Now up for auction is this 2011 Porsche 997.2 Turbo S Coupe finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a Black full leather interior. The flagship model of the 997 generation, this Turbo S commanded an original sticker price over $167k with exclusive instrument dials in Guards Red and wheels painted in the exterior color. Under prior ownership, this Turbo S was brought to BBi Autosport of Huntington Beach for upgrades including Cobb tune, IPD intake plenum, AMS intercoolers, a custom 3” exhaust, Inconel exhaust manifolds, and pair of Xona Rotor internally gated turbochargers. The car also features upgraded OZ wheels, OEM GT2 side skirts, Sport Seats, a Blitz boost controller, a Passport 9500ci radar detector system, and a Bilstein PSS10 coilover suspension. Acquired from the original owner’s family in January of 2018, this Turbo S has been maintained by authorized Porsche dealers ever since and is now being offered for auction out of Arizona showing approximately 15k miles on the odometer.
This Turbo S comes finished in Basalt Black Metallic and is preserved under full STEK hydrophobic self-healing paint protection film. The seller notes the windows and full exterior have also received CeramicPro coating. OEM GT2 side skirts were added by the prior owner along with a set of black 19” OZ Racing Superforgiata wheels, which are currently dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The factory color-matched RS Spyder center-lock wheels will accompany the sale as well. Some minor blemishes are depicted in the gallery and a new front spoiler was recently fitted by Porsche Tucson.
Originally a two-tone interior, the cabin has been fitted with all-black OEM leather trim by the prior owner for a single-tone theme. Guards Red instrument dials were optioned from Porsche's Exclusive Department and a pair of OEM Porsche hardback sport bucket seats were also installed as well as a Blitz boost controller and Passport 9500ci radar/laser detector.
This 997.2 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six engine that drives all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. In stock configuration, the Turbo S can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in less than 3 seconds. The Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) are equipped as standard while upgrades installed by BBi Autosport include Xona Rotor 30-82 internally gated turbochargers with custom oil and water lines, custom Inconel V-band exhaust manifolds, a custom V-band 3” race exhaust, custom fender well intakes, AMS performance intercoolers and Y-pipe, an IPD intake plenum, and custom Cobb tune with Accessport. An upgraded Bilstein PSS10 coilover suspension was also equipped by an installer in Texas. The seller has driven approximately 2,500 miles during their ownership and has maintained the car annually through authorized Porsche dealers. Service carried out by Porsche of Tucson in January of 2021 includes an oil change, new spark plugs, air filters, and PDK service. A diagnostic report from December of 2021 is provided in the gallery and a pre-purchase inspection was completed by Porsche of Tucson within the last 100 miles.
This sale will include the original Basalt Black Metallic painted RS Spyder wheels, center-lock wheel adapter, a set of two keys, owner's manuals, a Cobb Accessport, a Porsche car cover, service records, the original window sticker, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.

@vchu828 Per my very first introductory comment, I don't know much about the tech of the car. Mitch McKee tuned it less than 1,000 miles ago but truth be told, I don't know how much boost it is running.
How much boost is it running?

@turboboostin I do not have those original parts. The changes were made to the car prior to my ownership and the original owner did not retain the parts that were replaced.

@CBRacerX There has never been a PASM warning light present. The only thing that is displayed upon startup is a message which relates to the non-electronic seats. It is simply cleared by pulling on the left stalk below the indicator stalk. I am told that there isn't a workaround but perhaps a more knowledgeable Porsche mechanic could figure out how to program it out. Thanks.
Bilstein PSS10 coilover suspension means that PASM is defeated. I assume no PASM warning light is present.
@Bricmont As to shipping, I have an excellent shipper that I have used several times for single car covered and insured transporting. Typically I figure about $1.25/mile and that would include the extra wheels. PCARMARKET also has several transport contacts so you could get a few bids. Thanks!

@Jsweetd The car is indeed killer! I think that the 997 generation is the best combination of newer technology yet still retains a bit of old school design and road feel. I am selling to fund the restoration of a long hood that I acquired last autumn. I also have two other older Porsches that need annual driving time so the newest one is on to the next lucky owner.

@jbl911 All of the bolt-on engine upgrades were done by BBi Autosport in Huntington Beach, CA. At the time, Mitch McKee who was working at Cobb did the initial tune and the PDK update. Mitch left Cobb in 2019 I believe and went to M Engineering. I had him fly out to MN and dyno tune the car. I forgot to include the dyno report in my listing. Will upload today. I do not know about fuel system upgrades but I think that BBi would have addressed everything when doing the engine out upgrades.
Beautiful car, I have some questions regarding the upgrades. Do you know which shop installed the turbo/intercooler, and custom cobb tune. Does it have fuel system upgrades, pdk upgrades? Any dyno sheets available?
@Sebring Sorry about the confusion! I have had the car in MN during the summer months where I obviously drove it sparingly well after the roads have been seasonally cleaned. The car has never seen rain under my ownership. I used covered transport to bring it down to Tucson where it currently resides.

@GLHatWFO The desert photos were shot up on Dove Mountain north of Tucson. Even a short drive from my house with a relatively spotless post-wash car I picked up dust all over the wheels! IIRC, the car is tuned for 92 octane. I have a few small bits and pieces but they previous owner did not retain the original parts that he replaced. The car is awesome as is but could be easily boosted (excuse the pun) in power with specialists like Sam Ahdoot, Deejay Markski, John Bray and others.
@digit3, the outdoor pics look like they were taken in or around Sajuaro National Park. Is the motor tuned for 93 octane? Other than the OEM wheels, no other removed stock parts are included? Your 997.2 is tuanis indeed!

Hey all,
Thanks for taking a look at my car. I will do my best to answer all of your upcoming questions promptly. I am an auto enthusiast but don't possess a ton of knowledge about all things related to the car. To answer a few possible questions up front: the car was purchased new in Austin, TX by the previous owner's mom. I bought it from her son hence the three total owners. The car has never been tracked. You can see from the PPI that I had done earlier this month that the PCCBs are in great shape. I have put very few miles on the car and all the upgrades were done by the last owner, mostly at BBi. Unfortunately, I did not get any receipts covering that work and BBi has since changed their software and lost all of their older customer data. I do NOT have the original seats. The car is a joy to drive but I obviously don't drive it much and am selling to focus on my older Porsches.
