Developed in collaboration with long-time BMW partner Alpina, the B7 is an ultra-high-end luxury sports sedan based on the long-wheelbase F02 7-Series. In addition to the luxurious amenities and driver-assist technology, the B7 features a unique aerodynamic package, an Alpina tuned suspension, and a special handbuilt version of BMW’s 4.4L twin-turbocharged N63 V8 engine that produces up to 540 HP. This 2014 example is finished in Citrin Black Metallic over a Platinum Merino Full Leather interior optioned with the Driver Assistance Plus Package, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and NightVision, as well as the Luxury Rear Seating Package. It was acquired by the seller in 2020 from Charleston, South Carolina, and is now being offered for auction out of Florida showing approximately 69k miles on the odometer.

The exterior is finished in Citrin Black Metallic (X02) and features Shadowline gloss black trim, a special front bumper with an integrated spoiler and additional brake cooling ducts, a unique rear valance with quad chrome exhaust tips, and a body-colored trunk lid spoiler. Other exterior details include adaptive LED headlights, LED fog lights, and integrated LED turn signals in the mirrors. The 21” 20-spoke Alpina Classic wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires from 2013-14. The front spoiler has been previously replaced and the full exterior is treated with ceramic coating.  A small scratch is noted on the trunk lid and driver's door handle, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Platinum Merino Full Leather and Alpina-specific Piano Black trim as well as an Anthracite Alcantara headliner. Details unique to the B7 include Alpina illuminated door sills, a metal production plate on the center console, and a heated leather-wrapped multi-function Alpina steering wheel that sits ahead of signature blue-faced Alpina gauges, including a 200-MPH speedometer and a 7k-RPM tachometer. This well-optioned B7 also offers 20-way adjustable heated and cooled front seats, a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, heated, ventilated, and massaging comfort rear seats, night vision with object recognition, and the Driver Assistance Plus Package, which includes side and top view camera, lane departure, blind-spot warning system, and a front collision warning system with pedestrian detection. Standard features include 4-zone climate control, a 10.2” color touch screen with iDrive and navigation functionality, front and rear parking sensors, keyless ignition and entry with soft-close doors, a power rear sunshade and manual rear side sunshades, auto-dimming mirrors, a heads-up display, and a rearview camera. The seller reports some minor wear on the center console, driver’s door pull area, and seat bolsters, and the rear sunshade does not go down under its own power.

The hand-built 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 engine generates as much as 540 HP and 538 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to all four wheels through an Alpina-tuned 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The B7 reaches 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 4.3 seconds with a top speed over 190 MPH. Compared with the standard BMW unit, this Alpina V8 features twin 44mm Honeywell turbochargers, reinforced cylinder heads, NGK spark plugs, high-performance MAHLE pistons, and Alpina-specific engine programming. Additionally, Alpina added an extra radiator, external engine and transmission oil-coolers, a larger electric engine fan, and larger intercoolers with increased diameter water lines. The suspension was modified by stiffening the spring rates by 20%, lowering the ride height by 15mm in the front and 10mm in the rear, upgrading the traction and stability control protocols, and fitting larger brakes from the 760i High-Security edition. Under the seller’s ownership, the heads-up display, spark plugs and ignition coils have been replaced. The CARFAX report shows a consistent history of dealership maintenance, and a service has been recently completed in preparation for sale.

This sale will include a clean title.

I live across the street from this car and the owner. I am a lifelong car guy (currently a Porsche 2016 Targa 4 GTS). I have driven this Alpina 3 times and been a passenger in it at least a dozen times. Not only did BMW do their best with this 7 series, but so did Alpina. This i s a cut above the normal Alpina with features (massaging rear seats, inlaid metal/wood trim, high end leather, etc.) It is gorgeous and gives an incredibly smooth ride, great stereo sound, super comfortble seats, etc. And the car is in terrific condition. It is also top of the line safe! I cannot believe the lack of bidding on this amazing car. I'd buy it myself if I had the garage space - these cars go for 150,000 miles or more - just look at the ads online. You cannot miss on this one (and I get nothing for saying this!!).

Btw, just recalled... the litte piece of horiz chrome trim that straddles the front fenders & doors... on the awd cars that trim reads "xDrive". It's blank chrome on rwd cars like this B7.

I sincerely apologize. PCAR does all of the editing on these ads, but the fault lies with me for not double checking that. I didn't bother to proofread it that carefully and it's wrong. Lesson learned.

Also the provided window sticker would have shown AWD/xDrive if it was so. So definitely an error in the description.

Ran the VIN, specs say RWD. Descrip needs to be corrected. Big difference, esp if you live where there's ice & snow.

  • Firewood (registered bidder) 1 year, 12 monthsago

Are you sure this is RWD? Most 2014 B7s were xDrive (awd). And the description indeed says it is an xDrive car. Of course the seller would know best though, after all. Please clarify and let us know if the descrip is in error. Thx & glwta.

  • MCTECH (registered bidder) 1 year, 12 monthsago

@artdiver I’m a bit confused as the description describes it as awd. BMWs X-drive.
    Please excuse my ignorance.

