Making its debut in 2010, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG marked a significant milestone as the first production car developed entirely in-house by AMG. With an aluminum chassis and a long hood, allowing for the engine to be mounted behind the front axle, the SLS pays tribute to the legendary 300SL and offers unprecedented performance. This 2013 example is an SLS GT Roadster version finished in the optional shade of AMG Alubeam Silver over a Designo two-tone Classic Red and black leather interior and features staggered 19” and 20” wheels, carbon fiber interior trim, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and more. This one-owner SLS AMG GT Roadster is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio showing just over 500 miles on the odometer.
Finished in AMG Alubeam Silver, this GT Roadster features a black convertible soft top, red brake calipers, and staggered 19” front and 20” rear 10-spoke AMG wheels finished in matte black, wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT tires. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with washers, a vented hood and fenders, power-folding side mirrors, a speed-activated rear wing, Parktronic parking sensors, and dual trapezoidal exhaust tips integrated into the bumper. Inside, this SLS’s heated, and power-adjustable AMG sport seats are upholstered in Designo two-tone Classic Red and black Exclusive leather, extending to the lower dashboard, center console, and door panel inserts. A black leather and Dinamica flat-bottomed steering wheel features piano black trim, shift paddles, and a red 12 O’clock marking. Options include carbon fiber trim which covers the center instrument panel, an Airscarf system, a 1000-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system, AMG Performance Media, and an MP3 media interface. Additional equipment includes a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, a garage door opener, Keyless-Go, dual-zone automatic climate control, Blind Spot Assistant, and COMAND infotainment with navigation.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter M159 V8 engine, the SLS AMG GT Roadster sends up to 583 HP and 479 lb.-ft. of torque to its rear wheels by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifting capability as well as selectable modes, and a limited-slip differential. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achievable in less than 4 seconds and the SLS goes on to reach a top speed of 197 MPH. Additional performance equipment includes speed-sensitive power steering, an AMG Ride Control dynamic suspension system, a 3-stage ESP (Electronic Stability Program) with acceleration skid control, and selectable AMG Drive Unit driving modes. The CARFAX report lists service in April of 2023 by Mercedes-Benz of North Olmsted, as well as service history since new at Mercedes-Benz of Encino.
