 The 2009 model year introduced the updated Porsche 987.2 generation Boxster featuring a larger new engine with direct fuel injection and the option of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. This 2011 example comes finished in a tasteful combination of Cream White with a Cocoa soft top over Cocoa Special Leather. It also features a PDK transmission, 18” Cayman S II wheels, Bi-Xenon cornering headlights, BOSE Surround Sound, and more. This meticulously maintained Boxster is now being offered for auction by its seller and second owner out of New Mexico while showing approximately 39k miles on the odometer.

Compared to the original 987, the 987.2 Boxster received updated styling including new headlights and taillights, larger front air intakes with integrated daytime running lights, and twin rear diffusers flanking the center exhaust outlet. This example comes finished in Cream White with a Cocoa soft top and rides on optional 18” Cayman S II wheels with colored Porsche crests. Other features include front fog lights, optional Bi-Xenon corning headlights, side air inlets, and a rear speed-activated rear spoiler. Clear side markers have been applied along with paint protection film from the front end to the leading edge of the doors. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Cocoa Special Leather spanning the seats, dashboard, steering wheel, center console, gear selector, and door panels. Color-coordinated carpets line the floors, while deviated stitching and aluminum trim complete the interior. Other optional equipment includes the BOSE Surround Sound System and a wind deflector. The seller notes slight imperfections near the driver’s door handle and a small scuff on the passenger’s seat. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.

The naturally aspirated 2.9-liter flat-six sends as much as 252 HP and 214 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed PDK automatic transmission. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) is equipped as standard and stopping power is provided by fixed 4-piston ventilated discs. The seller notes normal maintenance has been performed throughout their ownership including oil changes every 3k-5k miles.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This is probably the finest Boxster you'll find anywhere!”

    @Spokayman @dfaulkner Thanks for the response. I was confused because I saw the second defrost button on pic 71 but couldn’t make out typical defrost lines in glass.

  • Spokayman (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @Kevinmr @Rollinitx2,
    It looks like the answers to your questions are:
    No.
    No.
    Glass.
    No.

    @dfaulkner reposting my question as I did not type your name correctly and want to make sure you see this.
    Does this car have heated seats? Heated steering wheel? Also, can you confirm if the top has a glass or plastic window? Does it have rear defrost? Thank you.

    The car's description does not mention that there is a set of four Porsche wheels, exactly like the ones on the car, with four tires. These are included with purchase.

    @dfaulkner it’s actually a good thing. Instead the 2.9L has “port injection” and is therefore not prone to carbon buildup in the intake manifold and on the backs of the valves, like is common with direct injection.

    @Van_Slyke That's news to me.

  • Van_Slyke (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    FYI - the description is incorrect, the 2.9L engine is not direct injection:

    “The displacement of the base model flat six was increased to 2.9 liters, good for 255 hp in the Boxster and 265 hp in the Cayman, but it was never given direct fuel injection.”

    @Pcar-slaughter13 First owner put in the badges. I assume they can be removed with no damage. Horsepower of the base model is 255; the S is 310. I think the S suspension is a bit firmer.

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @Jackspeed PFF was installed by the first owner. I don't know when.

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @keeks88 PDK fluid has been done. I have not changed the spark plugs.

  • Pcar-slaughter13 (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    Can the badges on the roll bars be removed without damaging the mesh?
    What was the horsepower differential between the base engine and the S?
    Assuming the S had an upgraded suspension or is it the same on the base?
    Beautiful car!

  • keeks88 (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    The cream white paint is a PTS color that is now standard but with an extra charge. The cocoa brown leather is also called Truffle Brown. It’s a dynamite color combination.

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @Kevinmr I'll look into it and let you know. I wish had the original window sticker.

  • Kevinmr (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    Thanks @dfaulkner for tire info. What are exact tire date codes?

    And can you confirm that there are absolutely NO options beyond the base model (w PDK)? It's not like the old days where you could look at the sticker under the hood, but you can do a VIN lookup and get the car's build when it left the factory. There have to be SOME options on this.

    Thanks.

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @groach I'm told they're standard Porsche colors but I've never seen them before. It's a popular combination.

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @fish2556 I'm not sure if I answered you but here goes if not: Plastic protective film on front of car back to leading edge of the doors accounts for the slight color diff.

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @formulamotorsports You are correct

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @Kevinmr 2018 actually

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @Kevinmr No factory options that I know of. No window sticker.

  • dfaulkner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @fish2556 color difference between doors and fenders is due to plastic protection film on front of the car back to doors

  • Kevinmr (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @seller Could you post the window sticker? Or list all factory options?

  • fish2556 (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @seller: Could you confirm the comment by @formulamotorsports, and/ or provide paint-meter readings? The colour-variance between the fenders and doors is quite pronounced in the photographs

  • formulamotorsports (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    More than likely, the front nose has PPF, thus the color variation. The same goes for the stone guards. It's a great looking car in the pics and a very rare color.

  • Kevinmr (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @seller Hard to tell, but to my eye date codes on tires are all 2017 - is that correct?

  • fish2556 (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    On the both sides in the photographs, (on a desktop) the front fenders appear to be a quite different shade than the doors. @Seller, can you comment?
    Can you provide paint meter readings comparing the front fenders to the doors?

  • groach (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

    Wow. Great colors!
