Debuted as the lightest sports car in Porsche’s model range, the original Boxster Spyder is a purist’s roadster featuring a driver-focused cockpit along with special lightweight wheels, aluminum doors, a lowered and stiffened suspension, manually operated soft top, and carbon fiber Sport Bucket Seats. This Basalt Black Metallic 2011 example was ordered with a Carrera Red Natural Leather and Alcantara interior along with the Sport Chrono Package and a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. This rare Boxster Spyder has been recently serviced through a Porsche dealer and is now being offered for auction out of Rhode Island showing approximately 16k miles on the odometer.
This Boxster was ordered in Basalt Black Metallic with contrasting silver side stripes. The doors of the Spyder are made from aluminum along with the distinctive double-hump rear deck which conceals the manually operated soft top. The Spyder also features unique LED light units in the lower front bumper as well as a fixed rear spoiler mounted on the deck and black mesh grilles for the side air intakes. The lightweight 19” Boxster Spyder wheels come dressed in a set of Bridgestone Potenza tires. Ceramic coating has been applied over the full exterior and the nose section has been preserved under clear paint protection film, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in premium Carrera Red Natural Leather with Alcantara covering the seat centers and door panels. Lightweight carbon fiber Sport Bucket Seats come standard on the Spyder along with lightweight RS-style fabric door pulls, a painted center console, and an exposed instrument cluster. The three-spoke Sport steering wheel has been customized with a flat bottom design, red leather grips, and carbon fiber trims including a red 12 o'clock marking. The Boxster Spyder features a 3.4L flat-six engine factory-tuned for an output of up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, an increase of 10 HP over the standard Boxster S. Equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package and 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission sending power to the rear wheels, the Spyder can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in approximately 4 seconds. Service was completed by Porsche of Warwick in December of 2021 and CARFAX shows a 20k-mile service completed by Porsche Louisville of Kentucky in 2019.

@Ram3k To my knowledge the only other non original part is the upgraded performance exhaust. The original exhaust is not included. The car is truly a nearly flawless example IMO.

The car is located in warren RI. Independent PPI are welcomed . Per PCM prior due diligence should be done before placing a bid.

@only1buck As far as I (as an owner of a 987.2 Boxster Spyder) am aware, this steering wheel was not available and is aftermarket (though well executed as it seems).

@starlightcoupe Thank you for the clarification. I recently sold my Cayman R and was under the assumption that they were the same. I now see that I was incorrect.
@THEITCH I do own a black Spyder as well and can tell you that the front spoiler and side intakes are original, every 987.2 Boxster Spyder has them.
I can confirm that the original Sport Exhaust would have silver end tipps. Mine has the option.
I now have noticed that the sport exhaust was not on the original build sheet but you do have the sport exhaust button which must have been added later. Any explanation would be helpful. Are the original parts available as part of the sale?

There appear to be some aftermarket parts on your car. The front splitter and spoiler, side air intake grills. Your exhaust tips appear to be black and I was under the impression that the factory sport exhaust tips were chrome. Would you mind explaining the history of these.
