Available for auction is this 2013 Porsche Cayenne Diesel finished in Umber Metallic over a Luxor Beige interior. Versatile and efficient, the Cayenne Diesel provides abundant torque from its turbocharged V6 engine and a towing capacity of over 7,700 lbs. This 2013 example was ordered with optional Power Steering Plus as well as a heated multifunction steering wheel, Porsche Entry & Drive, 18” Cayenne S III wheels, the Bose Audio Package, and Premium Package Plus. Cared for by two prior owners between California and Texas, this Cayenne Diesel has been kept up to date on all scheduled service and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee showing approximately 122k miles on the odometer.
This example comes finished in the Cayenne-exclusive color of Umber Metallic (M8U) with the optional Exterior Package in High Gloss Black and 18” Cayenne S III wheels with colored center crests. The car rides on a set of Michelin Latitude tires dated from 2019. The seller reports touched-up scrapes on the rear passenger side as well as some dimples in the rear bumper and paint chips in the front bumper. Inside, the Luxor Beige interior comes fitted with 14-way power seats including heating, ventilation, and memory settings. Other features include a heated multifunction steering wheel, Porsche Entry & Drive, a moonroof, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), the Bose Audio Package, and a rear trailer hitch. The footwells are lined with all-weather floormats and some wear is depicted on the driver seat.
Power comes from a 3.0L V6 turbocharged engine paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox and a permanent all-wheel-drive system featuring a self-locking center differential. Assembled by Audi and specially tuned by Porsche, this diesel engine can produce as much as 240 HP and 406 lb.-ft of torque while offering a combined EPA fuel rating of 23 mpg and a towing capacity of over 7,700 lbs. CARFAX shows a lifetime of maintenance through authorized Porsche dealers including the most recent recommended service and brake fluid flush by Michael Stead Porsche of California in 2020. The seller notes the oil, oil filter, and fuel filter have been recently replaced as well.

@galusha Several reasons it could have failed the SMOG test. In this case I am not exactly sure why but I would think it went and got the issue repaired then came back to pass the test. These have a DEF system that has to occasionally clean itself out. Possible that it was able to complete the cycle then came back to pass the test. Thanks! Miles

I notice also that the vehicle failed CA emissions in late 2021 and passed 300 miles later. Why?
@galusha last entry on the Carfax is 12/21 and it had 122k miles. Has gone about 700 miles since then. I purchased the car about two months ago and have added a few hundred miles. Definitely has been driven. Thanks! Miles
Looking at the CarFax mileage and the current mileage it appears that the vehicle hasn’t been driven for 2+ years. Please comment

The car is located in the southeast and shipping is available worldwide. This is a great Diesel. These can average 30mpg stock and with a tune can get up to 36-37 on the highway. I have been very impressed with the performance, reliability, and economy to these trucks.
@NHPorscheguy Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. So the extended warranty was dependent on when the diesel update was completed. This one was in 2017 at 68k miles. Warranty extended 4 years or 48k miles after that date. So this one is out by year. The transfer case issue actually does not involve the diesel which uses a different VW based transfer case. Your regular S, Turbo, and GTS models are the ones with the T-case issues. Thanks again, Miles
Hi - thanks for the excellent pictures of the vehicle...honest presentation of the vehicle is appreciated. Very nice color - great to see a cayenne that isn't black, white or gray. I have two questions. First, is this still under any extended warranty since its a diesel? I thought it was extended to 10 years or 120k miles, but can't recall the specifics. Also, I know the transfer cases were a problem on these. I didn't see anything in the Carfax that would suggest it was replaced, but just wanted to confirm this. The vehicle is likely at the end of the extended coverage (10 years, unlimited mileage) for that issue as well. Thanks
