The 991-generation 911 marked a significant evolution from previous models, introducing a longer wheelbase, a heavily updated interior, and enhanced technology. Finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a Black leather interior, this 2013 Carrera was configured at an original MSRP exceeding $105k including a 7-speed PDK transmission, the Sport Chrono Package, 20” Carrera S wheels, Bi-Xenon headlights in Black including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), the Premium Plus Package, BOSE Audio Package, Power Steering Plus, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Colorado showing approximately 79k miles on the odometer.

Finished in Basalt Black Metallic, this 991 features optional Porsche color-crested 20” Carrera S wheels painted in semi-gloss Platinum wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires. Other options include Bi-Xenon headlights in Black including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). Standard equipment includes fog lights, LED taillights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual stainless-steel exhaust outlets. The seller notes paint protection film has been applied to the front panels, as well as a bubbling paint chip near the driver’s window and a filled chip in the windshield. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features Black leather upholstery and 14-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated seats are equipped as part of the Premium Package Plus, which also includes ParkAssist (front & rear), the BOSE Audio Package, and Porsche Entry & Drive. Additional options include a glass sunroof, a SportDesign steering wheel, Porsche-crested headrests, and the Sport Chrono Package which adds a stopwatch mounted on top of the dashboard. Other equipment includes Porsche-lettered floor mats, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and PCM with navigation. The seller notes that a radar detector has been hard-wired into the car and states that all gauges, electronics, and accessories are in working order with no warning lights present.

Powered by a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine, the 991 Carrera sends up to 345 HP and 288 lb.-ft of torque to its rear wheels by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH can be achieved in as little as 4.4 seconds. The seller reports maintenance to include replacement of the spark plugs in December of 2021, a new battery and hood struts in June of 2023, brake pads and sensors in July of 2023, an oil change in April of 2024, and a new heat shield fitted in May of 2024.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “I have owned this car for 2 years. When purchasing, I picked the car up in Utah and drove it home to Denver. This car is ready to go and a blast to drive! The car is mechanically solid, and it has treated me too well. I will not have room in my garage come the middle of summer. I would have no issue driving this car across the country, and the car is ready for the road.”

@Dporte13, Thankfully I don't need to sell it. Unless we can get close on the Deal Tank price, I'm planning on enjoying the car for the next couple months then putting it away in storage for a while. Possibly turning it into a frame off Baja Build with a shop I know pretty well.

  • Dporte13 (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

Probably just the fact it was bought in 2022 at peak market and seller doesn't want to lose that much money. Unfortunately the market has spoken here and on BaT that this is in the mid 40s. Hopefully the owner doesn't have a need to sell it and can just enjoy it for a while longer.

  • thindart1990 (seller) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

@KingJamesSucks, I just added images of the date codes from the tires to the gallery.

Images #65 & 66 show the rear tread

Images #67 & 68 show the tread on the front tires.

If you need more pictures of tread depth, let me know.

Tires were put on at 75,775 miles in April 2023, last year. So approx 4k miles on them.

For what it’s worth, I went with the Bridgestone Potenza Sport because the service tech who spent 20 years at Porsche recommended them. They ride very quiet and have great traction. I like them much better than the P Zeros that were on it previously.

Invoice for the service should be included in the image gallery as well.

@Bidders, I’m here to answer any more questions, post more pictures, or take more videos of the car today.

This car has treated me very well the last 2 years, and is in great shape, mechanically and on the surface. If I had room for the vehicle come July, I would not be selling.

Bid in confidence and the next owner will be a lucky one! If the winner is within 500 miles of Denver and near an airport, I would be happy to personally drive the car to them for delivery. That is assuming they don’t mind an additional 500 miles on the ODO.

Again, here to respond to any comments or questions, and good luck bidding!

  • thindart1990 (seller) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

@Hazemgiballi, that’s the truth! I didn’t buy the car to have it sit in the garage. I wish I was able to put 10x the miles I put on it over the last 2 years. It’s a great driver.

