Once occupying the top of Porsche’s model range, this 2012 Turbo S Coupe was configured at an original sticker price of over $170k.  It comes finished in Black with optional matching wheels over a Black leather interior with deviated stitching, crested headrests, and Speed Yellow seatbelts. The car was acquired by its second owner in 2015 who oversaw the application paint protection film, Girodisc brake rotors, and Hawk ceramic pads. Showing under 27k miles on the odometer, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.

This Coupe is finished in Black with optional clear taillights and rides on factory color-matched 19” 911 Turbo II wheels. New Michelin Pilot Sport tires have been mounted within the last 1k miles and XPEL paint protection was applied over the front end about 7 years ago. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Black full leather interior is optioned with deviated stitching in Speed Yellow along with matching seatbelts and 12-way Power Comfort Seats with Porsche crested headrests. Other options include front seat heating and ventilation, a Porsche logo embossed on the center console, and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.

A twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six engine sends up to 530 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is reached in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH.  The Turbo S comes standard with the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). The previous owner installed aftermarket Girdodisc brake rotors and Hawk ceramic pads, and the original brakes will accompany the sale as well. All routine maintenance is said to have been kept up to date and there are no outstanding service items at this time.

This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

    Though they are mostly tiny
,some of the chips penetrated the Expel. The mileage is 26,700 and the last oil change was about three weeks ago.

  • unagomadeborrar (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

@DennisTurboS Are there microscratches/swirls on the car paint that is seen in photo 41? For Photos 49-53, are these rock chips in the front through the PPF? What mileage / date for last oil change? Thanks!

  • DennisTurboS (seller) 1 year, 1 monthago

The Expel was put on the entire front clip. A you can see, the fenders look great. The marks and chip are where you would expect them.

  • skywalker27612 (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

I see a lot of blemishes on front. I see in the description xpel paint protection. Where was the film applied?

The original equipment ceramic brakes are included in the sale. I had them replaced by a local Porsche specialty performance shop. He measured and weighed them and concluded that they would be sufficient for street use, but, not for extensive track use. As I mentioned in a previous comment, I now have Girodisk rotors and Hawk ceramic pads. If a new buyer wants to do some Porsche Club events, they are new, safe, and substantially less expensive to maintain or replace. If a purist wants the original brakes they come with the car.

  • garrettonthego (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

Please clarify the ceramic brake part…. Records say they were replaced. Description says they were replaced with aftermarket ceramic. Yet original ceramic brakes are included in the sale…. Is it outfitted with original ceramic brakes from Porsche or were those burned through during track days ?

Beautiful car and let’s be perfectly clear for prospective bidders - this listing shows no evidence of paddle shifters. The multi-function steering wheel shown in the listing (original spec) has button shifters. Those who have experienced both understand the enormous difference. Lovely, fast and reliable car. GLWA.

@420Time ‘13 997.2 here. You use a cable and adaptor and the Aux mode on the PCM and it streams fine.

  • sfmonster23 (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

@DennisTurboS Thanks for the reply. I sent you a note using the "contact seller" function.

  • DennisTurboS (seller) 1 year, 1 monthago

This reply is for sfmonster23. I did about a half a dozen track days with my local Porsche club. As you know that is not racing. Each person drives at their own confidence level. Considering that I was 70 when I first put this car on the track it would be safe to assume you are not dealing with some squirrelly kid. I did not go through a set of brakes between 2015-2016. I recently put on Girodisk rotors with Hawk ceramic pad because the replacement cost of the original equipment brakes could be $30,000 which most people don't know. I have the original in boxes and they are functional for the absolute purist. The car has gotten regular service from the dealership where I bought the car. They were originally Mercedes/ Porsche agency. They sold the Porsche franchise but have keep theirPorsche mechanics. I have also used a performance shop 8 miles from my home. Throughout the pandemic the car was used very little, but I made a point of taking it out every couple of weeks to make sure it was running fine. It is garage kept with battery tender.

  • sfmonster23 (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

Has the car been tracked? It looks like it went through a set of brake pads in 9 months in 2015 -16. Also, it looks like the car was driven very little and not serviced from mid-2019 until last month. Is that the case? Thanks.

Sorry, y, I am old school. I have no idea how to stream music, but I can tell you it has Boise sound system.

  • 420Time (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

What a sweet ride, Black with yellow PCCBs looks ready to go. I’d only change the side amber lights to clear. How do you stream iPhone music on these?

  • gsxrjjordan (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

@VINCEZIMMER I have a 997.2 Turbo S as well, and the PDK is fantastic. Easy to drive, near-perfect automatic shifting that adjusts to your driving style, and the ability to shift yourself with the paddles whenever you feel it - in addition you get a clutch that lasts forever and launch control for repeatable 3sec 0-60 launches.
Haven’t found myself missing the 6mt ever.

  • DennisTurboS (seller) 1 year, 1 monthago

The PDK transmission is awesome. There are published articles that will tell you it will consistently out shift the driver under every situation, but if you want to do some shifting you have the paddles.

  • VINCEZIMMER (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

What do most owners think of the PDK 7-sp transmissions?

I am the owner of the car and would be glad to answer a ny questions you might have. As 767 Gallagher said in his comment. The Turbo S is an amazing sports car with tremendous power with added grip and safety of all wheel drive.
