A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 315 HP and 266 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller indicates the car has been serviced annually and all maintenance records are available dating back to the original purchase.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.

What a curious way to run an auction, insulting bidders and emphasizing that both owners of this car are / were "well-healed". I guess I should leave my PCA Region; I have it on good authority that several of our Regional Board members are actually blue collar working types who view their Porsches as engineering marvels and terrific daily drivers, not status symbols.
I was going to bid aggressively but I probably need to show evidence of belonging to the Social Register. Plus, as a bidder on the "other" auction sites and a frequent visitor to PCA Mart, I likely wouldn't get approved by the seller anyway. Guess I will just keep shopping with the "trailer trash". SMH

I’d concur with the Michelin PS4s but also suggest Continental Extreme Contact or the OEM Pirelli P Zeros. In that order.

Since how high I bid is determined by what work needs to be done on the car, what does everyone recommend for brand/model tires to replace the 10 year old tires? How much will a set cost?

I have a 2013 Boxster S myself...Guards Red over a Natural Carrera Red interior. I have owned 10 Porsches and it is undoubtedly one of the best cars I have ever owned. These cars have no faults. I would buy this car myself, but Wifey would leave me...she has put her foot down. These cars are phenomenal! Bid with confidence!

Again, please keep in mind, the car has been kept in a climate controlled environment its entire life. Both owners know each other, both are Porsche enthusiasts, the current owner helped spec the car for the origianl owner, both are well healed.....its been well looked after :) I'll add better door panel photos tomorrow. @TX_Saint , always good to ask for but as far as I have been looking and hoping to get one (too long :) the door panel issues are with the standard trim (true maybe not 100% of the time) this one has the full leather interior.
Hello. A common problem on the 981 generation of Boxsters is the inside door panels separating from the door. Can you provide photos of the end of the door panels to check on their condition?

@BK_Skol yes, tow hook compatable, I do have the plug and the original license plate bracket. Also porsche tech car cover and bra.
@porscheklaus maybe just a strategy to scare bidders away and get a lower price, but seems we have some characters watching this beautiful Boxster. Question on the front license plate bracket. Is that bracket one of the ones that attach to the tow hook mount? And if so, do you still have the plug?

My OCD is kicking in and the statement you made above about 2013 being the last year for the 3.4 flat 6 is not technically correct. 2016 was the last year of this 981 generation with the sixes.
Probably you meant last “generation” with the 3.4 six.

I'm no "expert" but I would not drive in any spirited fashion on 10 year old tires. A trip to get Ice Cream on a sunny evening I'm sure they will be fine. But not driving one of these in a more spirited fashion seems like such a waste. They are NOT the stereotypical "hairdressers" car and deserve to be driven and pushed. I'm sure everything will operate as it should its a very fine example.

Tire DOT Date Codes are 1013. They are original to the car. The car has been kept in a climate controlled enviorment its entire life. Yes, the tires have some age and some "experts" might suggest they be thrown out. I have no concerns personally about driving the car. If I were to track the car however, different story. It is also nice that the car has been kept completly original. Thanks for the comment.... it is a stunning car....

I was fortunate enough to have attended the launch of the New Boxster in the Cananry Islands in 2012. First of all, Porsche puts on one hell of a launch ! More importantly THIS car has stolen my heart the moment I had the chance to drive one, it does everything exceedingly well, everything. Not lauding myself, I raced sportscars for nearly 30 years, taught high performance driving skills for the better part of 20. I'm a 911 guy at heart and will always love the aircooled cars best, but, this is a GREAT car, a truly fun car and it is in absolutely "as new" condition. No disappointments. Fly in, drive her home, anywhere, right now. I'm minutes from the airport. Happy bidding.
