Introduced in 2009, the updated Porsche 997.2 generation Carrera 4S received a unique reflector band connecting the taillights along with a new 3.8-liter engine featuring direct fuel injection and the option of a new Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. This 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe is finished in GT Silver Metallic over a Black interior with leather Sport Seats and features optional 19” Turbo wheels, Sport Chrono Package Plus, BOSE Surround Sound System, instrument dials in Carrara White, and a center console painted in the exterior color. It was originally sold in Reno, Nevada, at a sticker price of over $115k and changed hands between two owners in Idaho before being acquired by its seller from Porsche Bend Oregon in 2021. Showing approximately 32k miles on the odometer and benefitting from recent dealer service, this Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction out of Texas.

This 4S Coupe is finished in GT Silver Metallic and features optional Sport Tailpipes and custom removable stripes on the hood and roof as well as clear European-style side marker lights and a Porsche 991 front lip spoiler. Protective grille screens have also been installed along with a custom gas cap. It rides on factory-optioned 19” Turbo forged wheels dressed in Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position tires from 2018. Clear paint protection film is applied on the nose section and A-pillars. The seller indicates the driver’s front fender edge was refinished under prior ownership along with the passenger rear fender edge and the rear bumper cover. A few small stone chips are also noted on the hood and windshield, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage in 2021.

The cabin features Black leather Sport Seats and an optional three-spoke multifunction steering wheel complemented by Exclusive Carrara White instrument dials and a center console and gear selector painted in GT Silver Metallic. Other options include the Infotainment Package, BOSE Surround Sound System, an XM Satellite Radio receiver, a 6-disc CD/DVD changer, and Extended Navigation Module for PCM 3.0. The seller notes a pair of all-season Porsche floor mats have been added.

Up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque comes from a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine and is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Equipped with a launch control function as part of the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, the Carrera 4S can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4.3 seconds. The seller notes an aftermarket Sharkwerks center crossflow exhaust pipe has been installed and a major 30k-mile service was completed by Porsche Bend Oregon upon their purchase in July 2021 followed by a 10k-mile service at Porsche Austin in October 2021.  An oil change and multi-point inspection were completed most recently in July 2023 including new front hood struts.

This sale will include service records, the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a car cover, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: Thank you for considering my auction. I purchased this 997.2 C4S 23 months ago, from Porsche Bend Oregon. My wife and I flew to Bend and enjoyed a fantastic scenic road trip driving this Porsche back to our home in Texas. The Bend dealer had completed the 30,000-mile major service and the car was in pristine. I have 4 Porsches and have continuously owned a Porsche since 1978.”

Here's a noob question (from a Canadian recently moved to TX). If I were to purchase this vehicle and then register it to my name, for it to remain in TX (but in Harris County), am I paying taxes on the price I paid, or because it was already a TX registered vehicle, I'm only having to pay the registration fees? Thanks and GLWTA!!

@Kish1 - Even hard-core anti-automatic folks acknowledge that the PDK is amazing and highly durable technology (watch those videos). As a committed manual driver and owner of both 6-speed and PDK equipped Pcars, I grab the keys of the manual four out of five times. If I will see traffic, or we're on a GT adventure - the PDK usually gets the nod. If I want to go fast or revel in amazing engineering, its always PDK. Launch Control will make you chuckle every time. p.s. I love the stripes.

@Werrea spoiler is fully functional, automatically and manual. No issues.
Tires are within west limits and maintain consistent pressure. My plan, based on my average mileage , is to replace all four tires after 12-18 months. Repaired tire , by previous owner, imo is serviceable and does not need replacing prior to replacing all 4. I maintain reasonable speeds and do not participate in track functions.
Right rear tire with slight camber wear also does not need replacing until replacement of all 4. View service records with Porsche Austin dealer ( 10/19/21-25,980 miles ) I requested a 4-wheel alignment to address the camber wear. Tire is now wearing evenly.

Thank you seller. I sent message hoping to connect. Does the spoiler work with button and at speed? In review of inspection video it indicates tires recommended and the passenger rear has some camber wear. Can you provide additional detail. Thank you.

  • Kish1 (seller) 9 monthsago

@Werrea it was just serviced and inspected by Porsche Austin. See video I posted. It needed hood struts replaced. Which they did.
The car is in immaculate. As stated by Porsche tech. Obviously well cared for by meticulous owners.
Yes, PCM is fully functional, as is everything with this Porsche.

  • Werrea (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

Thanks for the quick response. Anything that you think it needs. Does the PCM work.

  • Kish1 (seller) 9 monthsago

    @Werrea I recommend watching a few YouTube
    Productions, PDK vs Manual.
PDK is definitely not just an automatic, and a different experience.

  • Kish1 (seller) 9 monthsago

@Werrea I discovered PDK with the purchase of this Porsche. I love it! I just purchased a GTS with PDK. I have been a Porsche enthusiast for over 40 years. A Porsche manual gearbox is one of the best. I have a manual 964, which I really enjoy. The big difference vs PDK, the later makes driving easier. Especially driving in traffic and hills…like stopped at a traffic light facing up hill…coordinating transition from holding brake, releasing clutch and applying throttle…without stalling.

  • Werrea (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

Love the car. I have not considered a PDK and have been only searching for a manual. How is the PDK to drive?

  • Kish1 (seller) 9 monthsago

@donspaulding The only part of the exhaust, which is not OEM, is the SharkWerks Center cross over pipes. You can view this system on several photos. All else…headers, cats, and final mufflers are OEM. Visit SharkWerks. Com and read up about the cross over system. Very beneficial.
    Sport Tailpipes,
I assume you are referring to Sport Exhaust. A Porsche option. Coogle Porsche Sport Exhaust.
    So are the exhaust tips.
There is NO Chip . All as delivered from Porsche factory.

  • donspaulding (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

Thanks for the photo and the stripes explanation.
"features optional Sport Tailpipes" Is this reference to the original exhaust system? Would this "System" be referenced
to the stock system or something special?
    Has the motor been modified/chipped?

  • Kish1 (seller) 9 monthsago

@donspaulding According to PPF tech who applied vinyl stripes 12 months ago, removal requires a proper procedure...using concentrared steam and heat gun. It is done slowly, and should take 2-3 hours. No residual image will be left on finish. Do check with a local shop that does PPF applications. to confirm.

  • Kish1 (seller) 9 monthsago

@donspaulding See photo 250 Back cargo area
    Inconsistent dark and silver...
I would attribute to photo reflections. No detectable repaint in this area.
Google FUYAO. Yes , this is not OEM windshield. Replaced by a prior owner.
    Ghosting when stripes removed
I can not assure quality of workmanship by others . A competent tech suggested. Area was prepped prior to stripe application.

@parnelljw As reported to me by Bend Oregon Porsche Dealer; Rear bumper repainted due to scratches and abrasions induced by owners large dog, while chasing an animal under the rear of the car.

  • parnelljw 9 months, 1 weekago

It looks like the damage occurred in TX (from Carfax) - do you know the extent of it?
