Launched for the 2009 model year, the 997.2 model was updated with a restyled front fascia, new LED taillights, and a redesigned touchscreen PCM system along with a more powerful family of direct fuel-injected engines. This Carrera Coupe comes finished in Carrara White over a Stone Grey interior and features optional heated and ventilated seats, Bose High-End Sound Package, an exclusive aluminum footrest, and 6-speed manual transmission. It was acquired by the owner about a year ago and has since undergone a comprehensive service. Showing just over 58k miles on the odometer, this 997.2 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia.
This Carrera is finished in Carrara White and rides on upgraded 19” Carrera Sport wheels with black-painted centers, polished outer lips, and Michelin Pilot 4S tires (2520). Clear paint protection film is applied over the front end and the seller notes some small chips and imperfections to the exterior. The car was reportedly driven for three sessions on the track and was previously refinished on the passenger side to address the damage reported on CARFAX in 2018. The Stone Grey interior is appointed with optional heated and ventilated seats as well as the Bose High-End Sound Package, a Bluetooth phone interface, Navigation Module for PCM, an XM Radio receiver, and an exclusive aluminum footrest. An aftermarket shift knob has been added along with a set of WeatherTech floor liners, and the original carpet floor mats are said to accompany the sale.
Producing up to 345 HP ad 287 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in less than 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller states that a new clutch and flywheel were installed within the last 7k miles along with new brake pads and rotors, spark plugs, belts, fluids, and bump stops.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title (lien).

@PheasantRun Transmission fluid was changed. I only took it to one track event. I only did 2-3 short sessions as it had street pads and tires. I was mostly running a buddy of mines race car that I maintain. I am a national PCA instructor, and ran the car in the blue/white group(didn’t take it in the full bore black/red group). Clutch still has 90 percent life in it.
Was the transmission flushed as well? Sorry for the two posts.
Was the clutch replaced before the track events or after?

I bought a car from him. 996.2 back in 2017. Still going strong. The car was as advertises. I still might pickup this one. Still considering it along with a more dedicated track 911.
@Viper999 I am not a mechanic(by trade), flipper, or dealer. Think Hoovies, garage but I am Hoovie and the car Wizard. Some people have bucket list travel, I have bucket list cars. Now unlike Hoovie, I typically fix every little thing that is wrong and I am over the top with the maintenance(if needed). I do not sit around so I do some big builds for others. I am one of the few guys in the area that rebuild BMW M, Ferrari, Porsche water cooled and air cooled motors. Also, take on some repairs that the dealers/Mechanics can't figure out.
This car was well cared for before I bought it. The only thing I did to was the belt, bump stops, and plugs.
I remember seeing this car for sale on Facebook and considered making an offer but then the ad was taken down. Based on your selling history on Facebook and a quick Google search of your username, it appears you have sold many cars. Just to confirm, are you a dealer? Or mechanic? Or just a hobbyist? If you are a dealer or mechanic, did you perform the repairs yourself? Thanks
@SFPirate the car was side swiped in a parking lot. Just scratches. You can’t see any sign of damage or body work in the inside of the fenders or door. You could never tell it was in an accident unless someone told you(even if you pulled panels, and knocked on the body). The rear bumper is original and was not body worked. Front bumper still has its original ppf.
@SiMOD It has H&R springs. I do have the originals.
Any idea what the damage to the right side was? Any pictures?
