Introduced in 2009, the updated Porsche 997.2 generation Carrera 4S received a unique reflector band connecting the taillights along with a new 3.8-liter engine featuring direct fuel injection and the option of a new 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. This 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe is finished in Black over a matching full leather interior. Configured at a sticker price exceeding $113k, this example features the Sport Chrono Package Plus, a SportDesign steering wheel, heated & ventilated seats, Comfort Package, Infotainment Package, BOSE Surround Sound, and more. Showing less than 30k miles on the odometer, this C4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
The Carrera 4S featured wider fenders than a standard 997.2 Carrera as well as a unique reflector strip connecting the taillights. This example is finished in Black, and details include a speed-activated rear spoiler, LED taillights and daytime running lights, an electric sunroof, quad exhaust outlets, and red brake calipers. It rides on 19” Carrera S II wheels with optional colored Porsche center crests. The seller states new General G-Max RSXL tires will be mounted upon the sale. Minor signs of road wear are noted along with some paint imperfections on the rear bumper and a slight crease on the driver-side rear fender. Paintwork is suspected on the rear bumper, and a recent paint correction and ceramic coating have been completed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin sports Black full leather upholstery with optional heated and ventilated seats. Additional options include the Comfort Package, which adds power-adjustable seats with lumbar support, memory functions, and auto-dimming exterior mirrors with memory as well as the Infotainment Package which includes the BOSE Surround Sound System and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The Sport Chrono Package Plus was also opted for, adding a stopwatch dial atop the dashboard. Weathertech floor mats have been fitted, and all gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
Up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque comes from a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine and is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Equipped with a launch control function as part of the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, the Carrera 4S can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4.3 seconds. The seller adds that a 40k-mile recommended maintenance was performed at 27k miles, including services to the drive belt, air filters, and spark plugs.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, sales literature, and a toolkit.

@jllewan This was the last year for the hydraulic steering. The 2012 991’ s unfortunately started the electric steering.
@DrDck Unfortunately the inspection sheet was in the document package that I received when I purchased the car, (just the service invoices and work that was performed).
We are supposed to have decent weather starting tomorrow and will try to get some start up driving video done.
Does this year still have the hydraulic steering or electric? Thank you!

I don’t see the service invoice on here yet. I have sent Pcar a text about it so they can help get it downloaded. I’m sure I have done something wrong.
@rbrunson Hi, I just downloaded the 3 page invoice from the Porsche dealer concerning this service. They did a lot work including the spark plugs and synchronous belt. As you will see, the bill was approximately $3K.

Record shows 40,000 mile service done in August 2021 but no details. Have the spark plugs/coils ever been replaced since new?
What belts and hoses? How about recharging of AC?
Based on what I can see the 30,000 mile service is due where these types of items would be replaced.
Any information can you supply would be appreciated.

@jfriedenthal it’s very, very difficult to see in person too. If you look at picture #26 it’s at the top of the house roof , at the end of that reflection. I tried and tried to get a good picture but this is the best that it would come out, (it’s that minor). Hopefully my description helps if not, let me know.

I just picked the C4S from the Porsche shop for its yearly check up and oil/filter change. Everything was within spec with the exception of one of the retracting cup holders. They took the assembly apart and lubed the parts and now is perfect again! Mileage is now 29,233

@pinski thanks for asking but no, actually it is the optional Sports Design wheel with the paddle shifters on the back side and info on the spokes. It is listed on the build sheet.
That's a later model steering wheel, right?

This car has everything! IMO, the 997.2 was made for the amazing PDK intro and pairs up so nicely. Call it an executive 997 if you will, but a pure joy to drive! GLWTS

Great spec, I noticed the heckblende bar has a “Porsche” decal on it. That doesn’t appear stock. Was that an aftermarket add?
Thanks for visiting my auction for this Carrera 4S. We have 3 Porsche's and this car was specifically purchased for my wife with the PDK. Unfortunately, it has not been used as we expected and in the last 2 years we have only added about 2,000 miles. It's in super shape and hopefully the next owner will enjoy putting some miles on it.
