We are pleased to offer this 2009 Porsche 997 911 Turbo 6-Speed presented Black over a black full leather interior.  Part of a production run of just 336 models in the 2009 model year, this rare Turbo coupe features the highly desirable Mezger twin-turbocharged flat-six engine as well as the next-generation PCM offered in the 997.2 series.  Having recently received an engine-out service totaling over $8k, this 911 not to be over looked and being offered out of Washington with 50k on the odometer.

The Black exterior finished is reported to be in good overall condition.  Detailed photos are available in the photo gallery.  The Turbo is differentiated by its wider, more aggressive bodywork, rear side air intakes, and speed activated rear spoiler.  A set of aftermarket rear taillights are noted and the vehicle rides on its original factory 19” Turbo wheels that come wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Inside, this Turbo is appointed with black full leather interior.  All electronics are said to be in working order and the factory options include Adaptive Sport Seats, Bluetooth interface, PCM, Park Assist System, Sport Chrono Package, Carrara White Dials and a leather upholstered rear console.

This coveted Mezger 3.6 L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine designed by Porsche engineer Hans is rated at 480hp and 457 lb/ft torque that will push the Turbo to sixty in 3.7 seconds, all the way to its 193 MPH top speed. This is possible through a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to all four wheels.  This particular example benefits from a recent engine-out service that included a fresh water pump, auxiliary water pump and replacement of all coolant lines, totaling over $8k.  All records of the work performed will be included in the sale.   An aftermarket BBi exhaust is said to be installed and the car is said to be in proper running order.

The sale will include keys, books, service records, a car cover, trickle charger and a clean title.

@gpmotors Thank you for your interest. The red o es did not come with it when I purchased the vehicle. There are many places that sell them though if you’d like to return it to those. GLWTA!

@MK19 please ignore my prior post, it was related to a different listing.

  • MK19 (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

Yes, forgot about the plugs, they were also changed when I acquired the car as part of my initial services. I didn’t however change the coils. Have never experienced any missing. I may be misinformed but I have the idea that the later coil packs were less a problem than with earlier cars. My prior 996TT which I drove to over 80k never had a problem either but I did change those coils at one point anyway.

@JustTheTiptronic Thank you for your interest. I do not have one of those tools, otherwise I’d be happy to get those over to you. It has never been an issue and seems like it’s not as much of an issue as it is with an older vintage. GLWTA!

@PCARMARKET Just had a great question about the Sport Chrono and please know it’s working great with no led issues. Please see the link to the video below:

@myztahe my apologies for the delay. I am working with PCARMarket to have them upload the 8 videos I took for you. If you’d like to message me directly, I can email or text you a link to see them via iCloud. GLWTA. (All looks good btw)...in the meantime I’ll contact Pcarmarket tomorrow to see what the issue is.

@CarBidder thanks for your question & comment. I paid $2300 for enclosed.

  • CarBidder (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

@tb1414 How much did you pay for shipping which assume was from NC if you don't mind sharing? Was it open or closed container? Just want to get some idea and I live in TN.

  • CarBidder (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

@tb1414 According to Carfax spark plugs were replaced like 5 1/2 years ago (Nov 2015) at 40000 miles. Porsche's spark plugs are kind of hidden for most people to change them on their own.

@myztahe happy to oblige, I’m traveling for the next two hours, but will take them (to the best of my ability) upon my return.

  • myztahe 3 yearsago

@tb1414 thanks for the quick response. Undercarriage photos of the engine, exhaust, transmission, and four wheel wells would be great.

  • tb1414 (seller) 3 yearsago

@myztahe sorry I did not address the OEM muffler. I do not have the OEM muffler. The bbi system provides a very nice sound and would seem an easy switch back to OEM if you prefer that.

  • tb1414 (seller) 3 yearsago

@myztahe Thank you for your questions and I’m happy to attempt to take undercarriage photos. Please send the points where you’d like me to photograph and I’ll post them either this evening or tomorrow. I don’t have a way to get the vehicle on a lift, but I’m happy to put a selfie stick underneath and see what we can get that way. I don’t foresee any chassis issues as the car has a very solid feel and will not disappoint. If you’d like me to take it somewhere locally I’m happy to drive it to have a PPI done at your choice of local location and your dime. At the time of my PPI there was no mention of Chassis issues, but I’m happy to help in any reasonable way I can.

As far as taillights I don’t have the red ones, just the ones that are on there now, but I’m sure there are many outlets for finding those if you prefer that look. GLWTA

  • myztahe 3 yearsago

Additionally, will the OEM muffler or GT2-style red taillights (XXF) that came with this car from the factory be included in the sale?

  • myztahe 3 yearsago

Any shots of the underside / undercarriage? Would go a long way in helping us determine the condition of the chassis!

@CarBidder no history of rear main seal or other leaks that I’m aware of. I am not sure on the coolant pipes aside that the documentation of the engine out update is attached (European Autohaus receipt Spokane (Aaron H is who you’d call to speak with about that) clutch is strong. I don’t know the timeframe for the clutch, it may be listed as a service item on the carfax.

As an aside, this is a very good 997 Turbo that has not been modified and each time I have received feedback the mechanics comment on how nice of an example versus others of the same model. Thank you for your interest!

  • CarBidder (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

Coolant pipes have been welded? Any leaks or history of leaks like Rear Main Seal Leak? At which mileage or time clutch was replaced? I am assuming pre purchase inspection was done before your purchased?

  • tb1414 (seller) 3 yearsago

@CarBidder Thank you for your interest. The spark plugs were changed at the service with the prior owner, but still are within time and mileage requirements to my knowledge. I think this may be detailed in the carfax. There is no issue with the cruise control as whatever issue was identified was fixed by Leith Porsche. If I recall correctly it was a part that needed to be replaced, not an error issue.

As far as shipping goes, I’m happy to help coordinate from my end with the various companies that the successful bidder chooses.

I used Shiplux when I purchased the vehicle and had a good experience. Sheldon was attentive and the drivers were prompt and communicative. GLWTA

  • CarBidder (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

Did you change Spark Plugs in Engine out Service? Was radiator replaced in that service? What is wrong with cruise control (it shows error)? Are you willing to assist in Shipping and which companies?

  • tb1414 (seller) 3 yearsago

@dgp18 Thank you for your question. The leak is not significant enough to warrant a repair at this time, thus it was not addressed at the time of PPI. If it were more significant, I would have done it. I’m selling as I have a unique opportunity to invest in a privately held company and am divesting my Turbo to do so. Glwta - Traves

  • dgp18 (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

    Beautiful car. Two questions:
    1. Was the spoiler hydraulic cylinder leak mentioned in the December PPI addressed?
    2. Why are you selling?
    Many thanks!
