Making its debut as Porsche’s fastest production car ever at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the 997.2 Turbo S was offered as the flagship 911 featuring a 530 HP twin-turbocharged flat-six engine along with a 7-speed PDK transmission, the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels as standard. This 2011 example is finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a Black full leather interior and was optioned with painted Sport Seat backrests, Porsche crest-embossed headrests, a rear center console in leather, a three-spoke Sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, the ParkAssist System, a rear window wiper, and more. It was previously owned by the seller’s father, an avid Porsche enthusiast, and is reported to have been driven very sparingly. Showing approximately 53k miles on the odometer, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
The 997.2 Turbo features wider fenders than a contemporary Carrera as well as integrated side air intakes, larger front radiator grilles, a vented rear bumper, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. This Coupe is finished in Basalt Black Metallic with optional side strip model designations and rides on factory 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels in silver. Other equipment includes an optional rear window wiper, yellow ceramic brake calipers, dual exhaust outlets, LED taillights and daytime running lights, bi-xenon headlights, and an electric sunroof. The seller notes that the exterior remains in excellent overall condition and is preserved by a layer of clear paint protection film. Inside, this Turbo S features a Black leather interior including a pair of heated Sport Seats with painted backrests and Porsche-crested headrests. Other options include painted decorative trim on the gear selector, a rear center console in leather, a three-spoke PDK Sport steering wheel with shift paddles, the ParkAssist System, XM Radio, Universal Audio Interface, and a Bluetooth interface for mobile phones. The car also features an Alcantara headliner, automatic climate control, a dashboard-mounted Sport Chrono stopwatch, and a Bose sound system. The seller indicates a radar detector system has been installed.
A twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 530 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, which provides acceleration from 0-60 MPH in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of over 200 MPH. Standard equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with an automatic brake differential (ABD). There are no outstanding maintenance items are reported.
This sale will include an air pump, a car cover, a battery charger, and a clean title. The CARFAX report shows an insurance claim paid due to theft in 2022, however, the seller contests that this is an error on behalf of CARFAX and the vehicle was never stolen.

@Today looks like a very common "Fat Finger" mileage entry at the shop that did the service. You see this on a lot of Carfax's.. Its clear in the continuity of other entries.

@Today absolutely haven’t been flooded. It’s my fault I was washing the car and sprayed in the jam so some water got into that area. You can rest assure the car has never been in a flood.

@Landshark47 I see what you are referring to in pic #157. Looks like two triangular cuts on the inside of the wheel along with some scraping. Not too worried about the scraping but the notches would compromise the integrity of the wheel. If the price is right, it should not matter. Can swap out for something else and check the suspension.

Unfortunately No it’s still under review. I was emailed by carfax yesterday morning that’s it’s still under review. If you have access to view the carfax you will see the tittle was issued 5/12/2022 then on 5/13/2022 “insurance claim due to theft”, 6 days later 5/19/2022 it passed safety inspection and was registered. None of this would be possible if the theft report was accurate.

I have also contacted my local police department and they have also insured me in their system it doesn’t show up when running the plate and the vin number of any previous theft.

I have a question about the drivers front wheel. The very last wheel picture appears to show the inside of the disc has what looks like damage. Can you clarify this? Also the inside of the same wheel lip in the underside pictures shows damage. Can you also expand on that as well?
@dtdomination “insurance claim paid due to theft”. Carfax has emailed me this morning informing that it is still under review and they will update me as soon as they are finished with there investigation. If anyone knows a faster way to complete this task I am open for suggestions.

@delanodp the car was registered in Virginia you’re correct. The car was also briefly driven in the snow as it started snowing while I was out and immediately driven into a garage. So yes there was salt outside while doing so. Thank you for your inquiry.
Picture #153 is the most obvious but there are others. The car has Virginia plates but is being sold out of NY. If the car was stored in a 'garage' then was it driven in the salt?

A new video has been added showing that the PCM is now in proper working order.
I noticed the paint meter readings on the front of the car were higher than the other parts of the car. Is there paint protection film applied to this area? Thanks!
@Dodgersfanatic123 Hi good afternoon, the radio is currently being looked at by a technician. The radio hasn’t been able to turn on. I’m going to assume it’s a fuse. As far as the mileage and the “paid due to theft” error on the report, carfax has been contacted directly weeks ago and they have been reviewing this error to rectify it for me. The car was always in my possession even at the time of the paid due to theft reported date. This car was NEVER stolen or broken into. I’ve also contacted the local police department ensure that it doesn’t show that same error on there system and I’ve been informed there is no report of it ever being stolen.
What is the issue with the radio? Also there seems to be a mileage discrepancy on CarFax in addiction to the theft report. Thanks.
