Up for auction is this 2013 Porsche 991 Carrera 4S presented in Black over a Black interior.  Purchased by its current owner in 2017, this 991 has been upgraded with aftermarket Techart wheels, Fabspeed sport headers and a Cobb performance tune.  Also showcasing desirable factory options including Sport Exhaust, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Premium Package Plus and the Sport Chrono Package, this 2013 example featured an original window sticker totaling over $131k.  With all due maintenance carried out including a comprehensive 30k mile service, this Carrera 4S shows approximately 37k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction by its seller in Maryland.

The Black finish on this 991 is stated to be in excellent condition with 3M paint protective film applied over the front bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors.  Some minor imperfections can be seen in the clear bra as well as a very minor scratch along the driver’s side rear fender (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).  Removable Silver vinyl racing stripes have been added along with Black Fabspeed exhaust tips, clear side marker lenses, window tint and a Rennline front tow hook which make for a sportier and more aggressive overall appearance.  Aftermarket Techart wheels have also been equipped which come dressed in relatively new Hankook tires installed within the last 3k miles.

Inside, the Black interior remains in excellent condition with genuine Porsche rubber floormats installed.  A hardwired connection for a radar detector has been added and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.  The $131,045 build sheet included in the photo gallery also lists the following optional specifications:

  • Sport Exhaust System
  • Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
  • Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC)
  • Sport Chrono Package
  • Electric Sunroof
  • Navigation Module
  • Launch Vehicle
  • SportDesign Steering Wheel
  • Black Leather Front Seats
  • Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way)
  • BOSE® Audio Package
  • Premium Package Plus with Adaptive Sport Seats Plus
  • Wheel Spacers, 5 mm
  • Porsche Crest on Headrests

This Carrera 4S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8 L flat-six engine which is rated at 400 HP stock.  A 7-speed dual clutch PDK transmission distributes power to all four wheels while the optional Sport Chrono Package allows the driver to select between different performance settings.  The optional Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) system also adds the benefit of active roll stabilization.  This 991 has been upgraded with Fabspeed sport headers which, combined with the factory Sport Exhaust System, provide for an incredible sound.  A Cobb performance tune has been purchased, although the owner is currently running the car on its factory settings.  The Cobb tune can be easily reapplied through the use of the included handheld Cobb access port and mapping system.  All scheduled maintenance is reportedly up to date with a major 30k mile service performed at the time of the seller’s purchase in 2017.  The seller indicates this car to be in excellent driving condition while meeting New Jersey emissions standards.

This sale will include a set of 2 keys, the original books, service records, a Cobb access port and mapping system, a Porsche indoor car cover and a clean title.  With some tasteful modifications and exciting performance upgrades, this nicely presented 991 Carrera 4S makes an excellent choice for any Porsche enthusiast.

@Mrosilio You cannot over rev a PDK, period.
The management system will simply not allow it to happen.

  • Mrosilio (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@Sweith You're mostly correct, but from what I've been told it can still over rev from down shifting at high speeds or if you're nearing red line and start going down a steep hill.
Honestly just being cautious and asking because first year 991's are known to have more issues than the later years.

@Mrosilio et al - I thought these cars have built in over rev protection where they will briefly kill the throttle if sending the needle into the red, so I’m just curious how a DME report is helpful here. Thanks.

@Mrosilio Again...asking PCARMARKET to upload service records. Hopefully that happens soon

  • Mrosilio (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Would you be able to upload a photo of the date code on the tires?
    Thanks

  • bgoldie4 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@Mrosilio Yes...I received one when I obtained the car in '17. It showed there were like 2 revs into redline...and I probably have that report. Not sure I can get that done in the next few days due to a heavy work schedule but I never drove the car like that or rev'd the engine like that...in fact, I never even did the Launch Control.

  • Mrosilio (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@bgoldie4 DME is basically a rev report. It would show it the engine was over revved frequently. Pretty sure most shops can get it done quickly.
Will dm you now for records.

    Thanks

  • bgoldie4 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@Mrosilio Hi...the Cobb is currently off (as of last Saturday) because I have to have the car emissions inspected and I thought it needs to be removed. Turns out the station closest to me is closed for COVID...so, I left it off until after I 'm able to get that done. It's a 10 minute process to reinstall the protune. DME? Not sure what that means...and yes, I save all my service records. If you DM me, I can try and upload these to you.

  • Mrosilio (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Also curious about the cobb tune and why its no longer in use.
Would you also be able to provide a DME report as well and copy of recent service records?

    Thanks

@911pirate Thank you for your inquiry. I will attempt to get you pictures of the very small scratches...there is one on the front fender and I believe one on the rear...very hard to see in photos...very thin scratches. Will do my best. I installed the Cobb Protune mapping (Fabspeed write the program based upon some runs I sent them with the Accessport. I believe 0-60 times are just under 4.0 with the Protune and the Fabspeed Sport Headers. The car was NEVER tracked (as far as I am aware) and the tow hook was for aesthetics only. I have the cap with the tools. Unfortunately, I was not provided the original wheels when I acquired the vehicle. Hope that helps.

  • 911pirate (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Could you provide pics of scratches, especially the front fender? Also, will you please provide performance specifications to extent you are aware . was the Cobb system installed by current owner or previous owner's...any track time? Why the tow hook and do you have the cover for the hole? Are the original wheels available as part of the sale?
    Thank you

Alright folks...who’s going to start the bidding?

  • bgoldie4 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

And FYI...the auction states it meets New Jersey emissions. It should state “Maryland emissions”.

  • bgoldie4 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Hey folks. This is a great vehicle that has provided immense pleasure over the 3 years that I have owned it. Please feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to answer them timely. I look forward to your bids and know that someone is going to get a great vehicle!
