The GR8 Subaru Impreza WRX STI made its debut at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show and was an upgrade over the already hot WRX. Featuring widened bodywork, aluminum suspension components, multi-mode electronic stability control, Subaru Intelligent Drive, and a multi-mode driver-controlled center differential, the WRX STI was the last to be offered in hatchback form for the U.S. market. This 2012 example comes finished in Satin White Pearl over a black leather and Alcantara interior. It came factory equipped with automatic climate control, gold 18” BBS wheels, roof crossbars, and front sport seats. Upgrades include an Invidia exhaust system, an AEM intake, and an HKS blow-off valve. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing just under 47k miles on the odometer.

For the 2011 model year, the STI received a minor update which included restyled front and rear bumpers. This five-door STI comes finished in Satin Pearl White and features flared fenders, a hood scoop, a rear spoiler, roof crossbars, clear taillight lenses, fog lights, HID headlights, and quad-exhaust outlets. Following the seller's acquisition, the car was professionally detailed, and the seller notes a minor crack on the front bumper. It rides on a set of gold-finished 18” factory-equipped BBS wheels which come dressed in a set of Falken Azenis tires bearing date codes from 2022. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features sport seats with black leather bolsters, Alcantara inserts, STi-embroidered headrests, and red stitching. The front seats are heated, and equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, aluminum pedals, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, and an automatically dimming rear view mirror with a Homelink universal garage door opener. The cabin is said to remain in excellent overall condition and the seller condoms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.

Power comes from an EJ257 2.5L flat-four-cylinder engine which has been upgraded with an Invidia exhaust system with a catted downpipe, an AEM intake, and an HKS blowoff valve. All four wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission, front and rear limited-slip differentials, and a driver-controlled center differential. Other STI-specific performance upgrades include a larger top-mounted intercooler, aluminum suspension components, as well as a more robust transmission, rear differential and other chassis reinforcements. The multi-mode DCCD enables the driver to switch between manual and automated center differential locking. The CARFAX includes 13 service history entries dating back to 2012, and the seller notes that the engine oil and transmission fluids were flushed and replaced with Motul synthetic fluids after their acquisition.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: "After a great deal of time searching I finally found the STI hatch (GRB) I was looking for. It had to be white with low miles and owned by a mature driver. It had to have all original paint and never been involved in an accident no matter how small. I also wanted it completely stock. This vehicle checked off all the boxes and upon arrival, it literally looked like it was a time capsule. This was my third STI. No expense was spared to make everything perfect. These cars are highly restricted from the factory with intake and exhaust, so I've added several upgrades. The car has no issues whatsoever, no oil leaks, and runs perfectly. The clutch is also in great shape with a very low pedal engagement. The car comes with all the factory booklets and manuals."

Less than 15 min to go. I have a reasonable reserve that doesn't even come close to covering how much I have invested in this mint STI. These cars in this condition do not come around often.

@95BlackZ28 Thank you sir. Trust me , the topic does come up frequently. Him and his friends enjoy the space too much for me to reclaim it. Maybe a bigger house/garage next time.

Hello everyone, coming to the decision to sell my STI was not easy. This car specifically was a special find for me. It's my 3rd STI and for me the best yet. For the past few years, my garage always had a 911 in it, but part of me still wanted another STI. Last summer I sold my 991 and began the hunt for a white 2011+ STI hatch, as I always believed this was the last, best looking variant.

After some time, this car came up in Colorado at a dealer who pretty much specializes in WRX's. The dealer had just purchased the car out of California, where it had lived it's life from new. They had it less than a month before I brought it back to California. The car had a PPI performed and it came back with a clean bill of health ( car was regularly maintained with its previous owners). I had the dealer perform a paint meter on the entire car and it came back consistent throughout the car (5-6m). I purchased the car and had PlyCar transport it in an enclosed trailer back to California. One note to keep in mind, I believe I am realistically the 3rd owner of the car, as Carfax counts loans, car note updates, some address changes and dealer acquisitions as ownership.

Upon arrival, I was blown away how perfect the car was, not only cosmetically but mechanically. The car was bone stock when it arrived. I took it to Renner Motorsport and had them replace all the fluids (even though the dealer had just performed a full fluid maintenance) with synthetic Motul oils (I check the oil at every fill up and have never needed to add a drop of oil). This included the engine, transmission and rear diff. I also had Renner install a new Invedia catted down pipe and Invedia quad exhaust, along with an AEM cold air intake (Carb legal) and HKS blow off valve. I then had the car trailered to Yimi Motorsport where the engine was professionally conservatively dyno tuned, by Southern California's most reputable and probably best tuner. My goal was to maximize reliability while recognizing modest performance gains with the hardware we just installed. The result was a silky smooth running motor that was no longer restricted by it's exhaust and intake. The Cobb Accessport that is married to this car will be part of the sale naturally. The sale of the car will also include the stock intake and down pipe.

Once the car was made mechanically perfect, it was taken to Protective Film Solutions where it received a level 3 paint and interior detail. The detailers could not believe how clean and perfect the car already was. At the same time I had the wheels refinished in the correct BBS gold and new Falken Azenis tires installed. The car also received a laser alignment.

Honestly, I spared no expense to bring this car to the next level, both cosmetically and mechanically. I have had zero issues with he car and it has been a real pleasure to own and drive. These really are special cars and it's sad Subaru has decided to end the STI .

    Thank you for looking..

Thanks for the info! You son is a lucky kid! The only way my child would get half of the garage is over my dead body hah!!

  • Gettheirfast999 (seller) 11 monthsago

@95BlackZ28 Thank you kindly @95BlackZ28 Unfortunately, I have room for one special toy at a time in my garage and I have a 718 Cayman already at the port waiting for its PDI. Though it's a 2 car garage, my 15 year old son has claimed half of it as his "man cave / gaming" section (see last pic). And, for me the car is too clean and special for me keep it outside, even here in Ca. I would prefer it go to someone who will enjoy and appreciate it for what it is.

I gave it considerable thought before listing the car. Out of the 3 STI's I have owned, this is by far my favorite. Not only by it's looks (I still look over my shoulder every time) , but what an amazing car it is to drive. The fun factor is a 10/10.

I absolutely love this car. I had a 2008 Alpine white with the gold BBS wheels and it was absolutely incredible car and had six differentials. It was just mind blowing to drive and I wish I had one now. Good luck with your auction I hope it goes to a great home.
