Finished in Black over a matching full leather interior this 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet represents the flagship 911 in Porsche’s 997.2 model range, featuring the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), a 7-speed PDK transmission, and a 530 HP engine as standard equipment. It was configured at an original sticker price of over $174k including optional 19” 911 Turbo II wheels, heated and ventilated 12-way power seats, an aluminum footrest, and a heated multifunction steering wheel. It was acquired by the current owner in late 2022 and underwent a major service at Porsche Rocklin completed at a cost of over $13k. Showing approximately 53k miles on the odometer, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

This 997.2 is finished in Black with a matching cabriolet top. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, front fog lights, LED taillights and daytime running lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, integrated side air intakes, and a front chin spoiler. Yellow brake calipers are mounted behind optional 19” 911 Turbo II wheels that were dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires in September 2023. The seller notes the windows have been tinted, the front bumper cover was refinished under previous ownership, and some imperfections and paint chip touch-ups are visible on the exterior. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Turbo S features a Black full leather interior with optional heated and ventilated 12-way power front seats. Other accessories include driver seat memory settings, an optional heated three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, an optional aluminum footrest, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, “Turbo S” logo door sills, a Bose sound system, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation and Bluetooth. A fire extinguisher is held in a Rennline mount below the front passenger seat. The seller adds that the left rear quarter window regulator was replaced by Porsche Walnut Creek in January 2024.

A twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine provides up to 530 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission and a locking rear differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 3 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH.  A service completed at Porsche Rocklin in June 2023 included replacements of a turbocharger, drive belt, spark plugs, engine oil, transmission fluid, AWD controller oil, air filter, and a brake system flush.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, a battery charger, a cabin wind deflector, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This is a desirable Triple Black 997.2 with only 53k miles on the ODO!  It has a clean CARFAX report and the owner is a lifetime Porsche aficionado, purchasing this after a string of Concours quality 356s!  Acquired in late 2022, health issues have forced him to offer this car to its next caretaker. A diligent owner, they addressed any major needs on this car with literally a cost-no-object service from Porsche, including (all the items I listed earlier). This car is now ready for many years and miles of high-performance top-down cruising!”

    Hello everyone,

With 45 minutes left on the auction, we want to thank everyone for their interest and comments!

A few reminders if you are interested in bidding:

    * Make sure that your credit card is up to-date in the PCarMarket system

    * Refresh your browser, to ensure that you are seeing the auction in real-time

    * And most importantly, don’t wait until the last second to bid. As you know, PCar Market resets the clock after every bid, to ensure that there is no sniping. There's no advantage to waiting until the last moment. We’ve known too many people who have been disappointed because they tried to bid and their internet connection was too slow or the page wasn’t showing real time and they lost out on the car.

Simple solution, bid early and often! Good luck everyone.

Good morning everyone, it's our favorite day... Auction Day!

We want to thank everyone for their comments and most importantly, bids! As a reminder, this is a desirable Triple Black .2 with only 53k miles on the ODO. It has a clean CarFax and the owner is a lifetime Porsche aficionado, purchasing this after a string of concours quality 356s!

When he got it, he took it to Porsche Rocklin and had them go completely through the car to the tune of a $13k invoice. It received a new turbo, new drive belt, new spark plugs and every fluid was flushed and changed. Our client wanted a great driving solid car. Not a show queen, but an awesome high horsepower, well balanced convertible for use around their home in Napa Valley.

Unfortunately health has precluded the owner from driving the car much and reluctantly they have decided to offer it to it's next custodian. The car is ready to have a lot of fun miles added to it's life. Please use the contact seller button if you'd like to reach out to us directly. We'll see you around lunch time!

@ralex17 the paint presents quite well. It's not a show queen, this car has enjoyed it's probably rapid canyon carving 53k+ miles.

There is touch paint on a scratch on the back convertible hood portion of the car (pic in the gallery) and it has some small rock chips on the hood, fender and of course, on the rear fender guards that can be easily replaced.

