We are pleased to present this 2013 Porsche 997.2 Turbo Coupe finished in Carrara White over a black full leather interior.  One of the few examples built for the final model year of the 997, this 2013 Turbo boasted an original sticker price of over $150k and came optioned with Adaptive Sport Seats, a SportDesign steering wheel, 7-speed PDK transmission, the ParkAssist System, and the Sport Chrono Package with Dynamic Engine Mounts.  It has also been treated to a host of high-end upgrades including a Hydra Motorworks Stage 2 performance tune, Kline Innovation exhaust system, Eibach lowering springs, and a custom sound system. Acquired by the current owner in November of 2020 from a dealer in Florida, this Turbo shows just under 52k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction out of Virginia.

This Turbo comes finished in nonmetallic Carrara White and features custom black exhaust tips and protective screens over the front grilles.  A ceramic coating has been recently applied to the full exterior and the seller notes a few minor rock chips on the front end, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  Eibach lowering springs and H&R wheel spacers provide an aggressive stance to complement the factory 19” Turbo II wheels which have been powder coated black. These wheels are said to have been dressed in a set of brand new Falken tires in July of 2021.

The cabin of this Turbo comes trimmed in black full leather and features Adaptive Sport Seats with driver position memory as well as an optional SportDesign steering wheel.  Other factory features include the ParkAssist System (rear) and Bi-Xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).  The seller reports moderate signs of wear including light scuffs on the door sills, some scratches on the center console and seat backs, and wear on the floor mats. A removable 20% window tint has been installed, and a custom sound system has been integrated including a JL Audio amplifier and Pioneer 4500NEX head unit with Bluetooth, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an integrated backup camera.  The hydraulic rear spoiler has also been upgraded with an eRam electric conversion kit.

The second-generation 997 Turbo debuted a larger 3.8L flat-six engine featuring direct fuel injection and twin variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbochargers. Power is sent to all four wheels by way of a lightning-quick dual-clutch PDK transmission. This example comes equipped with a switchable Hydra Motorworks Stage 2 ECU tune which is said to provide an output of up to 605 HP, a dyno readout is provided in the gallery. Other upgrades include a Kline Innovation exhaust system with 200-cell catalytic converters, a BMC high flow air filter, and a set of cat-bypass pipes which are currently uninstalled. The CARFAX report shows services dating as far back as 2013, and the seller notes recent maintenance items completed in 2021 to include a PDK service, new front sway bar end links, new tires, new rear brake pads and rotors, and an oil and filter change.

This sale will include a set of two keys, owner's manuals, a pair of cat-bypass pipes, a handheld tuner, and a clean title. Now is your chance to get behind the wheel of a rare 2013 Turbo with tasteful upgrades and desirable factory options, do not miss out.

@Cuzzin_Olaf That's a fair and appropriate question. I'm a lifelong Porsche fanatic, and owning a Turbo has been my dream. But I am also a Christ follower, husband, and father of 3 teenagers. Simply put, it's the wrong time for me to own this car and the right time to sell it. Even though it really hurts.

  • Cuzzin_Olaf (registered bidder) 2 years, 8 monthsago

Hopefully you can answer this quickly. Why are you selling it after less than a year of ownership?

@Sprockets Hi there. PPI was performed 11/20. I did not ask for a compression/leak down test but I did request the PDK service as a condition of purchase, which was agreed. When I got the car I took it to my local Porsche experts LMN Motorsports for a visual inspection and test drive for my own piece of mind. I specifically asked them to closely inspect the PDK and check fluid, all of which checked out. They found no issues of concern in their inspection.

I have driven the car daily with no code trips but a P0455 evap code, which I had the purge canister valve replaced and resolved the fault.

I do not have the original PCM as it was replaced by the previous owner. I have the cat bypass pipes (see photo of manuals/keys/etc.) that were installed on the car when I purchased. I had to install 200cell cats to pass inspection in my lovely state.

Great looking 997! When was the PPI done? Did it include a compression or leak down test? Also, what was the service that was performed on the PDK? Also, do you have any of the original sound system, or exhaust and air intake items that were removed for the modifications?

The exhaust note of this car under normal driving is classic, pleasant and unobtrusive - I often prefer it to music, no lie. But the Kline exhaust during acceleration is amazing, guttural - like my stock Carrera but deeper. Pair that with the center display of turbo boost and it is just mesmerizing!

  • Supakev (seller) 2 years, 8 monthsago

There were some items I found that the PPI did not, which I have addressed: - center display of instrument cluster inoperable (fixed) - speed activated rear air dam malfunction, due to failure of hydraulic actuators. I replaced it with a Rennkit eRam electric actuator which is awesome. I upgraded the actuation speed from 12 seconds (same as stock) to 3 seconds. I also installed 3" bushings which are about 1" higher than stock. It is a very subtle but beautiful upgrade IMO. - The Pioneer system was not operating properly, so I replaced it with a new unit of the exact same model. The Porsche stock PCM on both of my 911s always seems behind the times, but this Pioneer unit is fantastic with every possible means for playing music - stream, CD, SD card - and plays exceptionally well through JBL amp and the stock Bose speakers. - the Pioneer system also has an integrated backup camera that works together with the existing Park Assist function. - The vehicle had cat bypass pipes which will not pass inspection in my state of Virginia, so I had Kline 200-cell cats installed to match the performance exhaust. I also installed BMC high flow air filter and now my exhaust is considerably cleaner. No perceptible loss of HP or torque. I hope that helps.

Hi folks - thanks for your bids thus far. FYI prior to my purchase I had a PPI performed on the car, which I still have in my files. The inspector recorded the paint readings, five readings on each of the panels. The only reading indicating any body work is on the left rear quarter panel, and a barely detectable amount of overspray on the front bumper at the bottom where the bumper guard meets the bumper itself. I have done no bodywork except I wash her regularly and this summer I clay barred the entire and applied two coats of ceramic protectant.

@driving_impaired I find the 997 cabin to be roomier than the 991. I'm 6'2" and like having the legroom. And the seats are infinitely adjustable - seat, seatback, lumbar, even the upper/lower bolsters - so it is a very comfortable cockpit with access to all controls.

  • Supakev (seller) 2 years, 8 monthsago

@driving_impaired You're exactly right. When Porsche introduces a vehicle redesign like the 991 they put out the base and "S" models in the first year, then roll out the higher trim packages in the following year(s). So yes, this car is truly among the last and best of the 997s! If Porsche history holds true, the last year of this current design will become more desirable/collectible over time.

  • driving_impaired 2 years, 8 monthsago

I know 997 and 991 both shared 2012 for their model years but I've never seen a 2013 997, very cool because there can't have been many!

  • Supakev (seller) 2 years, 8 monthsago

Thanks Cuzzin_Olaf. What I love about this car and my other one is that I can drive them normally like a reliable daily driver with all the interior bells and whistles. But when it's time to spice things up she is always ready with the speed, torque, cornering and stability I hope for. Same at 35mph or 135mph!

  • Cuzzin_Olaf (registered bidder) 2 years, 8 monthsago

Beautiful car!!! Exact spec I'd like with some tasteful modifications. I'll be watching this for sure. GLWS!!

  • Supakev (seller) 2 years, 8 monthsago

Welcome to my auction! Thanks for checking out my car - photos capture how beautiful this car is but I wish you could hear the turbo winding up, the exhaust growling, see the turbo display registering psi and feel your body press back into the seat when the pedal is down! I'm here to answer any questions you have while the auction is live. Good luck bidding!
