@Partyus has a good point. The only complaint I had about my ctsv wagon was the range. The gas tank is too small for its mpg.
Hi,
I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but just to ask, the original engine does not come with this, correct? I know if you buy straight from Hennessey you probably would not have that option, but bringing it in after purchase elsewhere, it would be an option.
This car is something else!
Thanks!

Jay Leno loves his CTSV.
I've had two coupes, the wagon is the best of all worlds. I'f I had gotten a wagon I would still have it I'm sure, My GT3 took it's place but anyone who gets this rocket will never regret it. The wagon is getting very hard to find. I wish I had more room!
I think the gas mileage question is relevant for a completely different reason than the haters think. It has to do with range. I had a Dinan stroker v10 in a 3 series Bmw. The 3 series had a 14 gallon tank. As soon as the indicator showed half of a tank I had to start looking for a gas station. I split time between homes 180 miles apart and couldn't get between them on a full tank, with zero traffic.

@82turboruf In regards to fuel economy: The stock 6.2 liter engine is approx. 800 cc less(or 50 cu. in) than the 427. Although, the stock engine is supercharged rather than turbocharged. A supercharger works all the time and spins depending on engine RPM. A turbo charger works on exhaust gases that vary with throttle input. It is possible with very light throttle that the turbo will not be "spooling up", thus not forcing additional fuel. So in theory (in some instances), the 427 may get better mileage??? That is why you see different aftermarket turbos and superchargers than what come stock. These aftermarket manufactures are changing the "gearing" of the additional fuel input at any given RPM and throttle input.
If you do an internet search for Hennessey CTS-V you can find a video from 2012 when one of Hennessey's builds did 220 MPH.
candice80- I'm just asking a simple question. Your opinion about performance and speed
is off point.......1100 hp claimed speaks for itself, lol
@82turboruf I owned a 2014 CTS-V wagon 556hsp and it got 12 miles to the gallon :) I think if you own a car like this gas miles don't matter...it is a gas guzzler. You want it for performance and speed.
@82turboruf Owner says he has just put fuel in the CTS-V when it needed it, and never measured fuel economy. He has only averaged about 700 miles a year, and he owns many other vehicles. These last several years with work, family, and other hobbies, he has barely driven it, thus time to sell.
@Dsgray16 - no it is a valid question IMHO
@82turboruf please tell me you are joking asking about about gas mileage lol
@82turboruf Rear Wheel Drive with Hydra-Matic 6L90 six-speed automatic with steering wheel-mounted shift controls. Hennessey upgraded the transmission to handle the additional horsepower and installed a high stall converter (see receipts).Unsure about fuel economy.
What does this get for gas mileage?
All wheel drive?
@Fu-Schnickens While the owner loves automobiles and horsepower, he is rather conservative when it comes to driving.. Although , he did blow by a McLaren at around 150mph on 580 highway after too much temptation. It is the ultimate “sleeper”.
Yes, I will need a smog certificate.
Bid in the amount of $40,000
@Partyus ..Yes , if a California buyer wants to place a current smog certificate as criteria for his bid being valid, it can be accomodated. Great question!
@ExoticCarSearch Any chance we could get a smoky burnout...er... driving video?
Can the seller provide a current CA smog certificate with the sale?
Yes.....Titled and registered in California since new.
Quote regarding emissions from inspection last week:
"There were no emission issues during the OB2 scan. All interior and electrical components function without issues. I noted the climate controls and stereo worked. The windows, locks, and mirrors worked. There was no smoke or odd odors. The door panels and interior trim looked good."
WOW........and is this rocket registered in California?
Please allow me a quick introduction. My name is Brian. I have been representing private sellers buying and selling exotic cars since 2004. Feel free to visit my website to learn more.
The owner purchased the Cadillac CTS-V in 2012, and had it transported to Hennessey in 2012 with approximately 600 miles on the odometer. Mileage is currently 6,287.
While the CTS-V is a little “out of my wheelhouse”, I was intrigued by the single ownership, Hennessey build, and the ultra-low mileage, as well as him being a referral from a client who I have performed many highline transactions.
Your potential purchase is direct from the owner, as I will facilitate the sale, and assist with transport if needed.
Thanks for looking!
