Up for auction is this 2011 Porsche 997.2 Turbo S Coupe finished in Carrara White over a Brown Natural Leather interior.  One of the quickest production cars on the road at the time of its debut, the Turbo S was the flagship of the 997 series and boasted a twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six engine capable of producing up to 530 HP.  This 2011 example commanded an original sticker price of over $169k with options including heated and ventilated seats, the ParkAssist System, painted front air intake grilles, clear taillights, and a center console in leather.  Showing a clean two-owner history on CARFAX, this nicely appointed Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with approximately 13k miles on the odometer.

This Turbo S is finished in nonmetallic Carrara White and the seller describes the paint to be in excellent condition aside from some scrapes underneath the front spoiler, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  This example features Exclusive clear taillights, optional painted front intake grilles, and yellow PCCB calipers tucked behind the factory 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels, which are currently dressed in Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires.

Inside, this Turbo S showcases a premium Brown Natural Leather interior with an Exclusive Sport-Look footrest and center console in leather.  Additional factory options include heated and ventilated 12-way power front seats, a PDK gear selector & handbrake lever in aluminum, an XM satellite radio receiver, and the ParkAssist System (rear).  An integrated front/rear radar detector system has been installed and is controlled by a module in the center console.  Some minor signs of wear are noted around the ignition and mirror adjustment knob, and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

This 997.2 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six engine that produces up to 530 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque.  By utilizing a revised intake system and more aggressive tuning, the Turbo S achieves an increase of 30 HP over the standard Turbo model.  A 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission sends power to all four wheels, allowing the Turbo S to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 2.9 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH.  Standard performance features include the Sport Chrono Package, Dynamic Engine Mounts, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB).  CARFAX shows maintenance to have been previously carried out by Porsche Dallas and the seller reports no outstanding service items at this time.

This sale will include the original owner's manuals and a clean title.  Now is your chance to own one of the most powerful and sought-after models of the 997 generation.  Do not let this beautifully configured and low-mileage Turbo S pass you by.

@digit3 I would consider it just getting a true cost of ownership to make an informed bid. Try not to get bogged down with other people’s comments.

@Mercyhealth PDK is the only available transmission on the 2011 Turbo S. Manual was available on the non S.

  • Mercyhealth (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@digit3 agree with you about the slicks. Maybe it goes over 100k. Certainly would if it had a 3rd pedal. Super low miles with hydraulic powered steering. 997.2 turbo is the absolute sweet spot at the top of the gen 6 911s Carrera types (not counting the GTs).

  • digit3 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Beauty of a car. I hope that it brings at least $100K as it should. Funny how folks get so bogged down in the little things like the underside of the spoiler and tire age. These things are expendable and replaced somewhat frequently with ownership. GLWS!

Why is there a separate control and antennae for the factory satellite radio? This seems perplexing.

  • prezauto1 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@MFStapler the controls in the center are for the aftermarket radar detection system. The module on the dashboard is for the satellite radio.

Marc - can you clarify the black boxes in the dash referred to in the exchange with Pump993? In pic 54/73 I see two card deck sized boxes in the storage space at the bottom of the center console: one on the left is clearly marked “Passport” but not sure what the one on the right is..? Can you clarify please? Also, wondering about the XM receiver which might be that box on the right but the description said it was factory installed hence the confusion. Thanks

    @Pump993 yes.

  • Pump993 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@prezauto1 Thank you for your prompt reply. Can the Satellite receiver be removed with the dashboard in tact ?

  • prezauto1 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Pump993 That piece on the dashboard is the receiver for the Satellite Radio. The window tint can easily be removed, it was just added on this year.

  • Pump993 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

    question to the seller
slide 30/73, of the dashboard shows a black box with wire going into the dashboard , Is this for a passport receiver ?, can it be removed ? and does it require major work ?.
I believe the tint is after market (except for the windshield), can the aftermarket tint be removed ?

Date codes on tires? Also could you post better pics of both door sills and the bottom of the front spoiler? Some underside views would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