  • ralex17 (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

How would you describe the paint condition on a scale of 1 to 10?

@BigTomSesto1962 Hello Tom, it's a dry chemical extinguisher. Not sure about age. Our client's purchased the mounting bracket attached to the passenger seat. It does show in the green under charge. I am posting some pictures from this morning.

  • GenauAutoWerks (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

@Schkoty I will be in front of it for about another 3 hours here in my shop. But then I will be mobile.

  • Schkoty (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

Is the car available to see in person?

  • BigTomSesto1962 (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

Welcome. Both L.A. and Austin would be great. You can track a cab with the top up, obviously, and without a roll cage. Is that freon or what type of fire extinguisher - not chemical powder? And I hate to ask when it was last checked?

Just love the look of these Turbo S's from above. Really harkens back to the 993 days, just posted a pic from our drone. Thank you @TomSesto for your bid!

@rbrunson @rbrunson, this is a private sale between buyer and seller, no sales tax required in AZ. The top is 100% sound, yes some discolorations, I think could be addressed by a good detailer using the right product.

  • GenauAutoWerks (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

@TeamSled we don't know the whole history, but we expect there was zero track time. Convertibles for many events need a rollcage to participate, certainly not by the current owner.

  • GenauAutoWerks (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

@Petekeller thank you for your bid!

Is the title held by current owner so this will be considered a private party sale? If so no sales tax will be required to register the car in AZ.
The top shows some discoloration/creases. I assume top does not need to be replaced. Please provide some comments on condition.
    Thanks,

  • TeamSled (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

Had it spent time at the track? If so, how much? Thanks

@TomSesto @TomSesto, thank you for your bid, yes reg is current. 100% will pass smog. Yes, this car could easily drive all the way to Florida!

Have a 2002 996 Turbo coupe. Looking for a cab. Don't need fast. Need super reliable - as Porsche is.
Car looks great. Will it pass a smog?
Understand that registration is current. Assume easily drivable from Concord to So Cal?

  • GenauAutoWerks (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

@BigTomSesto1962 Hello Tom, thanks for your bid! It lives in Napa Valley, but is currently at our workshop in Concord, CA which is where it will be shipped from. Current registration, it was last smogged on 12/19/22. It has the ceramic brakes, 19" Turbo II wheels, Sport Chrono Package, heated and ventilated seats and the tires were put on less than 500 miles ago. Our client had anything that looked even remotely like it needed to be addressed, done by Porsche Rocklin. It was his intention to keep this car for the long haul. But as we mentioned, his health has moved in a direction that he no longer can enjoy driving the car.

I does have some rock chips and a previous owner clearly used some touch up paint, which would look better if addressed by a professional detailer doing a full paint correction.

The car is fast and comfortable during our time with the car.

Good morning everyone, we hope you are having a great weekend. Here's a few more pictures for your perusing of this wonderful Turbo S!

  • GenauAutoWerks (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

@L_r_gonzalez, most of that is the lighting. Tough to shoot black cars without reflections. I've just uploaded another shot from outside. There are definitely some rock chips in the front, but most of the things you see on the inside shots are reflections.

    Thanks for reaching out!

Can you provide detail on the lower valance and hood. Are those stone chips/small nicks or is it the lighting?

Hello everyone and welcome to the auction of our 997.2 Turbo S Cab!

Our client has been a long time Porsche owner, but this was his first modern Porsche after many concours quality 356s. After he sold his last 356 he wanted something easy and modern to drive.

As mentioned in the listing our client purchased this car at the end of 2022 and sent it to Porsche Rocklin for a thorough going over. The subsequent bill totaled over $13k and included a new turbo amongst other parts detailed in the listing. The car is now in great shape and ready to be enjoyed this summer.

Our client has a health issue that is precluding him from enjoying this .2, so he has reluctantly put it up for auction. If we can answer any questions, please feel free to use the 'Contact Seller' button to reach out directly.

Tschuss, as the Germans would say!
