I'm with you. I drove a v12 sl600 from NYC to Houston one time. I also drove a 64 chevy pickup across country.
I guess my point is: Driving the G on a long trip is more like a drive in the 64 chevy than a v12 sl.
Thanks for the honest advice. My 911 coupe I drove from Wisconsin 1300 miles non stop, my twin turbo I drove from Beverly Hills, non stop 1698 miles. I love to drive.

I just moved to Naples from Houston and my wife drove our g63. I do NOT recommend making that drive. If it weren't for the truck being loaded up with a kid and a dog, I would have just shipped it. The cost of shipping would have been close to the same as the cost of fuel and hotels for the drive...and you don't have to worry about rock chips in the windshield.

Thanks for the quick response. You are the first person who has actually had a tool to look up under there perfectly like that. Most try to lift with their finger and can’t show anything.
However, appears to be in a different area than where I am talking about. Picture 36 shows a paint defect right above the right (driver side) windshield wiper underneath the gasket.
What is going on there?

@Kwoodwo Hello The pic you request is uploaded #196 .There is no rust in the Windshield area you was mentioned on orher prior G wagon.

Picture 36 appears to show some paint imperfections near the windshield seal. These typically rust right there under the windshield seal (firsthand experience on a southern owned g63). It is a poor design that allows water to sit up under there.
Could you please take a picture with the seal lifted slightly so we could see if that is, in fact, what is causing the imperfection?

@drmoops Yes all Seat adjustments and sunroof works. There is no headliner sag or seprattion .
Do all pneumatic seat adjustments and sun roof work appropriately? Any headliner sag or separation?

@murrell48 just condensation from the cooling mechanisms. Specifically, the evaporator core leaks water from under the passenger side of the engine compartment when the air conditioner is being used. This is normal use.
