The second-generation Porsche Boxster was updated as the 987.2 version in the 2009 model year and included more powerful engines with direct fuel injection as well as a new 7-speed PDK transmission. This 2011 example is a Boxster S finished in Guards Red over a Black interior and equipped with a 3.4-liter flat-six engine producing 320 HP. It came from the factory equipped with optional heated seats, the Convenience Package, and the BOSE Surround Sound System. It has also been modified with a set of 19” OZ Racing Ultraleggera wheels. Benefitting from major services over the past year including new intake manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets, this Boxster S is now being offered for auction out of Texas with approximately 40k miles showing on the odometer.
Compared to the original 987 Boxster, the updated 987.2 version received new headlights and taillights, larger front air intakes with integrated daytime running lights, and twin rear diffusers flanking the central exhaust outlet. This Boxster S is finished in Guards Red with a black convertible top. It can be identified as an “S” model by its red brake calipers and dual exhaust tips. Other details include silver side air intakes, dual roll hoops, a speed-activated rear spoiler, front fog lights, a headlight cleaning system, and Bi-Xenon headlights which are included as part of the Convenience Package. The car rides on aftermarket 19” OZ Racing Ultraleggera wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller notes some chips and scratches are present in the paint and clear paint protection film has been applied to the front end along with tints for the windows. The CARFAX report shows an accident caused damage to the right side in 2015. Additional images are provided in the photo gallery.
The Black standard leather interior features optional heated seats and the Convenience Package which adds Porsche-crested headrests, automatic climate control, a wind deflector, and auto-dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor. Other options include a Universal Audio Interface, a Bluetooth phone interface, black carpet floor mats, and the BOSE Surround Sound System. Some creases are noted on the seats as well as signs of wear on the touchpoints and a broken latch on the cup holder cover.
A naturally aspirated and direct fuel-injected 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Service completed in 2023 includes replacements of the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, crankshaft position sensor, and air filter as well as an oil service and maintenance inspection. Additional service history is shown on the CARFAX report and the seller notes the transmission was not replaced in 2023 as incorrectly stated on the CARFAX.

@Ram3k we did not own the at the time it was involved in the accident as we acquired the car earlier in 2023 and the accident incident in 2015 according to the Carfax. The door is still the original door and there aren’t any nonfactory welds anywhere on the car.

It struggled two days ago on a competing auction site, but perhaps this is the better site for this kind of Porsche.
Welcome everyone and thank you checking out this low miles beautiful Boxster! Just wanted to get ahead of the curve here. The Carfax currently states that the transmission was replaced. That is a mistake by the mechanic when reporting to Carfax. The transmission was serviced but not replaced. We had a major service done to the car including cam shaft sensor, transmission fluid, transmission gasket, oil service, O2 sensors and spark plugs. We also just installed new tires all around!