  • artdiver (seller) 1 year, 12 monthsago

    RWD

  • TWANKTWANK (registered bidder) 1 year, 12 monthsago

Is the car AWD or RWD?

  • artdiver (seller) 1 year, 12 monthsago

TerryBatzli, here's a pic of my white one I bought on here last year. I tried to upload more but evidently I'm full. Also, here's a new pic of the blemish on the driver's door just below the handle I promised Duke_dallas

I will asap, I bought my other one here on PCAR in Sept. out of Canada and bought it down to me here in Florida. It's a shorty and it has a white exterior which is what my wife demanded. Doesn't compare with the options on this black one. The leather is literally everywhere. The doors and pillars are completely leather and on my white one there is a fair amount of plastic. The rear seats reclining, massaging and hot and cold are quite an upgrade as well. The alcantara headliner isn't on the white shorty either. Wasn't aware that there was that many differences in the models. The rear overhead mirror pockets are a nice detail also. Extremely well appointed. I'll get a picture of the white one asap.

@artdiver please send a photo of your other B7

  • TerryBatzli (registered bidder) 1 year, 12 monthsago

My '13 has 36,000 miles... searched for over a year. The B & O sound system is unlike anything you've ever heard. I have absolutely no stake in this...just trying to encourage you car enthusiasts to the chance of a lifetime. Alpina typically imports about 500 B7s to the US annually so opportunties are rare for a well taken care of example. 0-100 mph in 9 seconds...

  • artdiver (seller) 1 year, 12 monthsago

Thank you TerryBatzli, you're a kindred spirit.... these are fantastic automobiles.... I can never see getting rid of my other one...

  • TerryBatzli (registered bidder) 1 year, 12 monthsago

This car would be a steal at $30,000!!

  • TerryBatzli (registered bidder) 1 year, 12 monthsago

I purchased a 2013 Alpina B7 about a year ago. I have owned them all but this is the finest automobile i've ever owned. Almost as fast as my 2007 M6 V10, in a very quiet way, and solid as a tank. Ultra high-end leather, etc. Feel like I'm driving a Bentley. I cannot say wenough about the B7s...

I just took the B7 out for a spin with some friends as I am always happy to show it off, especially if they've never been it before. I know exactly where the best drive is in Naples to really let this car run out. I love the responses when I manually shift it thru the gears and hit 70 in 3rd gear in a matter of a few seconds and ease off of it and almost coast up to 100 in fourth. I've never driven an AMG S65 or a Maybach S600 but it has to be close to this. Very, very quiet and very, very solid. Smoothly aggressive and uber confidant is the best way to describe driving it. Have always loved BMWs and for me I don't think there's a better car that combines the power and the elegance as do these Alpinas. I just heard they are not going to make these anymore after another few more years, what a shame.

no, there hasn't been any noticeable oil consumption as long as I've owned the car. I've only ever added one quart in the 6000 miles or so.

  • Duke_dallas (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

@artdiver Yes, I was looking for a pic of the scratch on the trunk. Oil consumption?

  • artdiver (seller) 2 yearsago

Duke_dallas, if you look at picture #5 it will show the only scratch on the entire car. At the trunk lid. About 1 inch long. The only other blemish is on the driver's door close to the handle which I will post in the morning.

  • artdiver (seller) 2 yearsago

yes, there are several of the trunk, which is like new condition and I'll take a picture of the one scratch first thing in the morning and post it.

  • Duke_dallas (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

@artdiver Also, I may have missed it but are there pictures in the gallery that show the trunk and door scratches? If not, can you provide detail shots?

  • Duke_dallas (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

@artdiver Thanks. Have you experienced any oil consumption between your oil changes?

  • artdiver (seller) 2 yearsago

I've had the oil changed several times since I've had the car. Last time was 10/26/21 when I also had the coolant flushed and the air filter changed out here in Naples at European Motors. I'm not sure why that is not showing up on CarFax. I have the receipts if you're interested in seeing them.
The tires are not original. I recently bought another 2014 Alpina B7 here on PCar in September of last year. It only had 12,000 miles on it and when I got it here I had the tires inspected for any signs of rot and they were given a clean bill of health by my Indy guys. When I decided to sell this Alpina I swapped out the tires from that one to this one. I will check the tread depth asap for you and report back. Thank you for your interest.

  • Duke_dallas (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

Nice B7. I don’t see mention of an oil change during your ownership. Have you experienced any oil consumption and had to top off the oil? What’s the tread depth of the tires being that they’re from 2013/14 so I guess original? Thanks.

  • artdiver (seller) 2 yearsago

Hello all PCar enthusiasts. Just wanted to say hello and invite you all to take a close look at one of the world's truly exceptional Grand Touring Sedans. I have two of these remarkable machines and my wife says it's time to cut one loose to make room for her new sporty baby, whatever that will end up being. I have so enjoyed having this one and still can't walk by it today without admiring it all over again as if I had just purchased it. The deep black metallic is such a unique color and the long, low silhouette is truly timeless. With all new plugs and upgraded coils the performance is fantastic, and the ride is so quiet and effortless it still after 8 years sits at the top of its class. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions and I'll do my best to get the answers to you as timely as I can. Enjoy.
