Up for auction is this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4S finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over a black full leather interior. Introduced for the 2009 model year, the 997.2 generation debuted a lightning-quick dual clutch PDK transmission as well as a more reliable direct fuel-injected flat-six engine. This Carrera 4S has been factory optioned with PASM Sports Suspension, a limited slip rear differential, Sport Chrono Package Plus and the Bose High End Sound Package. With some considerable service items performed including the installation of a new PDK transmission, this 2009 example is said to be in excellent driving order with approximately 92k miles showing on the odometer.
The Meteor Gray Metallic finish is said to be in great shape with some minor signs of road-going wear (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). As an all-wheel drive variant, this 4S utilizes the widened body style of the 911 Turbo model. This 4S can also be distinguished by its rear reflector strip located between the two taillights. Clear side marker lenses have been added along with a red “S” emblem. This 997 retains its factory 19” Carrera S II wheels which come dressed in Bridgestone Potenza tires dated 2017 in the front and 2019 in the rear.
This 2009 example has been configured with a luxurious black full leather interior featuring power Comfort Seats. An aftermarket Passport radar detector system has been installed, and the cabin is said to be in good condition with all gauges and accessories working properly. Highlighting a factory build sheet totaling over $108k, this 4S is equipped with the following optional features:

This 997.2 carries a direct fuel-injected 3.8 L flat-six engine which is desirable for its immunity to IMS bearing related issues. 385 HP is distributed to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch PDK transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.3 seconds. Optional performance features include PASM Sports Suspension, a limited slip rear differential and Sport Chrono Package Plus. Stated to have been meticulously maintained, this 4S underwent a major service at 73k miles which included all new spark plugs, wires, fluids and filters. New brake pads and rotors were installed at 88k miles and the PDK transmission was also replaced within the last 22k miles. Having undergone a recent 90k mile service, this 4S is noted to be in excellent driving condition.
The sale of this 2009 997.2 will include a set of two keys, owner’s books and service records. This nicely configured Carrera 4S is just waiting to be enjoyed by its next owner.

@9under63 There is NO warranty left on the new transmission as it was 2 years or 25000 miles.
@9under63 New pics of front and rear bumper will be added soon. Radar detector is a Passport 9500ci installed I believe by the first owner. It was done at great expense by a professional installer who is unknown to me. See interior shots of the console to view clever hidden location of unit and placement of controls.
Could you possibly post the PDK replacement invoice. Any Porsche Warantee left on it? What year and model Passport is installed? Under front and rear bumper pics would be nice as well.

Can you support multiple PPIs in the time remaining for bidding?
@57nate There has been so much interest in the car that most would cover the cost of a PPI. Also everyone tells me that they would want their own shop to do it.
Have you had a PrePurchase Inspection performed? This is a high mileage car that could be in a range of conditions mechanically. A PPI would go far to help a buyer feel at ease with the risk of condition of the car.
Oops, I meant $10000!
My exact question to the Porsche Dealer in Ann Arbor. They had no answer except to show me the error code and tell me to replace it. There was no remaining warranty and no parts that were replaceable. So $1000 later a new transmission.
Why the new Transmission? just curious - very rarely they go...
