Up for auction is this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera S Coupe finished in Black over a black standard leather interior. Updated for the 2009 model year with a larger direct fuel injected engine and optional 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, this 997.2 also came equipped with the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose High-End Sound Package, and Power Comfort Seats with exclusive Porsche crested headrests. It was sold new in Maryland at an original sticker price over $100k and was eventually acquired by the current owner out of Texas in 2015, before moving to Michigan in 2017 where it resides today. Regularly serviced per the manufacturer's recommended intervals, this Carrera S is now being offered with approximately 92k miles showing on the odometer.
This 997.2 comes finished in nonmetallic Black with red-painted brake calipers and rides on factory 19” Carrera S II wheels dressed Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The second-generation 997.2 featured new LED taillights and daytime running lights as well as a revised front fascia with larger air intakes. Some signs of road-going wear are noted, and clear paint protection film has been applied over the hood. The seller adds that the car has been kept in covered parking and stored away during winters, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, you will find a pair of heated Power Comfort Seats with driver memory settings and exclusive Porsche crested headrests. Other options include self-dimming mirrors, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with Navigation Module, Universal Audio Interface, and XM Radio receiver.
This 997.2 is equipped with a direct fuel injected 3.8L flat-six engine that produces up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Paired with optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, this Carrera S can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 4.3 seconds. The seller notes routine annual maintenance has been carried out by independent Porsche specialists in Texas and Michigan throughout their ownership, and CARFAX shows the last service to have been completed by Autohaus of Royal Oak in September of 2021 at 92,041 miles.

It is a great deal. With Pcar fees, you are right around 41K. Scheduled 12 year maintenance is PDK flush (1K), serp belt, plugs, Major Maintenance, so another 3K+. needs tires (1.5K installed), transport 1K?... so all in, still a good deal (assuming nothing found during Maintenance) at around 46.5K. Cars.com, auto trader, etc. have high mile 2009 CS at 53K-55K ask.

@Bahnburner I have not driven her in the winters while in Michigan. Prior to that she was in warm and balmy Texas. The latter half of the video shows the underside.
@KuntalV with no images of the underside of the car, what is the condition, seeing as the car has lived most of its life in cold, snowy locations?
@sharkhunter84 the ambient temperature was below 0C (32 F) and she has been in "storage mode" for the winter. I just rolled her out to make this video.
watched the cold start vid...youve got some idle hunt going on there for sure. Ive had 3 3.8 DFI cars and none did that
@Jsonorous I do not have any service history prior to my ownership. The mechanics have not flagged the PDK as needing service whenever I have taken her for maintenance.
@KuntalV Is there any service history for the first four years or 73K miles? Has PDK been serviced?

@bennettmcgregor - Interior is in good condition with no tears. We are non smokers and she has not been smoked in, neither cigars, nor cigarettes, nor vapes. There are no odors.

@wildthing There are no deferred maintenance items other than the tires. The last manufacturer prescribed 80K maintenance schedule was performed by Sports Car Repair of Houston, TX and most recent service by Autohaus at Royal Oak did not flag any issues.
Thanks. What other records do you have? Do you know if there are any other deferred maintenance items other than the tires? For example PDK service...
@sosmos In the course of my ownership I have maintained the vehicle in optimal condition and had it serviced regularly only by Porsche certified mechanics. It is running perfectly well and even at the last service (summer 2021) mechanics have given it a clean bill of health.
This one has a bid of an odd history, the first owner put more than 20K miles/year and no services documented in the Carfax. Then it was stolen and recovered ! How does it drive? Thanks.
@wildthing - The last service was done in summer of 2021. It was oil & filter change done at Autohaus of Royal Oak , Michigan ( Porsche Certified).

@Bklyndave74 . We will provide 2 sets of keys along with Owners Manual. 295/30ZR19 - 4711,235/35ZR19 - 4612. They are Michelin Pilot Super Sport in good condition but are not all weather/winter tyres.I will upload a startup video shortly. Thank you for your interest and good luck with the bidding.
