We are pleased to offer this 2011 Porsche 997.2 Carrera GTS finished in Carrara White over a Black interior. Among the most sought-after models of the 997 generation, the GTS offers an ideal balance of refinement and driver-oriented performance. This 2011 example commanded an original sticker price of over $113k and came factory optioned with the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sport Suspension w/ Mechanical Rear Differential Lock, Adaptive Sport Seats, and a 6-speed manual transmission.  It has also been equipped with a Sharwerks muffler bypass and a custom integrated radar/laser detector system.  Acquired by the current owner in 2020, this GTS shows just over 64k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction out of California.

This GTS comes finished in the nonmetallic shade of Carrara White and features side model designations in black as well as wide bodywork shared with the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 model. Clear side marker lenses have been installed along with OEM black stone guards.  The car is noted to have been previously preserved under Xpel paint protection film and is said to have been garage-kept throughout the current ownership.  Additional images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This GTS rides on factory 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels finished in black with silver outer lips and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.  An additional set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires is also said to accompany the sale.

Inside, you will find a sporty Black leather and Alcantara GTS interior featuring a pair of heated Adaptive Sport Seats. Additional options include the Bose Surround Sound System, extended navigation for PCM 3.0, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, and instrument dials in Carrara White. All-weather floor mats have been fitted along with a custom integrated radar/laser detector system, and the seller reports all accessories and instrumentation to be fully functional.

The 997.2 GTS carries a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine that has been factory tuned to achieve an output of 408 HP, an increase of 23 HP over the standard Carrera S. The rear wheels are driven through a desirable 6-speed manual transmission.  Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE) is equipped as standard, and this example features optional Sport Suspension (-20mm) as well as the Sport Chrono Package Plus. An aftermarket Sharkwerks muffler bypass has been installed along with BMC air filters giving this GTS a more aggressive tone, and the original muffler is said to accompany the sale.  The CARFAX report highlights services dating back as far as 2011 and the seller reports that all routine maintenance has been kept up to date through authorized Porsche dealers and qualified specialists.  The clutch is said to have been previously replaced and a major 60k-mile service was reportedly completed under the prior ownership.

This sale will include an outdoor car cover, the original muffler, a clean title, and a California Vehicle Transfer and Reassignment form. A generously equipped and nicely presented example, this 6-speed GTS may very well be the Porsche 997 you have been searching for.

    @Oregonian thank you! Very excited

  • Sylverlee (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Mpoweroo1 interesting. If you’ve done his before you prob know better than me, but I had the registration receipt, and pink slip in the sellers name. Just wasn’t in line with the computer systems. A

  • Oregonian (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Monika.K Congratulations, that is a very good price for this car. The future will be kind to 997 GTS owners.

  • Beckaircooled (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

As someone who has sold two cars here, I can tell you that P car market has made multiple phone calls between buyer and seller to conclude the sale and resolve any title question that may or may not exist. I found this site is good at making a fair deal for both parties. Something you would not know if you have not purchased or sold a car here. If you are fluent in the language of buying and selling cars in California you will understand what most likely happened here. It seems both parties have found a happy ending.

  • Mpoweroo1 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Sylverlee only way it gets resolved is the seller registers it in California or current place of residence. Once he receives title back in his name, he can then proceed with selling it and providing a proper title.

  • Mpoweroo1 2 years, 6 monthsago

@spy4pcar I am sad I only caught this today as I was out of the country on vacation. If anyone doubts my input, direct message me and I will put you in contact with my buddy.

  • spy4pcar 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Mpoweroo1 Looking at available info, what questions seller choose to answered and the timing of the previous purchase and now the sell…you might have something there. Interesting.

  • Sylverlee (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Well looks like the car cleared the reserve. So maybe someone can tell us how it gets resolved

  • spy4pcar 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Pump993 Agree. No link to Carfax, DME, and somehow cars here always seems to be stories and promises…I am new to this, so just some observations.

  • Pump993 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Pump993 should have added NOt, Why PACARMARKET does not require "

  • Pump993 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

I do not understand why PCARMARKET require a copy of the title before the car is listed. This is what BaT does.

  • Sylverlee (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

I recently bought a car here and title was still in previous owners name. Then we realized Hawaii doesn’t report changes. Not saying that’s what happened her, but AAA did say we could still get it sorted out

  • spy4pcar 2 years, 6 monthsago

There was also no updated Carfax showing CA title issue…so, that’s that…no DME…the car show lots of promises.

  • phowley (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@MrRdStr The fact that the seller has not weighed in during this is a concern.

  • Mpoweroo1 2 years, 6 monthsago

@MrRdStr to be clear, car was in excellent condition, PPI came back supper clean. Not trying to sabotage, just avoid frustration.

  • Monika.K 2 years, 6 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $84,000

  • MrRdStr (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

I always question the last minute comments.

    : sabotaged; past participle: sabotaged
    deliberately destroy, damage, or obstruct

  • Mpoweroo1 2 years, 6 monthsago

@MrRdStr no peanut gallery here. My buddy was out $2k (flight, uber, PPI) to only find out the title issue.

