For the 2010 model year, the 997.2-generation Porsche 911 Turbo was introduced featuring a new direct fuel-injected engine with a larger 3.8-liter displacement. Designated from the factory as a Press Vehicle (741), this eye-catching Cabriolet is finished in rarely seen Porsche Racing Green Metallic over a Sand Beige full leather interior and optioned with a 6-speed manual transmission, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Sport Chrono Package Turbo, and exclusive interior accessories. Showing approximately 43k miles on the odometer, this Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

This Turbo is finished in Porsche Racing Green Metallic, a very rare color that was added to the factory Paint to Sample catalog in 2023. The exterior is covered by a layer of XPEL Stealth paint protection film that provides a matte finish. Equipment includes a black convertible top, speed-activated rear spoiler, side air intakes, and 19” 911 Turbo II wheels. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Sand Beige full leather interior includes an Exclusive painted center console, Porsche-crested headrests, and outer door sill guards in stainless steel. Other options include heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, Dynamic Cornering Lights, a Sport Chrono stopwatch, a universal audio interface, a Bluetooth phone interface, and an XM satellite radio receiver.

A twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 493 HP to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 3.8 seconds and optional performance features include Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) and Sport Chrono Package Turbo. The seller states maintenance records are available dating back to 2012 and the CARFAX report shows service completed by a Porsche dealer in October 2022.

This sale will include a clean title.

@skywalker27612 Possibly yes, According to the dealership the readings are coming in higher all around because of the XPEL

You can reach out via the contact seller button and I will be happy to put you in touch with the service advisor from the Porsche dealership

Or if anyone here with some Porsche paint knowledge can drop a comment on the meter readings that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks and Good luck everyone

@gothamhunter So looks like the hood may have been repainted? The reading is substantially higher

I have the car going in now to Porsche for a DME reading and paint meter readings

  • Miked2020 (registered bidder) 11 months, 1 weekago

A DME report would be appreciated

  • FawsittMotors (registered bidder) 11 months, 1 weekago

@GWhuffalo Agreed on the matt film. If removed there is no guarantee that it won't take paint with it unless it was applied to original paint. You're looking at a minimum of $1,500 to remove this professionally and correct the paint afterwards.

  • FawsittMotors (registered bidder) 11 months, 1 weekago

Are the blemishes in photos 41, 42 & 43 in the film or the paint underneath? Thanks.

Were the recommendations by House Automotive in 2021 ever taken care of? I do not see any receipts for that work.

  • dukeyr (registered bidder) 11 months, 1 weekago

any opinion as to whether the "press vehicle" designation adds to the value of this turbo?
i'm looking for one like this in a rare color although wish it weren't on the west coast.

  • GWhuffalo (registered bidder) 11 months, 1 weekago

Everyone has there opinion and tastes. I’m a huge fan of Green. To me it looked way better without the film’s (matte) finish. Now it looks like it’s been wrapped IMO . The expense to do the whole car before delivery? Unfortunately for me I’d want to remove the film which is an extra expense. Lots of $ wasted just my opinion of course. Matte or Chalk seems to be fairly popular right now though and at least it’s temporary. GLWA

  • gothamhunter (seller) 11 months, 1 weekago

@KishoteS Thats really the only pictures I have of it as I had the Xpel stealth applied before taking delivery.

I dont think porsche charged for this color until it became a paint to sample color ( don’t quote me on that haha)

Really really love the color on this one. I dont think i have ever seen another 997 Turbo in RGM
Would love to know how many were produced

  • KishoteS (registered bidder) 11 months, 1 weekago

Sorry. Saw 88/89. Any more? Thank you. 0 charge for the color? Is that a Porsche internal thing because it was a press car?

  • KishoteS (registered bidder) 11 months, 1 weekago

    Great car. Any pictures pre-xPel?

Thank you. GLWA. Long way to go for this car to sell.

What service records are available? It states going back to 2012 but nothing is posted besides the car fax. Do you have both keys? Was PPF done under your ownership or prior?

  • gothamhunter (seller) 11 months, 2 weeksago

@VG18 according to Xpel it is easily removable and the PPF actually preserves the paint underneath

  • VG18 (registered bidder) 11 months, 2 weeksago

I think it likes nice but wondering how the paint will hold up if you take it off

  • Pjd74 (registered bidder) 11 months, 2 weeksago

@robmsales …the description states that the matte finish is from the paint protection film. I’m not sure if it’s the photos that aren’t properly conveying the matte finish appearance on this car but others I’ve seen with the same matte finish PPF look great when seen in person.
