarket Fabspeed exhaust system has been installed with the secondary catalysts removed, and the car passed its last California emissions inspection in 2019. Service in March 2024 included an oil change and brake fluid flush.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

Best of luck with the sale to the seller, a shame I couldn’t afford it but I guess I’ll just have to enjoy my 6 speed gated Murcielago for the time being.

It’s to help the new buyer make an educated buying decision, clearly your trying to conceal all these things in hopes of a higher bid which speaks to what kind of seller you are.

Why make a negative comment if you're not a bidder
Very strange comment from the seller that if someone is questioning the history of the car, it must be because “they’re jealous and can’t afford it.” In fact, it’s quite the opposite… Those of us who have saved enough to afford a special car want to make sure the hard-earned money is being well spent, which is exactly the purpose of asking detailed questions.
@dearolddartmouth Thank you for your bid, A driving video will not make the car more than what it is, like all Lamborghini's there will be code over the life time of use, I assure you there are no codes present, I am confident that this is a perfect car, so, I invite you to come look at the car , if not satisfied , will reimburse you time
Bid in the amount of $99,999
@dluxor1 This is not the same car please keep your comments to yourself, jealousy will not help you to afford a car like this, that is why you do not own one
It most certainly is this car and the carfax backs up that story. Please do your research before buying this car!
Bid in the amount of $69,420
Bid in the amount of $10,250
@dearolddartmouth if you are not a bidder for the car why are you commenting false accusations, the computer shows no e gear faults
@dluxor1 this car was never for sale 3 years ago, you must be referring to another car, so until you inspect the car for yourself please no not post comments that are not true
Bid in the amount of $10,000
I almost bought this car about 3 years ago was about to finalize the deal until I learned it was crashed into a bridge twice! I see that it’s a deal breaker for others as well. Good driver but that history will always follow the car.
You've had weeks across the BaT listing and now on Pcar to add a driving video, why haven't you posted one yet?
Also the PPI you shared (only on BaT and didn't post here by the way) clearly states there are e-gear codes.
Bid in the amount of $5,310
To All, PPI shows This car needs no service work, there are no e-gear codes, will pass ca smog, did so in 2019, carfax report is in the listing
Pretty sure this would need a passing smog to be sold in CA
Does the car need any service work. Can you provide a car fax for this car?
Can we get a driving video and more clarity on the e-gear error codes?
Bid in the amount of $250
So odd the seller would say its "sold" in the BAT comments after the auction....as well as a number of other comments. I would highly recommend a PPI on this car
@halocars yes you are correct this car was on bat last week
Was this the car that was on BAT?
Would it be possible to get some driving video?
@halocars yes there are records , All fluids changed 03/2024 , clutch is 70%, always been dealer maintained before I purchased, everything works as it should, front lift, bat wings, e-gear, rear spoiler, Mirrors, A/C cold, battery 2021, tires 2019, no codes or warning lights. what else can I say, these cars are amazing drivers, thanks to VW, Audi
Any service records, and a current clutch snap?
