Up for auction is this 2014 Porsche 991 GT3 finished in White over a Black leather/Alcantara interior. Unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the 991 generation GT3 was debuted with a new high-revving 3.8L engine along with rear-axle steering and wider bodywork with lightweight aluminum panels. This 2014 example was specified with an optional extended range fuel tank, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Sound Package Plus, 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats, Sport Chrono Package, and more. It features a custom race livery, Fabspeed sport mufflers, Girodisc ceramic brake rotors, OZ wheels, Sparco 2000 racing seats, and a roll bar. It has been professionally maintained since new and is now being offered for auction out of North Carolina with just over 13k miles showing on the odometer.

This 991 was ordered in White (0Q) and features a custom GT1-inspired Mobil racing livery along with removable yellow headlight tints. The aftermarket black-painted 19” OZ Superleggera center-lock wheels come mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and the set of unused original 20" GT3 wheels and tires are said to accompany the sale as well.  The vehicle has seen some track use while the front end remains preserved under clear paint protection film, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with brushed aluminum inlays, exclusive seatbelts in Racing Yellow, and instrument dials in White. A set of Sparco 2000 racing bucket seats have been fitted along with a yellow bolt-in roll bar, Safecraft racing harnesses, and a floor-mounted fire extinguisher. The seller reports an airbag warning light present due to the aftermarket racing seats, and notes the original 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats have been carefully stored away for the next owner.

Brand new engine, and all parts to either go back to stock, or leave it as a track set up. alot of bang for your buck here!

  • Rmineo993 (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@Rmineo993 Sorry, I check my records again. The tires have been through 34 sessions. The tread is about half.

  • Foxtrot (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

@Rmineo993 Thank you and sorry...I did see the tires after asking the question.

  • Rmineo993 (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@Foxtrot I am running Michelin sport cup 2. They are about 1/2 life. The stock wheels have the same and they have not been on the car and are from 2020.

  • Foxtrot (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

I apologize if I missed this...what tires have you been running on your track day excursions? Are there tread or heat cycles left in your mounted set? How about the stock wheels and tires? Thank you in advance...

    @Rmineo993 Lucky son :)

Great to hear Porsche standing up behind your GT3. Remember hearing there was an engine issue with some of the builds...

As you probably know, karting (especially for 911s) is best way to learn chassis and braking dynamics.

Was very lucky, 20 years ago, to get in 1000 hours in karts at F1 Boston (indoor, and outdoor). Makes my turbo feel like a passenger car :)

Then a 1st day at Lime Rock in one of their Vipers...finally got 6 years in a PCA 3.399L club car. Then 4 kids showed up :)

Nothing like a real track day!

Hope she finds the right buyer.

@MPM97twin It was. Porsche definitely stands by their cars as long as you don't chip them or over rev them. I love this car for the street or the track. I would keep it longer, but I am looking for a new track car that I can share with my son. This is not a starter car for a teenager.

  • MPM97twin 2 years, 1 monthago

    @Rmineo993

Thanks for the information on the engine. So the new engine was covered under warranty?

Sure looks/sounds like quite the track car!

    GLWA!

@PCarMartJM A1: Yes, the OEM muffler is included in the sale.
A2: Yes, PCCBs are included in the sale. 12,010 miles on them. The are in good condition, just normal wear. I will up load some pictures later today.
A3: Yes, engine was replaced under warranty by Southpoint Porsche in Durham, NC by their chief mechanic that specializes in GT vehicles. Replaced by a OEM Porsche engine (newer spec). Engine is covered under original warranty to late 2024.

  • PCarMartJM (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

Will the original OEM exhaust accompnany the sale?

Will the orignal OEM PCCP discs accompany the sale? If so how many miles on the discs, what is the condition and can you provide photos?

I see you note the engine replacement but said dealer provided basic information - can you confirm the engine was replaced by a certified Porsche dealer, under warranty, with new Porsche OEM engine?

And can you confirm that the engine remains under warranty under the original 10 year extended engine warranty Porsche offered on this vintage GT3?

    Thx

  • Rmineo993 (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@MPM97twin I am estimating about 8 hours or less of on track time on the engine. Dealership did not provide details of engine swap, just basic information. Flywheel was also replaced during the engine work.

  • MPM97twin 2 years, 1 monthago

How many hours in those 6 days has the new engine experienced? Also, were there engine replacement details listed somewhere?

  • Rmineo993 (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@gtamustang I believe it is vynl decals. The PPF is under the graphics. I am in Raleigh. The previous owner lived in Greensboro. I am around this week. Friday or Saturday would be the best days, but do have limited time Thursday and Sunday.

  • gtamustang (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

Questions about the graphics on this 991. Are the graphic film or something else? Also is the front end PPF over or under the graphics.

I see service has been performed out of Greensboro but the listing says Raleigh. Are you in Raleigh or closer to the Triad? Are you available this week for in person inspection/viewing?

  • Rmineo993 (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@uncleben Correct about the motor series. The rotors are Gyro Disks - $1750/each axle. The pads are Performance Friction 11, I can't find the price on those at the moment. They were installed before my last two events, so 6 track days. I actually preferred the Girodisc and PFC pads over the CCBs on the track. It might have been the dollar signs running through my mind when I was braking with CCB's.

  • uncleben (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

I'm apparently also slow as I missed the last sentence that stated engine had been replaced, nice. Is that a G series motor, I assume?

Also- what can you tell us about the aftermarket pads/rotors? What kind of life do they get using on track, and what do they cost to replace? I've been trying to find a GT3 with steel brakes so I don't have to worry about occasional tracking and the cost of CCBs, but maybe the aftermarket CCBs are a good middle ground?

  • Rmineo993 (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@uncleben Thanks for the question. The car has only seen High Performance Driver's Education days at Virginia International Raceway. 16 total Days (6 on current engine). Approximately 1900 miles total (600 on current engine). No accidents and no off track excursions. I guess I am a slow driver.

  • uncleben (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

Hi seller- can you more clearly define "The vehicle has seen some track use" for us, please? Thanks!

  • Rmineo993 (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

Thank you for viewing. I am the owner and I am here to answer your questions. Best of luck.
