It is our pleasure to present this 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster finished in special Pure White paint over a “Silver Arrow” Tobacco Brown leather interior.  In collaboration with their Formula 1 racing partner McLaren, Mercedes set out to create an advanced grand-touring supercar that pays homage to the original 300 SLR race car of 1955.  Powered by a hand-built supercharged 5.5 L V8 engine that sends well over 600 HP to the rear wheels, the SLR features active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a lightweight carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) construction.  Reported by the seller to be one of only two examples in this particular color combination, 1 of 520 Roadsters, and #1924/2157 SLRs produced in total, this rare Mercedes-Benz shows just over 8k miles on the odometer and is now being listed for auction by its seller out of Florida.

The special Pure White paint is described to be in excellent original condition, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX.  The styling is inspired by the original 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé and features advanced aerodynamics including an active rear spoiler/airbrake, a streamlined underbody panel, and a rear diffuser.  Some other distinctive features include side-exit exhaust, butterfly doors, silver calipers for the 19" Cross-Drilled Brake System, and signature 19” Turbine wheels.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in exclusive “Silver Arrow” Tobacco Brown leather with optional black carbon fiber trim and SLR-logo embossed headrests.  From the factory, this SLR also features an optional XX-Large driver's seat, an X-large passenger seat, and standard amenities including a Bose Surround Sound System, dual-zone automatic climate control, and auto-dimming mirrors. All features and accessories are said to be fully functional including the power-operated convertible soft top. An image of the original $516,240 specification sheet is posted in the photo gallery.

Specific to this model is the M155 SLR 5.5L V8 engine featuring all-aluminum construction, a twin-screw supercharger, and dual intercoolers.  Located toward the middle of the car one meter behind the front bumper, this hand-built engine offers excellent weight distribution and an output of up to 617 HP and 575 lb.-ft of torque.  The rear wheels are driven by way of an AMG Speedshift R 5-speed automatic gearbox with three manual shift modes, allowing this Roadster to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 3.6 seconds while reaching a top speed of over 200 MPH.  Stopping power is handled by the optional 19" Cross-Drilled Brake System which includes carbon-ceramic rotors and Sensotronic Brake Control.  All routine maintenance is reportedly up to date with a recent service carried out at a cost of over $7k including a new battery and alternator.

This sale will include one master key and a clean title.  Easily one of the most significant supercars of the modern era, this striking SLR McLaren Roadster makes a great investment as well as a perfect complement to any world-class car collection.

  • 5020love 3 yearsago

Bid in the amount of $110,000

  • 5020love (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

@5020love thanks for the paint answer - did you see the question about the backup camera and does it have expel on the front end - how about scrapes under the front bumper

  • RosnerMotorsports (seller) 3 yearsago

@5020love can not put a paint meter on the car, body panels are lightweight carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) construction , paint meter will not read. Car has no Paint work. Thank You

  • 5020love (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

Can you put a paint meter around the car to see if there has been any touchups - I had one of these and mine did not have a back up camera so accidentally bumping into something while parking was a potential problem - as 8,000 miles is a lot of miles for a car like this
And I noticed a screen where the radio is - was an after market camera added ?

@R3Nterprises : 2nd Key has already been ordered. I appreciate your input and hope to see you bid on the car. Thanks

  • R3Nterprises (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

    Very cool & special automobile
Just a suggestion... I’ve seen a few auctions of late with only 1 key, and I realize it’s my opinion but I think providing only 1 master key seems like a real shortcoming/“miss”.

Suggest spending the $$$’s and purchasing another key, since I assume any serious bidders at what I assume will be a crazy (expensive) price point for this super exotic would want 2 keys

Seems like it’d be time & money well spent.
