Introduced in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show as the successor to the 612 Scaglietti grand tourer, the Ferrari FF offered Ferrari's first production 4RM four-wheel-drive system. With “shooting brake” Pininfarina-styled bodywork, this two-door sporting estate showcases a combination of sleek and aggressive lines and an impressive 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. This 2014 example comes finished in Nero over Natural leather and features Scuderia Ferrari shields, red-finished brake calipers, a chrome-edged front grille, the Sport Exhaust System, a carbon fiber steering wheel, diamond-stiched seats, and additional options selected for over $25k which are not listed on the window sticker. Originally owned by Michael Rooney of the Pittsburgh Steelers, this no-expense-spared example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Hampshire while showing under 12k miles on the odometer.

The FF’s iconic design is characterized by a “shooting brake” body style penned by Pininfarina, with an iconic elongated hatchback design. This example comes finished in Nero complemented by optional Scuderia Ferrari shields, red-finished brake calipers, a front grille with chrome edges, and carbon fiber wheel caps. It rides on 20” alloy wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2020. Equipment includes Bi-Xenon headlamps, an integrated rear spoiler, a rear diffuser, and quad exhaust tips. The seller notes a minor paint imperfection on the rear passenger side, and paint protection film covers most of the hood. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cockpit is appointed with Natural leather upholstery with front and rear bucket seats, a black leather upper dashboard, and aluminum accents. Optional equipment includes diamond-stitched power-adjustable front seats with Cavallino-embossed headrests along with a leather lower dashboard, panoramic roof, Manettino carbon fiber steering wheel with LEDs, and leather luggage carpets.

Beneath the hood lies a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine with direct fuel injection. As much as 651 HP and 504 lb.-ft of torque are sent to all four wheels through Ferrari’s 4RM system a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Sport Exhaust System was opted for, and standard performance features include magnetorheological dampers, a double-wishbone front suspension, a multi-link rear suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, and an E-Diff electronic rear differential. The CARFAX report shows a total of 12 service history entries dating back to the initial delivery.

This sale will include a clean title (lien), owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a car cover, a battery charger, and a copy of the window sticker.

The seller would like you to know: “This is not just your run-of-the-mill Ferrari FF which in its own right it’s pretty incredible. This is one of the most optioned FF that ever left the factory floor with over $100,000, in options the price of a condo in some areas; that’s not all. This vehicle also carries an excellent ownership and maintenance history. Initially acquired by Michael Rooney, one of the owners of the Pittsburgh Steelers and this billionaire spared no expense on his purchase. Rarely do you see such an incredible vehicle.”

Thank you for uploading the records, it looks like one of the cats melted, as did the alternator and starter. I wonder what caused it!?

@Scarbone4 Thank you for letting me know. Have you had any luck with the photos of the front bumper?

  • Scarbone4 (seller) 8 months, 2 weeksago

@jbeinhor Great question. Unfortunately the car only came to us with one key. I will upload a photo momentarily.

@Scarbone4 FYI you should be able to obtain service summary which would be easier by any Ferrari dealer for services done at Ferrari.

I’m still trying to get the service records. I have a list of past service dealers that I need to contact.
I will try and get some photos of the front bumper later today or tomorrow morning.

  • jbeinhor (registered bidder) 8 months, 3 weeksago

Are you able to take additional photos of the front bumper of the car? Photo 15 shows some warping, which is common.

The_underhill_acct There’s a thread in FChat that tracks it. There’s no rhyme or reason for when the pit’s fail, which is why the records are nice to have.

  • The_underhill_acct (registered bidder) 8 months, 3 weeksago

@jbeinhor from reading threads over at Fchat….are those typically “time or mile” failures?

I may have misunderstood they are typically mileage “hurdle” related events?

    This one is so low….

Scarbone4 Thank you! I think many of us would like to see if either of the two big ticket items have been addressed -- The PTU and the speed sensor replacement in the transmission.

  • Scarbone4 (seller) 8 months, 3 weeksago

@BarryLe I will call Ferrari tomorrow to find out how I can obtain any maintenance records.

Scarbone4: At some point, will you be able to retrieve the service records for the successful bidder? Maintenance records are so important with. Ferrari.

  • Scarbone4 (seller) 8 months, 3 weeksago

Thank you. Yes the car was in a trust so we are able to sell it.

  • jbeinhor (registered bidder) 8 months, 3 weeksago

Thank you, Scarbone4. I'm sorry to hear about your father. Are you sure you have the ability to sell the car without issue? Has the title been transferred or passed through probate?

  • Scarbone4 (seller) 8 months, 3 weeksago

@RTGT There have been no suggestions for preventative maintenance made other than the keeping an eye in the battery.

  • Scarbone4 (seller) 8 months, 3 weeksago

@jbeinhor We just inherited the car a month ago. Unfortunately we are still dealing with the estate and probate and have been unsuccessful in gaining access to my Father’s office and records so we don’t have the maintenance records handy. It was just in for a recall and the dealer said it is up to date on all services except for the annual service for an oil change etc. There have only been about 500 miles out on the car since it was purchased by my Father so I’m fairly sure any paint damage was done before hand.

  • RTGT 8 months, 3 weeksago

Has there been any preventative maintenance not completed but suggested? Engine mounts, trans mount, or any other areas of concern? Hard to tell from the photos, what is the condition/texture of the buttons, sticky/tacky? Thank you.

  • Scarbone4 (seller) 8 months, 3 weeksago

@jbeinhor Hi we have 4 pieces of matching luggage and we were planning on selling them separately.

Hi -- sorry for the multiple messages. Black Horse Garage also advertised it having a documented service, do you have any of the records? And did the incident with the paint occur after taking ownership? What happened specifically? Is it just in one area?

    Thanks!
