@Kevin8tor Sorry to have raised the DME at all. My intent was to suggest complete due diligence on the purchase of the car as I have done on the purchase of many Porsche 911 cars including a 997 Turbo. @sinciardi - The situation you describe is a quite a fantastic reach. PDK's might(?) be forced to over-rev - but you'd have to work pretty darn hard at it - sort of like you did to justify your DME request. P.S. I own an '11 Turbo S PDK Cabriolet w/ 47,000 miles of flawless operation.
This car is awesome & somebody is going to be very happy with it. Great colors & options - it's a one of one.

@sinciardi “just one man’s opinion” and musings on wildly unlikely scenarios that would have zero bearing on a car coming from people who will likely not bid seem to take up way too much room in the comment sections on otherwise delightful auction sites these days.

@lennon997 ....I have no direct experience in this but have read that it is possible to overrev a Tip or PDK. It is a series of circumstances, I'll admit, but if someone is driving the car in manual shift mode and driving down a steep enough grade, I believe gravity could cause the vehicle speed to increase and could overrev the engine. It is a series of in-place situations, but it could happen. For the cost to buy and then to maintain or correct any issues with these high-performance cars, I would have the over revs counters read just to be sure....then you could see how many 1 and 2 (possibly) over rev levels the engine has had and you also get the engine run time. Just one man's opinion.

@sinciardi this being such a low mile pdk - non manual transmission car we feel like it’s not necessary for a dme report , but can be done at your expense if needed , the tires are original tires correct ! The car is in as new condition really barely driven
