The pinnacle of the 997.2 Carrera range, this 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet is finished in Carrara White over a Black full leather interior. Pairing a desirable 6-speed manual transmission and optional limited-slip differential with its 3.8-liter flat-six, this example was further configured with heated Adaptive Sport Seats, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, the BOSE Surround Sound System, and various Exclusive selections. It was also modified with an upgraded air intake, aftermarket exhaust components, and an ECU tune. Acquired by the seller in 2013, this GTS is now being offered for auction out of Michigan with less than 45k miles showing on the odometer.
Sporting the wide bodywork of the Carrera 4, the GTS equips a SportDesign front fascia, side skirts, and a rear valance with a black lower diffuser. This example is finished in Carrara White with a black cabriolet soft top and rides on factory 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels in black with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2021. The seller notes that a previously installed exterior vinyl wrap was removed approximately one year ago, and a ceramic coating has since been applied. The rear model designation has been removed, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Black full leather upholstery. Optional equipment includes heated Adaptive Sport Seats with driver memory functions, the BOSE Surround Sound System, an XM satellite radio receiver, an extended navigation module for PCM 3.0, Voice Control, a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial, and self-dimming mirrors. Exclusive options consist of an Aluminum Look instrument surround, a leather center console, Porsche-crested headrests, a Sport Look footrest, and illuminated stainless steel door sill guards.
This 997.2 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine rated at 408 HP, an increase of 23 HP over the standard Carrera S. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional limited-slip rear differential lock, allowing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4.4 seconds. The Sport Exhaust System comes standard, while the Sport Chrono Package Plus was additionally optioned. Modifications include an air intake with a carbon fiber heatshield, Fabspeed mufflers, sport-tuned headers, an X-pipe primary bypass, and chrome exhaust pipes. An ECU tune is said to have been performed under prior ownership in 2012. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

Our 997.2 GTS has the silver instrument surround as well as silver seat belt outlet’s and Carrera white body color seat backs over Natural brown leather. Monster engine. Probably the best car for the money you can get, even today. 408 HP. The sound is unbelievable. You won’t regret buying this car.
Still pretty tame with an hour to go! I'm biased as an owner of a meteor grey 6 spd cab.. so keep that in mind when reading below.. :-)
I own two 911 coupes as well, and while I prefer the flyline of those cars, the cab is perfect for the way I use the 997. It's my go-to mountain driver and you cannot beat the sound of the PSE + sharkwerks with the top down... symphonic!
I've written about this car extensively on my blog and in Total 911 magazine (before they killed it). You're basically getting a 997 speedster at a price that allows you to drive it without regret. Bonus that the speedster was only available with PDK and while it's an excellent transmission, the 6 spd is the way to enjoy this car. It also beats the hell out of the 7 speed that was introduced with the 991.
I did some analysis of options on the blog with help from VINanalytics. Looking back at that data, there are some unique options on this car including:

Wow, this is my car's identical twin spec.
Your $9K Fabspeed is very cool.
Mine has a Sharkwerks X-pipe and the sound with the top up or down with PSE engaged is just a perfect tone and volume. Totally docile when PSE is off and off-throttle/lower revs.
Full leather/mucho Alcantara, ASS and .2 PCM are also valuable features.
Wind blocker is a must, near dead calm up to a buck+.

Sweet 997.2 GTS Cab. If I didn’t own a 2012 Targa 4S I’d be seriously interested. Best looking and one of most highly regarded 911’s IMHO. This should do very well !!

Kept hibernating in the garage in the nasty Michigan winter ? Carfax says it's been in michigan for 13 years . I live on long island and my car will never see the road in winter with snow melt salt on it . Don't want to be a pain in the ass , but to get better pics
of undercarriage on a lift would be nice . Give bidders , me possibly a look to see if its been on salty michigan winter roads

I've got a meteor grey 6sp cab. All stock except for the sharkwerks cross pipe. Occasionally I think about selling it. It takes about 5 minutes behind the wheel with the top down to remind me what a terrible idea it is!