Let me know if you have any other questions before the auction ends!

  • Hazemgiballi (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

I don’t mean that in a disparaging way, it’s actually a relief to be able to drive without guilt or constant worry :). That’s what these cars were made for

  • Hazemgiballi (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

With the bubbles I’m going to assume the paint is chipped under the ppf. It’s ok it has 80k miles I’m not expecting a collector car! It’s a driver baby!

Pretty certain the car is well protected underneath the PPF. The walk around video shows the PPF up close in good sunlight. Bumping the video below.

If you’re in Colorado I’d be happy to meet up pretty much anywhere on the front range with you for an in person look.

Are we certain the front end rock chips and scrapes aren’t behind the PPF?

**Correction: BEHIND, not below the drivers side window. Above the quarter panel.

  • thindart1990 (seller) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

I just added a slightly panned out image (#179 in the gallery). Also picture 61 shows the bubbled spot below the drivers side window, to give perspective on size. I believe when I measured the chip is about 1/8” x 1/4”.

The car spent a good amount of its time in Texas and I think the Texas heat is what caused the bubbling.

2nd owner averaged around 22k miles per year under their ownership so I’d say it was a daily under the 2nd ownership. For me and the previous owner the car was driven for pleasure. I’ve put on approx 7k miles in 2 years of ownership.

I’m here to answer any other questions I can!

Thanks for the bid and good luck!

Just missed the 2016 black edition with 40k miles here on pcar for $49K so I’ll try on this one. Some more miles don’t scare me especially at a lower price, so let’s do this.

Seller- any idea what caused the bubbling? Is it in one area or two? Can you upload a zoomed out photo so I can distinguish where on tbd body the bubbles / chips are?

Any chance this was from corrosion being in Colorado and with miles that suggest potential daily usage?

    Thanks!

@jvanburen, I just added photo 178 which shows a closer up picture on the left rear side of the bumper. There’s no imperfections.

Also the car did spend a good amount of time in Texas prior to Utah and now Colorado which could explain the left quarter panel bubbling from the heat.

@jvanburen, there has been no previous paint work done on the vehicle. I may be able to get readings on a paint meter to verify this.

Regarding photo 32, no, the bumper has never been repaired. That is camera / reflection distortion. Photo 168 starts the carfax report, and you can see the full report in the image gallery, for reference.

  • jvanburen (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 1 dayago

Has there been any previous paint work on the car? Might explain the left quarter panel bubbling. Also in photo 32 it looks like there is some distortion in the bumper cover behind the left rear wheel. Wondering if that corner of the car has been repaired.

  • thindart1990 (seller) 3 weeks, 2 daysago

There should be a walk around video and highway driving video uploaded in the next day or two.

Beautiful. Looks like a nice example of a well loved Porsche.

Hi Everyone, welcome to my 2013 Porsche 911 Carrerra auction. First, I'd like to say I'm here to answer any questions you have about the car, and also share additional videos and pictures as requested.

This car is my first 911 and has been great to own for the past 2 years and is very mechanically sound. I drive the car whenever I get a chance here in the Denver area. It's going to be tough to let go of, but I have a replacement coming in July and won't have room in the garage for it anymore, unfortunately.

Car is wrapped with a full front PPF which includes the rock guard protectors, mirrors, and full hood wrap.

Service over the last 2 years includes:

    • Spark Plugs & Air Filter - December 2021 at around 71k miles
    • Bridgestone Potenza Sport Tires - March 2023
    • Alignment - March 2023
    • Oil Change - March 2023
    • Hood Struts - March 2023
    • Battery - June 2023
    • Brake Pads - July 2023
    • Brake Pad Sensors - July 2023
    • Oil Change - April 2024
    • 3 Open Recalls Serviced - March 2024 / April 2024

There is a hard wired radar detector installed in the vehicle which could be kept or removed under new ownership, but that is the only modification this car has inside and out. Please let me know what questions you guys have while bidding, and I'll be around to answer them.
