In the early 1990s, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the second iteration of their iconic G-Class, also known as the G-Wagen or Geländewagen, to succeed the W460 chassis, which had been in production since 1979. The W463 G-Class went through several evolutions during its production run with one of the most significant occurring in 2009 with the introduction of a larger 5.5-liter V8 engine, refreshed aesthetics, and an upgraded infotainment system. This 2010 example comes finished in Black over matching leather upholstery and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with less than 52k miles on the odometer.
Throughout its long production span, the G-Wagon has maintained its iconic rugged, angular design with flared fenders and high ground clearance harking back to its utilitarian roots. Finished in Black (040U), this example features sidesteps, the Exterior Stainless-Steel Package, and the Chrome Package. Equipment includes a stainless-steel brush guard and matching rear-mounted spare wheel cover. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents black leather upholstery complemented by burl wood veneers. Appointments include a leather-clad dashboard, ambient lighting, an electric sliding/tilting roof system, the Seat Comfort Package, multi-contour front seats, and velour floor mats. The equipment also includes front seat heating and ventilation, rear seat heating, a heated multifunction steering wheel, a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Surround Sound System, COMAND infotainment, and illuminated stainless steel door sills. All gauges and accessories are reported to be working properly. The seller notes the trunk cargo cover was replaced within the last year, and a small area of rust is present on the driver-side door jamb which is only noticeable with the door open.
This G550 has a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter M273 V8 engine under the hood producing up to 382 HP and 391 lb.-ft of torque. A 7-speed automatic transmission drives all four wheels via the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, a two-speed transfer case, and three locking differentials. The Sport Exhaust System is also equipped. The seller states that regular oil changes have been carried out, a new battery was installed approximately two years ago, and new brakes, rotors, and pads were installed throughout the last year. A host of service documentation is said to accompany the sale, and the CARFAX report shows a total of 21 service history entries.

@Luxuryaircrafts Most of the service was done at Mercedes-Benz of Rockville Center. One service was done at Mercedez-Benz of Manhattan. I have the records of all services done since I purchased the vehicle. And I believe all or most of the records from the previous owners also. They are printouts from the dealership.

@Porscheman26 @Phardie1 it was purchased with a clean carfax, from the second owner. In my ownership there have been 0 accidents or panels repainted.
Regarding any rust on the under carriage. While it’s a low mileage example, this has always been a North East car. This would be present on most vehicles. It’s always been garaged in my ownership.

@Phardie1 The rust on the undercarriage is typical for a car driven on salted roads in the north east. This truck has seen lots of snowy roads. I can't imagine a better vehicle for it either.
Has g wagon ever been hit or painted? What’s with all the rust in the undercarriage? I guess driven during winter when salt on road?
Can you post a picture of the rust on the drivers door you mentioned and is there any other areas of rust on the painted areas of the body?
