Now available for auction is this 2012 Porsche 997.2 Turbo Cabriolet finished in Black over a black full leather interior. Unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the second-generation 997 Turbo models debuted larger and more powerful flat-six engines with direct fuel injection as well as the option of a lightning-quick 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. This 2012 example was sold new in California at a sticker price over $160k with options including Bi-Xenon headlights, the ParkAssist System, and Sport Chrono Package with Dynamic Engine Mounts. A lifelong West Coast car, this Turbo Cabriolet benefits from a recent service completed by an authorized Porsche dealer and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Utah with approximately 25k miles showing on the odometer.
This Turbo comes finished in nonmetallic Black with a matching black soft top and features a rear model designation delete, tinted taillights, and custom black powdercoated 19” Turbo II wheels. The exterior is described to have been very well kept with a layer of clear paint protection film applied over the full front end. The seller adds that the car has spent its life in warm, dry climates while never subjected to winter driving conditions, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The rear Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires were replaced in April of 2021 followed by a complete wheel alignment.
Inside, this Turbo features black full leather upholstery accented by silver trim. Optional features include Bi-Xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), the ParkAssist System (rear), and a PCM infotainment system with SiriusXM satellite radio tuner. A stopwatch dial is also mounted on the center dashboard as part of the Sport Chrono Package. An upgraded aluminum Rennline pedal set has been added and the original cabin wind deflector will accompany the sale.
This second-generation 997 Turbo is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.8L direct fuel-injected flat-six engine rated at 500 HP and 480 lb.-ft of torque. A 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission distributes power to all four wheels. The optional Sport Chrono Package includes Dynamic Engine Mounts as well as launch control and overboost functions. This allows the Turbo Cabriolet to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3 seconds. Service completed by Ken Garff Porsche of Salt Lake City in April of 2021 includes an oil change, new spark plugs, air filters, rear tires, a PDK transmission service, brake and differential fluid flush, new drive belts, and a four-wheel alignment. A corresponding invoice and multi-point inspection are provided in the gallery.

@TeamSled Great question, the service that was performed was 10-year recommended service advised by Porsche which includes new engine oil, transmission flush, new engine and trans filters, spark plugs, brake fluid change, front diff fluid change, new drive belt and at that time tires were replaced and an alignment performed as well. As an update, the little tiny chips on the driver side rear wheel we had refinished so the wheel looks perfect!
