The final evolution of the Porsche 997 and the ultimate road-going culmination of Porsche’s motorsports experience, the GT3 RS 4.0 was the most powerful naturally aspirated 911 ever made and limited to a run of 600 examples in total. This particular RS, #503/600, comes finished in Carrara White and optioned with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Front Axle Lift System, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Extended Carbon Package, and additional Alcantara trim. A true collector’s item with just over 200 miles showing on the odometer, this outstanding GT3 RS 4.0 is now being offered for auction by its seller on the East Coast.

The limited edition GT3 RS 4.0 is painted Carrara White as standard and features an aerodynamically optimized body with front dive planes, a more steeply angled rear wing, a carbon fiber hood and front fenders, aluminum doors, and lightweight Perspex rear windows. The unique graphics package includes silver and red stripes along the sides and the top with “RS 4.0” logos on each door. This example was factory equipped with optional clear taillights, an “RS 4.0” logo in red on the rear lid, and silver-painted 19” GT3 center-lock wheels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, the GT3 RS 4.0 features lightweight carbon fiber sports bucket seats trimmed in black leather and red Alcantara with “RS 4.0” logos on the headrests. Red Alcantara continues to the headliner, and the door panels are upholstered in black and red Alcantara with traditional red RS pull straps. The steering wheel and gear shift lever are also trimmed in Alcantara with red stitching. This example includes the optional Extended Carbon Package as well as air vents, belt outlet B-pillars, and a rear center console in carbon fiber. Other options include an aluminum footrest, sun visors in Alcantara, a storage bin lid in red Alcantara with the Porsche logo, auto-dimming mirrors, Sound Package Plus, Dynamic Cornering Lights, and PCM 3.0 with Extended Navigation.

The last of Porsche’s Mezger engines, the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six in the GT3 RS 4.0 features forged pistons, titanium connecting rods, and a crankshaft borrowed from the GT3 RSR race car. Up to 500 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox, allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3.5 seconds. Standard performance features include specialized gear ratios, a single-mass flywheel, a limited-slip differential, Dynamic Engine Mounts, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).

This sale will include the original owner's manuals and a clean title.

@Beandip83 Agreed, that said, it's a bit difficult to find a similar comp. Best of luck to seller. Just a little friendly banter.

  • Beandip83 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

At least take the time to proof read your post. Wild speculation on these online auctions rarely come from serious bidders detract from the organic process of serious inquiry and bidding. If you want an idea of what it will go for check the market and see what similar examples have sold for. In the end it’s where the seller and bidder meet.

    @mks0129 I sold mine with 2692 miles about 14 months ago for $675k I'm thinking +850K

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

    @mks0129 understood, thanks for clarifying

  • mks0129 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@EUROsellinc I'm familiar, I was polling the other users/bidders, not the seller. Good luck with the sale. Great car.

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@mks0129 this is a very special car as well as a rare opportunity. If you are asking this question I would politely request that you familiarize yourself with how this auction process works.

  • mks0129 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Does 850K take the care home?

  • stephenselzler (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

I cannot wait to see how this does. A spectacular specimen. GLWA!

  • Porscheman81 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

...the problem with the perfect car is, alas, its perfect...thus the extra value...had one with 293 miles...no enjoyment ...until i sold it and got one i could drive :-)...but it sure is a perfect piece to sit for another 20 years, perfectly...the best of all time, id vote that as well...but only if you can drive it :-).

  • bobmilleriii (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

In my humble opinion...absolutely THE single greatest road car Porsche has ever produced. It simply checks every single box: limited production, incredibly gorgeous, a ball to drive with the last of the driver-centric chassis, amazingly reliable, Metzger engine, and the final run of the breed! Who in their right mind could simply stare at this car for over 12 years??? Good luck for the next owner and, PLEASE, drive this amazing machine!

@edgy4sure that’s a very nice car. I brokered that car to its current home.

  • edgy4sure (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@js365 it was his own car - pastel orange

  • js365 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@edgy4sure which PTS was that? Few of the PTS cars he had sold in the past have recently sold again for some great $$$$$$. It’s great to see these cars are getting what they deserve.

amazing discipline you have keeping this "as new"!

I'd have had to kept it locked up somehow to resist.

beautiful example - I hope you get every dollar you deserve. I still ham dealing with self-loathing for not buying Graham Rahal's PTS 4L when oppty was there.....uuuugh

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Ghost correction I DO have the window sticker. Sorry my phone put don’t and I didn’t catch it. It has all of the original items that it came with from the dealer.

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Ghost yes original tires as this is truly a museum piece. There has been one oil change and unfortunately, I do not have the window sticker at this time. The car itself is “as-new “ the way it left the factory.

  • Ghost (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Hi, the tires seem to be original, so 13 years old, yes?

Has the car had any recent servicing? I can only see a service record from 2013, which is 10 years ago. Please share the service records if so.

It is a one owner vehicle, so I assuming it comes with the original window sticker, although I don't see that as part of the pictures. Please clarify if all the vehicle ancillaries are present and accounted for, thanks.

Dream car for me... not likely to make my bucket list for monetary reasons - but would love (prefer) one that's been driven well and not so immaculately perfect - I buy card to drive and experience. This one is a museum piece and car-show queen. *some day....*

  • MichaelGCypher (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

My dream car. Since I can’t buy it - I posted it on a local ATL Porsche GT Car Owners facebook group … maybe someone will buy it so I can look at it once in a while.
