We are pleased to offer for auction this stunning 2014 Porsche 991 Carrera “50th Anniversary Edition”. Being number 1,227 out of only 1,963 models produced, this Carrera is part of a limited production run that was commissioned by Porsche to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first 911 produced in 1963. Finished in Geyser Grey Metallic over an Agate/Geyser leather interior with Houndstooth inserts, this limited edition 911 is one of the most exclusive and highly sought-after examples ever created. This example was purchased new from Gold Coast Porsche in 2013, subsequently making its way to Fallbrook, CA years after. The car is now being offered with fewer than 3k miles on the odometer in exceptional condition.
Optioned in Geyser Grey Metallic, the exterior paint on this Carrera is said to remain in showroom condition. The “50th Anniversary Edition” utilizes the wide body shell from the Carrera 4S, yet retains a rear-wheel drive format; a nod to the 1963 911. Additionally, the suspension is 10mm lower than a standard Carrera to improve aerodynamics, handling, and add an overall more aggressive look. The combination of the lower stance and wide-body look is truly unique to this special Anniversary Edition 911. The Geyser Grey Metallic is accentuated by subtle exterior styling cues such as the smoked mascara headlamps as well as black/chrome air intakes in the front grill and engine cover. The lowered body sits on 20” Fuchs-style Sport Classic wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires.
This Carrera's interior features a striking combination of Agate/Geyser Grey leather with Houndstooth inserts. The instrument dials hark back to the original 911 from 1963 and feature green lettering, white needles, and silver pointer caps. The dash and doors feature leather trimming that is cut from finer material while the heavily-brushed aluminum trim separates this model from other 911's. The retro inspired interior is perfectly balanced with modern conveniences such as the Porsche Communication Management System interface which features navigation. With an MSRP of $138k, this model was ordered with the following options:

Power comes from a 3.8L flat-six engine that highlights the optional X51 power package delivering 430 HP and 325 lb-ft of torque through the rear wheels by way of a desirable 7-speed manual transmission. The X51 package drastically improves performance with an ECU tune, upgraded cylinder heads and cams, as well as a redesigned intake which improves cooling. The result is a naturally aspirated engine that propels this Carrera to 60 MPH in under 4.0 seconds with a top speed of approximately 186 mph. This 991 is stated to have been properly cared for throughout its life with regularly scheduled maintenance and remains under its extended Porsche Factory Warranty until late 2020.
The sale will include the original owner's manuals, service books, and two sets of master keys. The car is accompanied by a clear title and is ready to be enjoyed by its new new owner.

Wow! Yes, Beautiful. I would love to add this one to my collection, but unfortunately (...well, perhaps fortunately) I would have one too many and not prepared to move one for this....yet. I agree, anyone looking for well kept limited series, such as this 50 Year 911, it's certainly one to consider. I'll keep an eye on it.

Note that it is not accurate to say that a 50th Anniversary car was “optioned with” X51 when all 1963 examples of the anniversary edition came with this standard. It is part of what makes these cars special but does not distinguish this car from other 50th Anniversary cars.

Much as I tried to find something wrong with this car, I couldn't. It's the perfect 50-YE. (Ok, maybe adding silver belts and white dials and it'd really be perfect, but ....) Wow. For anyone looking for a great 50-YE 911, this is it.
