Available for auction is this 2009 Porsche Cayenne GTS finished in Black over a black interior. The first-generation Cayenne GTS comes equipped with a powerful 4.8L V8, sport-tuned suspension, unique styling, 21” wheels, and a special interior appointed with leather and Alcantara. This 2009 example was sold new in California before it was eventually acquired by the current owner from Porsche Centre Saskatchewan in February of 2019 and subsequently imported back to the U.S.  This GTS features desirable factory options including roll-up sunscreens for the rear side windows, air suspension, 12-way Power Sports Seats, Variable Assist Power Steering, and an exceedingly rare 6-speed manual transmission. Since purchasing the car, the seller has carried out extensive maintenance including installation of a new clutch, high-pressure fuel pump, coolant pipe, thermostat, and more. Now with approximately 92k miles showing on the odometer, this Cayenne GTS is being offered for auction by its owner out of Illinois.

This Cayenne comes finished in nonmetallic Black and sports a GTS-specific aerodynamic body kit including a Turbo-style front fascia, flared side skirt extensions, and body-colored rear valence.  Additionally, this GTS was ordered with an optional enlarged rear spoiler with a fixed double-wing profile as well as 21” Cayenne Sport wheels with painted wheel arch extensions.  The seller notes a few chips on the hood and door panels and states that the lower rear valance was previously replaced and refinished. A full paint correction has been carried out within the last month and the headlight lenses have been recently restored as well, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The factory-optioned wheels come dressed in a set of Michelin Latitude tires showing date codes from 2015/2016.

Inside, this Cayenne features a black GTS interior with an Alcantara headliner and 12-way Power Sports Seats with Alcantara inserts. The cabin is said to remain in very good condition while exhibiting normal signs of wear on the driver’s seat. The seller notes a small trim piece is missing at the rear of the center console as well as a cover missing from an outlet in the cargo area.  An upgraded head unit and backup camera have been installed, and the original non-functional PCM unit is said to accompany the sale.  A complete list of factory options is provided below:

  • 0TD     Floor Mats
  • 1N3     Variable Assist Power Steering
  • 2D1     Enlarged Rear Spoiler with Fixed Double-Wing Profile
  • 3FE     Moonroof
  • 3Y4     Roll-up Sunscreens on rear side windows
  • 7X2     Front and Rear Park Assist
  • 9VL     Bose® Surround Sound System
  • 9W5    Bluetooth Handsfree Phone Interface
  • A1        Black
  • ALA     Thicker Steering Whl 2 Tone
  • CY2     21" Sport Wheel w/ Wheel Arch Extension in Exterior Color
  • EXT     All Wheel Drive
  • PC3     Bi-Xenon Headlights with Washers
  • PF2     Porsche Communication Management incl. Navigation Module
  • PK3     Heated Front Seats
  • PO4     Light Comfort Package/Memory
  • Q1J     12-way Power Seats with Sports Seats Padding
  • QR1    Compass Display
  • QV4     XM Satellite Radio
  • TR       Standard Black Interior with Alcantara
  • UF1     Universal Audio Interface

This first-generation Cayenne GTS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.8L V8 engine that sends as much as 405 HP and 369 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission.  Compared to a standard Cayenne S, the GTS model offers a sport-tuned adjustable suspension, a one-inch lowered ride height, shorter final drive ratio, and larger intake manifold which helps achieve an increase of approximately 20 HP.  This example was also optioned with Variable Assist Power Steering for improved maneuverability. The CARFAX report highlights services dating as far back as 2010 and the seller has replaced a number of components over the course of their ownership as listed below:

  • Coolant Pipe
  • Thermostat
  • Carden Shaft
  • Clutch
  • Slave Cylinder
  • Flywheel
  • High-Pressure Fuel Pump
  • Driveshaft Flex Joint
  • Front and Rear Brakes
  • Spark Plugs
  • Coil Packs

A video of the undercarriage is provided below.

This sale will include a set of two keys, owner's manuals, service records, the original PCM head unit, and a clean title. One of the scarce few Cayennes to have been ordered with a manual transmission, this 2009 GTS presents a very elusive opportunity.

