Up for auction is this 2012 Porsche 991 Carrera S Cabriolet finished in Carrara White over a black interior. Marking the inaugural model year for the 991 generation, this Carrera S was configured at an original cost of over $113k and features a “911” rear model designation and a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission paired with a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine. It was purchased by the current owner in January of 2020 and is now being offered for auction out of Florida with just over 34k miles showing on the odometer.
This 991 is finished in nonmetallic Carrara White with a black cabriolet soft top. Clear paint protection film has been applied over the forward portion of the front end and an aftermarket carbon fiber spoiler lip has been added to the rear, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The 991 generation debuted a new cabriolet roof reinforced by three cast magnesium panels that span the full width of the top, providing increased rigidity, driver comfort, and security compared with other conventional soft tops. This example features an optional “911” rear model designation and electric folding side mirrors. It rides on aftermarket 20” wheels that come dressed in Pirelli P-Zero tires.
Inside the black interior, the driver is supplied with automatic dual-zone climate control and standard features including power-operated partial leather seats, a telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, gear/handbrake lever trim in leather, rain-sensing windshield wipers, door entry guards with model logos, and a PCM multimedia system with a 7” touchscreen display. The power cabriolet top can be retracted in as little as 13 seconds and is operable at speeds of up to 31 MPH.
Representing the last generation of the naturally aspirated Carrera model, this 991 Carrera S is equipped with a 3.8L flat-six engine that sends up to 400 HP and 325 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a rapid 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Car and Driver tested the Cabriolet model at a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 187 MPH. The Carrera S comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) including dynamic shock absorbers that can automatically adjust damping force based on current road conditions and driver preference. The 991 generation also debuted electric-assisted power steering that freed up power from the engine normally required to operate a hydraulic steering pump. This 2012 example is said to have been kept up to date on routine fluid and filter changes and there are no outstanding maintenance items reported at this time.
This sale will include one master key, the original owner's manuals, and a clean title (lien). A modern 911 Cabriolet with a naturally-aspirated flat-six engine, this Carrera S is ready to be driven and enjoyed by a new owner.

I have owned 911’s continuously for over 30 yrs…8 in all..an 87’ and 89’ coupe, an 89’ 930 Cab., 2-993 coupes, a 997 S cab pdk, a 993tt and now a 991 S Cab pdk. I wish I had never sold them. The 993tt and 991 I had at the same time for over a year. When I decided to sell one they were worth roughly the same. I kept the 991. Now I know full well that that was a poor decision from an investment standpoint. The decision was on which was the better car. The 991S accelerates faster, stops quicker, corners better, is much more comfortable, is quieter (when you stuff some foam rubber in the silly sound attenuator tube) and top is up. It gets better mpg, has better ac, stereo, legroom and ventilated seats. It is safer in a crash and the pdk is magic. It’s like wheels on luggage…..what took us so long!

very clean looking car! could you clarify the initial ownership listed on carfax? looks like it was a rental vehicle and used / sold in california, massachusetts and illinois, but only listed as one owner...
