The 2009 model year saw the introduction of the 997.2 generation Porsche 911 with improved direct fuel-injected engines and the option of a new 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. This rare 997.2 Targa 4S was designated as a 2009 launch model and is finished in Macadamia Metallic over a Sand Beige leather interior. It comes equipped with a 7-speed PDK transmission paired with a 3.8-liter flat-six engine, optional heated Power Comfort Seats, a heated steering wheel, self-dimming mirrors, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and 19” Sport Design wheels. The car was originally sold in Connecticut and spent time in Canada before being imported back to the U.S. and registered in California in 2018. Under the care of its second owner, this Targa 4S is now being offered for auction with approximately 88k miles showing on the odometer.
The Targa 4S is distinguished by its unique sliding glass roof system, chrome roofline accents, and opening rear hatch window. As a 4S model, it also includes wider fenders than a standard Carrera and a full-width taillight reflector. This example is finished in Macadamia Metallic and rides on optional 19” Sport Design wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (2022). Other equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, auto-dimming power mirrors, LED taillights, quad exhaust outlets, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and red Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller notes clear paint protection film was applied over the front end and side mirrors by the previous owner. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Sand Beige leather interior includes a matching Alcantara headliner, optional heated Power Comfort Seats with driver memory, a heated three-spoke leather steering wheel, paddle shifters, automatic climate control, cruise control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), the Bose High-End Sound Package, and a sliding glass roof panel with an electric sunshade.
The naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Standard equipment includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and fixed 4-piston brakes with 330mm cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The seller states all routine maintenance has been kept up to date by BTM Motorwerks of Campbell, California.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This 2009 911 Targa 4S in Macadamia Metallic has been pampered and garage since I bought it on 7/20/2019. PDK with shifters, top speed 170mph, 2+2, semi convertible, full glass roof with curtain shade, no modifications, all stock and original. It is my 3rd p-car.”

@stockman it’s how you work on the shifter …down shift an on … it’s all on its drivers own way on how you drive
Thanks

@Kcogliano - not disregarding it is standard service listed in the manual, what is the risk if it’s not done? My understanding with the pdk is it’s pretty much bullet proof but if you do have a failure time to sell a kidney.
@VLLANESTARGA4S Can you let us know what you mean by tricking the PDK?

@Kcogliano sorry , I don’t have records as I bought it at 78k miles

@VLLANESTARGA4S sure and done are not the same things - is the 60k service done yea or no?

I have to say, Macadamia is a real beautiful color
Looks like no chrono + :-(
@julios12345 I’m the second owner and the car had 78k miles when I bought it so I’m sure the first owner had the PDK serviced at 60k
@G-Dub looks like the build sheet is on vinanalytics. I thought they were aftermarket wheels, too, but after looking them up, they match the 19" sport design wheels that show on the build sheet. Original window sticker shows as $112,355.00.
Hello seller. Has the PDK service done( 60k recommended) ? Thank you.
@VLLANESTARGA4S You're going to "trick" one of the best transmissions ever made to shave 1.3 seconds off your 0-60??? I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you are just not well-versed in this beautiful car. I wish you well in selling what I consider to be one of the best driving experiences of any 911. Your buyer will get years of enjoyment from this glass-top wonder.
@slwags10 385 HP 3.2 sec if you know how to trick the PDK
@G-Dub These are stock Porsche wheels . I’m the second owner so I don’t have the sticker price
Thanks
@G-Dub Sorry for the omission on the sale price. I don't want to submarine the seller reserve if this is legit, but it was a fixed price below 60K.
@G-Dub If allowed to say, Classic.com. Claimed it was a 400hp car with a 3.2 second 0-60, which we Targa owners know are both false without mods.
@slwags10 What site did you see it on? What was the ask price? All fair information
Are those wheels stock? They don’t appear to be…
Do you have a copy of window sticker or build sheet to share?
Bid in the amount of $20,000
Hello
This 2009 997.2 Targa4S is immaculate. Had this since 2019 as second owner. First owner was formerly NHL player reason for relocations from Connecticut, Canada, Southern California. It has been kept and well maintained since I owned the car. Moving back for good to my homeland reason why I’m selling the car
Thanks
Bid in the amount of $2,300
This car was for sale in October of this year by a private seller, far below perceived value. Comments were questionable by the owner, stating he had multiple Porsche cars and was moving out of country, etc, etc (common for a questionable sale). I'm not sure if this is the same seller, but please do your research. It is a gorgeous car and I hope its on the up and up.
Nice 997! Are you able to provide under car shots taken from a lift?.... given the locations the car has lived.
Thank you.