@CayenneGTS6MT Division says PCL and not PCNA. I personally didn't care either way but I was wondering if it would change the value. Clearly, I don't think it did. I did find it odd the car was a PCL car but first registered in CA. I assume it was sent to a Canadian dealer then purchased by the CA dealer because it was the spec they needed there in CA.

@guitarnyc this is a USA spec vehicle, delivered to California!

  • guitarnyc (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@Aiello11 It's a PCL (not PCNA) car though so I wasn't sure with it being a Canadian car. Looks like it could be close to a $40k car though if these 3 keep fighting :)

Any chance that you can take some pics of the underside? It being a car from the north and having the known rust issue on the driver's side door, I'm wondering about corrosion on the underside. Thank you!

  • CayenneGTS6MT (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@Cappy1988 I took a look at the driver’s door and found that the paint has peeled back and there is surface rust underneath. I checked the other 3 doors and didn’t see the same issue. Probably because the driver’s door gets used the most.

  • CayenneGTS6MT (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@Cappy1988 I will look at the drivers door tonight and get back to you. The Cayenne has not been smoked in and has no odors. The detail shop missed the ashtray, I had some papers in there that I removed to take the photo.

  • Cappy1988 (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

In picture 61, is that dirt of a rust spot on the bottom of the door?
Picture 66, there is debris in the ashtray was the Cayenne smoked in?

  • CayenneGTS6MT (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@Nelson_Wells I did not keep the hitch so I cannot include it. When I first bought the vehicle, I took it to the master hitch shop to have it checked out. They indicated that the 7 pin wiring wasn’t working and that the inside of the receiver tube had corroded and they could not get the tube with the ball to slide in. Since I don’t tow anything I had it removed.
The tires are close to end of life in terms of tread and age. I run snow tires and rims in the winter. If I were to keep the vehicle I would switch to all season tires. Since I am selling, I decided the next owner can determine what type of tire they want to use. The snow tires and rims are available to the winner if they are interested. I could have them installed for the drive home if desired. I drove it back from Saskatoon with the summer tires and original rims in the back so I know they fit.

  • Nelson_Wells (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@CayenneGTS6MT Thank you for your clear communication.
Curious.. Can the original removed aftermarket hitch be included and what was non functional about it?
    2. with 20k+ miles on them and date codes of 2015-16, is there any chance you will be replacing the tires pre-sale? or above a certain bid amount? or can you provide depth msmnts on them? They look pristine, but you understand. Thanks again.

@2004-MB-CL600 the towing capacity on this vehicle is 7,716 lbs so you can tow way more than a small trailer. Unfortunately, the vehicle does not have a tow hitch on it. The original owner added an aftermarket hitch but it was only capable of towing 5,000 lbs and was non functional so I had it removed.

  • CayenneGTS6MT (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

    @artichoke thanks for the questions.

Yes, the coolant pipe replacement was done using updated aluminum pipes.

Neither of the shops that have recently serviced the vehicle have indicated leaks above the manifolds. Or any other leaks for that matter.

Yes, the clutch, clutch slave cylinder, flywheel, release fork and release bearing were all replaced on 5/17/19 at 75,709 miles which was approximately 16,800 miles ago.

  • 2004-MB-CL600 (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Hello- can you tow a small trailer with this GTS? I don't see any section in the rear that indicates you can tow...

  • artichoke (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Have the plastic crossover tubes been replaced with the updated aluminum tubes?

Any leaks from the glued in fittings above the manifold?

Has the clutch been replaced and if so, how many miles on it?

  • CayenneGTS6MT (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Hello and welcome to my auction. I purchased this vehicle in February of 2019 with 72,186 miles on it and it has been my daily driver up until the end of October when I took delivery of my 2021 Ford Bronco. I have logged just over 20,000 miles behind the wheel and have enjoyed all of them. All maintenance is up to date and the vehicle is ready to be driven anywhere in the country. I'll be following the auction closely and am happy to address any questions or concerns you may have. Happy bidding!