  • CJWRacing33 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

    oh great I love games

  • Warner 2 years, 6 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $83,000

  • MrRdStr (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Win the auction and then deal with it.

The problem with online auctions & the peanut gallery....

  • Mpoweroo1 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Warner absolutely and would not want anyone on here to go through to only find out their is not a title in current owners name.

  • Monika.K 2 years, 6 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $82,000

Unbelievable - title issue in the last minute?

  • Warner 2 years, 6 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $77,500

  • Warner (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Mpoweroo1 title jumping would be a problem.

  • Mpoweroo1 2 years, 6 monthsago

All bidders, make sure the Seller confirms he has the title in "his" name. This car was listed on another site and I had a close friend, fly out to purchase the car only to find out it was still titled in the previous owners name in Tennessee.

  • fan_f1 (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Announcing reserve is off someone is getting a greatcar today!

  • phowley (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@MrRdStr Agreed, 993S have done well especially with how many there are out there.
Any 997.2S and above should continue to go up given the production numbers like a GTS.

  • MrRdStr (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@ phowley - check out what 993 “S” variants have done lately...skyrocketing lately

    I’m a big believer 997 GTS’s will follow

  • phowley (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

    @MrRdStr How so?
Last gen of the 997 w manual but with less miles should do much better than a plain 993.

@marucus1 Thank you for your interest and message. I don't have any paint meter readings readily available. I can assure you the vehicle was NEVER in any accidents and as confirmed by CARFAX. The state title is from TN and my name is on it. I had it just pass CA smog ready for it's next owner too! Again, thanks for your interest and enjoy the auction!

  • marucus1 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

    Any paint meter readings?
Which state is the car title at?
Is the tilts under your name

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

If I win it it’ll have my special license plate, mywtho. I had that one on my 79 modified rx7.

@UpNorthMN OK, just home from traveling. I took three measurements for you. At each section of the front splitter there is 6.6" of clearance. I have images of all. Feel free to message me directly with how to get these images to you. Thanks for your interest and enjoy the auction!

  • fan_f1 (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Spyder34 I had a PPI and DME Rev Report at purchase in 2020. My PCA Tech Session independent Charlie's Foreign Car Service found no exceptions. For your peace of mind...I can let you and all bidders know now that this GTS will come with a clean DME report with no exceptions! Thanks for your interest. Enjoy the auction!

  • Spyder34 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

I think some of us are anxiously awaiting you posting the DME over-rev results. Can you post the results today as the auction ends tomorrow. Thanks.

  • fan_f1 (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@UpNorthMN Hi, thanks for your interest. I will measure the clearance for you and advise. The car was never tracked nor driven aggressively and a DME would confirm that. I don’t have one on me yet one was done, and a PPI, upon purchase that confirmed that. Performed at PCA SDA Tech Session independent Charlie’s Foreign Car Service. Thanks again. Enjoy the auction!

  • fan_f1 (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Pump993 Hello and thank you for your interest and question. YES, the car passes CA smog with the Sharkwerks on. I have a current (<3 weeks old) CA smog certificate for the winning bidder! Thanks again and enjoy the auction!

  • Pump993 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

    @fan_f1
Very nice car. Can the car pass smog test in California with Sharkwerks exhaust ?

  • dcsf 2 years, 6 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $50,000

  • UpNorthMN (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Have you supplied a current over-rev report? Sorry if I missed it. Could I ask you to measure the clearance in the front, from the ground to the splitter? My driveway is on a hill and I want to make sure it clears the beginning angle.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

With your comment at least we know you really babied your car. I just want to see it going thru the gears and hear the sound. Awesome car.

  • fan_f1 (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@luis.seneriz Hi, thank you for your interest! I do not have one nor have I ever recorded one. It is raining the past couple of days here (rare) so the GTS has not / will not leave my garage until it is clear out :)

  • fan_f1 (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Ajmiller81 Hello. I have NOT had a single day of track, autoX, time trial or any type of exhibition of speed on any tarmac! The GTS is just too nice!
*****I was traveling when I initially responded and hit '?' instead of '!' :)

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Could you please post driving video? Very interested in your car thanks, Luis in Texas.

  • fan_f1 (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@Ajmiller81 NOT a single day of any tarmac time ? It is just too nice ?

I am lucky enough to have this car in meteor grey. Although the specs are slight over the 911s the wider back track with rwd and extra few hundred rpms to redline make a massive difference imho. gltwa!

  • HelpMeHelpU 2 years, 6 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $44,997

  • Cody_fred (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Great example GLWS I’m sure it’s going to bring all the money for this spec

  • fan_f1 (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Hello folks! I’m happy to offer one of my all time favorite PORSCHE "analog" yet "modern" cars. I thought my 1993 RS America was my favorite Porsche until I drove the GTS... "a GT3 for the street" a la the GT3 'touring' spirit. This was a true bucket list car for me and hope it will be for you too! This car gets more attention on the street from those that "know". I’ll be here happy to assist in any way. Enjoy the auction!
