The Audi R8 was introduced in 2007, based on the Lamborghini Gallardo, and built over an aluminum monocoque spaceframe. This 2012 example was ordered in Daytona Grey Pearl over a black leather interior and selected with the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 mated to a 6-speed gated manual transmission. It was additionally optioned with Carbon Fiber Sigma interior inlays, Carbon Fiber Sigma side blades, a white instrument cluster, a perforated leather Sport steering wheel, and Titanium-finished 19” 5-arm double-spoke wheels. Showing approximately 29k miles on the odometer, this 6-speed Audi R8 is now being offered at auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
This R8 is finished in the premium color of Daytona Grey Pearl with optional Carbon Fiber Sigma side blades. Details include full LED headlights and taillights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, an R8-branded aluminum fuel cap, side air intakes, gray brake calipers with white R8 logos, a transparent engine cover, V10 fender badging, and dual polished exhaust tips. The front bumper, hood, fenders, rocker panels, and mirror caps have been preserved under clear paint protection film. The seller notes a small chip behind the driver’s side mirror on the window trim and scratches on the driver’s side door mirror arm. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The optional 19” Titanium-finished 5-arm double-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2017.
The interior is equipped with 10-way power-adjustable heated seats, matching door panels, and optional Carbon Fiber Sigma inlays. The driver is supplied with a three-spoke flat-bottomed multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel, a gated shifter, optional white instrument dials, and aluminum pedals. Amenities include a driver’s information display with a lap timer, automatic climate control, electronic cruise control, a 12-speaker 465-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a compass, a 7” display with navigation and a rearview camera, R8-branded door sills, a storage net behind the seats, and front and rear parking sensors.
This R8 is equipped with a 5.2-liter V10 derived from the Lamborghini Gallardo, which produces up to 525 HP and 391 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven by Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system and 6-speed manual transmission, allowing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 196 MPH. Performance features include a magnetic adaptive dampening suspension, 8-piston brake calipers in front and 4-pistons out back, and electronic stability control. The CARFAX report shows a consistent history of maintenance carried out by authorized Audi dealerships, and the seller reports the air conditioning system was serviced in May of 2021 with a new compressor and other components. A pre-delivery inspection was performed in June of 2022, and the seller notes a small scratch on the carbon fiber engine cover.
